He's only 18, it would be bizarre if it had translated already. It is very rare for 18 year olds to be stars, especially in the PL. The exceptions truly are normally generational talents like Rooney and Fabregas.
If he hasn't broken through at Villa yet, the chances are he isn't going to get a look in here either. We have stiff competition in the attacking midfield positions as it is.

In reality no. He’s at his level and probably will move between Everton and a current Newcastle if he became available. Yes he’s doing very well and he should be proud of his development.

But this wasn’t the point I was making. He’s not got the same projected ability level as Chukwuemeka.. But it’s all potential isn’t it… however I would rather United risk buying him than say Ramsey all because he happens to be the better player right now.

There’s not internet because he’s available. I have said already top clubs have been monitoring this kid for ages, Man City being another club who really like him and have tried to get him.

It’s in our interest to do so as we might have to fork money on them in the future once they develop or we might get situations where they don’t sign a new deal like this. We have never been interested in Jacob Ramsey. That’s probably because we produce our own with more talent than him.

Its not potential when you have a player who has played well and scored 5 goals from a midfield 3. He's already done it. Its not the future, its the present

Yeah I don’t get what your arguing about. It doesn’t matter.

Enjoy your day.

He's more of an 8 as far as I'm aware, which we have very limited options for currently. Think he played most of his games in a double pivot at u23 level. Not sure about when he comes on for Villa in PL as never really focused much on him. Again though, he's 18, he shouldn't be breaking through at any PL club yet. The fact that he's even getting mins says a lot about his talent, especially when he seems to be refusing to sign a contract. I'd be interested to see a comparison with other 18 years olds in the PL last season and how many mins they played. I suspect not very much. At 21/22 is when most players start showing their ability at PL/La Liga/Serie A/Bundesliga level

You’re quite literally the one who created an argument here.

I suggest you have a tea or a Kit Kat and enjoy your evening. We’re not signing either player for the time being so let’s get those knickers untwisted.

We supposedly let Dortmund pay bellingham about 60k and weren’t prepared to match it. If we sign this guy we most likely won’t ever sign Bellingham. I’d rather have given Bellingham whatever he wanted 2 years ago than go for this.
Bellingham to Dortmund was more about football than wages. They had Sancho, Haaland, Reyna etc in the first team and a history of nurturing talent absorbed from all over the world. In the last 10 years, we on the other hand have developed talent like Chong and Pereira to showcase.

Great talent there. Can’t wait to see him playing for Vitesse.

Maybe he was priced out of doing this but I think it would've been a lot more sensible for him to go abroad and establish himself before coming back to a bigger Premier League side.

He'll probably just be on Chelsea's perennial list of players getting farmed out on loan now.

Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, etc.

We're not City who block every youth talent's progression with two £50m players in each position.

He left those players out to make it seem like we are bad at nurturing youth.

He apparently turned down a huge wage offer from Villa. So on top of the £20m fee we paid I’m assuming he’s also on big wages now.

I don’t think we go all out on this kid in this way if he’s just going to be out on loan for years. A loan this season with a return next summer seems like the best plan.

Another farm investment for Chelsea. Tuchel must have made some promises, otherwise its a strange move.

Last season senior minutes:
PL: 294
FA Cup: 0
EFL Cup: 121
EFL Trophy: 90

Total: 505

If he replace RLC seems easy to get more than that at Chelsea with 5 subs.

In midfield at Chelsea? Good luck to him. They're already stocked enough that Gallagher might not play and should leave.

I'm gonna go ahead and call it as a new Barkley for them

The 5 subs rule should allow it to happen. I think it’s a silly move too soon for him for what it’s worth I don’t think he’s ready to take a starting spot.

Personally think he’d have been much better off running down his contract waiting for Bellingham to move and then following his footsteps to a Borussia Dortmund or other more development focussed side.

He'll spend a year at their under 23's, a year at Vitesse, a year at Derby and then be sold. Not sure about Vitesse as the Russian link is gone
