Chong didn't even touch him. Even in a friendly these La Liga teams bring the shithousery

I know hes very young, but there's literally nothing I see in Chong. He could play in a second league side and fit in.

What’s clear as day for me is that ETH has got the first 11 purring with his football. Everyone else looks like they haven’t got the reps in training yet. Tbf, these boys have never played with each other and they look like it. The defensive transitions are a horror show.

Our academy lads are so overrated. So little quality with most of them.
Yeah it puts to bed the calls to throw the kids into the team when the established players aren't performing. Laird, Garner, Chong, Elanga...theyre nowhere near United quality

Donny doesn't have the running power to get back. Done well on the press but as soon as that is broken he is just out of the game.

The step up in quality from academy to professional, especially Premier League level is absolutely massive. People always underestimate this
True. When you see posters get offended when someone claims that X or Y academy United player isn't even a squad level player potentially for United, you just realize how overrated our academy lads are by some.

Garnacho has been the best player on the pitch and outside of positioning for the goal I think Laird has looked lively too, Chong shouldn’t even be playing pre season games for us as he’s awful and will never be good enough.

Rayo played the best bit of football of the entire game. A shit Spanish team still spreads the ball better than us
A team not used to playing with each other, kids playing, pre season, against la liga opposition.

Don't get the slating of the academy boys. There are first team players out there who aren't good enough. Quite a few of them sadly

He's just one of those who looked class at youth level and hasn't been able to make the step up to the senior game. He's simply nowhere near the standard required.

Let's be honest they probably have a better midfield than us, like most teams. It's astounding that Eriksen is our only signing for that area right now.

I think we need changes. Know it's a friendly but hate them outplaying us.

Well done Heaton there

DVB loves making those simple few meters pass and leave the responsibility to someone else.

Garner is pretty mediocre himself. Doesn't do anything in midfield, another one who leaves responsibility to others and only attempt those few yards passes.

It obviously doesn't as Amad, Mejbri and Garnacho have been good. As have Savage and Iqbal when given their opportunities during the tour. Some youth players are going to be good and some aren't, it's not rocket science.

We have a third team selection against their starters. It would be extremely worrying for them if they weren't as good or slightly better.
