that's approximately £19.999m too much
You're never happy though so that's not a surprise.

When Ronaldo leaves and we're left with Martial alone for 60 games a season, lets see how much you're whinging then too.

could it not be attributed to the league they went to? its the same with the Depay thing and Lukaku. Dudes leave the premier league and go to a "less taxing" league and show out then all of a sudden they are "dons". I dont see it like that
Might be a bit of both to be honest… can’t say he hasn’t improved them though because Haller was banging them in the champions league.

Not gonna lie, he looks amazing in that video  Haven't really seen him since his United days and it was evident that he wasn't cut out for the winger role but he might be good as a striker (remember him playing there for us once and was impressive).
Would we not be better of playing martial up top and signing a right winger? We’re short on the right wing… up front we have rashford who can fill in with martial and Ronaldo if he stays… right wing we just have sancho who’s the only one comfortable playing there.

We are one injury to Martial away (not the unlikeliest scenario) and we have no number 9 (if Ronaldo leaves). So Depay would make absolutely sense. For 20 mill it's a no brainer really.

Like I said though rashford can play up top if needs be… Depay is similar to rashford as he likes being on the left but can come into the middle. If sancho gets injured who do we play right wing? None of the young lads are up to it.

Depay is very good with his back against the goal though. He's a bit like Martial in that regard. Rashford not at all. I don't see him as a number 9. Ever.

I would take him only if he promised not to drive his RR to training.

I don't see the point of this at all. He wasn't cut out for the premier league the first time round, and he's done nothing since then to suggest he's become the world beater we need. He wouldn't be an upgrade on Martial either.

20m for an established player in the current market is really good value. He just turned 28 as well. He has grown as a footballer and as a person.
Great international stats. Did fantastic in France, a bit meh in Barcelona, but Barcelona was already in turmoil when he arrived. He would do really well under Ten Hag.

Worth it just for the acronym these names would make ...
Bruno Depay Sancho Martial

If we got Antony instead, presents us with a much more gentle alternative ...
Antony Sancho Martial Rashford

why? He is still playing in the EPL which Ten Haag as little experience in. I'd take him for 20m though

Salah and De Bruyne weren't 'cut out' for the PL first time around either..

I'm not saying Depay is on their level, but to write him off completely is a bit silly I think. I think for around £20m, he'd be a very useful option and provide cover for when Ronaldo eventually leaves

De Bruyne not cut out? We barely saw him. Salah he had the pace to beat the trap but was a bit erratic with finishing. Funny enough both of them were under Jose, the great giver of youth

He won't be a bad option when you think about it. Not a top player definitely but he has improved ever since he left us, he can be a good squad option on the flanks and up top, and we do need some options. For 20m only there's nothing wrong with this.

Won't find another 1 in 2 International striker that actually wants to join us, especially not for the price quoted. We're going to get injuries and need to rotate, and with 5 subs this season, someone like Depay would be a great option.

we don't play international football. the fact people keep stating his "international stats" is concerning

I’d only look at him for sub €20 million. He’s not good enough as a first team option, and always looks far too bulky. Like the time Goku tried to surpass SSJ in the hyperbolic time chamber before fighting Cell in DBZ.

It’s been implied here that we need a world beater at CF and that Depay is no world beater. I agree, but there are no CF world beaters on the market right now. If 20m can be banked on and a decent wage worked out, assuming we bring in de Jong as the main order of business, it would be a good move for us.

Are there any reliable sources saying we're in for him? Or are we just filling pages for fun?

I think it's just speculation for us related to the FDJ saga but I saw Newcastle maybe interested.

A Crack Habit.
Would fit the profile of versatile forward perfectly would also mesch well with Ten hag style of inter changing forwards with movement. Also knows OT and has unfinished business here. The only slight draw back I can see is his social media presence being similar to Lingard's(not a big fan of excessive self promotion) but I think that can easily be tempered. A good signing as a rotation option, we'd be getting a more grown up self assured version of the player we signed all that time ago.

Can see him or Danjuma being two good options.

so you think he's good enough suddenly for us... you must think they've fallen further than I do. How very pessimistic of you
I think for £20m he's a decent squad option, in a position where we're going to be very light, when Ronaldo leaves.

Depending on the cost, as well as how the Ronaldo situation sorts itself out, Memphis would be good addition to the squad as an option at centre forward.

When we had him last, he was still figuring out his game. Its showed at Lyon, Barca and with Holland that he's not really a winger but a forward. I could see Memphis being able to replicate the kind of things Martial has been doing in Ten Hag's system: Dropping off, getting involved in build up, holding up the ball decently etc. In a pinch he could also be deployed off the flanks. We could do a lot worse.

The big question will be: Having been a squad player at Man Utd once would Memphis settle for that role again, especially when he's Holland's main striker and Qatar 22 is months away? I doubt it somehow.

wow... that's all I can say. I think you'll find it's that sort of purchasing that's put us where we are today. He wasn't even close to good enough when we got rid of him and I see no huge improvement

He's moved to a more central position and transitioned into an (average 1 in 2/3 striker). That's not bad for a squad option and to say we'd be getting the same player back is clearly nonsense.

I don't think we'll get him anyway, I just find it tiring that you'll attack the club for anything and everything.

I'm not sure how legit the links are but surprisingly I wouldn't mind him coming back. His goal record is pretty good, looks like at Barcelona he comes off the bench so maybe he do something similar for us. Looks like he plays more as a striker these days rather than out wide.

It's widely used as a yardstick to reflect a player's ability, because its elite level competition. It's not rocket science. That's akin to saying we don't play football in Holland, so we should stop buying Eridivisie players.

I've probably supported the club for longer than you've been alive but don't let facts get in the way of your nonsense. I just happen to call out things that we are no longer doing as well as other clubs which is why we are where we are. but again, clearly that doesn't worry you.
