When all of this is done I hope that as Frenkie walks out on to the pitch to wave at the fans he looks to his side and asks the stranger beside him, also waving, who the hell he is. And then @Berbaclass just turns and smiles at him as he replies "The One Who Always Believed, Frenkz. The One Who Always Believed."

I'm expecting positive news tomorrow. Well I'm really hoping for some. I'm very surprised Fab hasn't said anything tonight
Have I missed something today? Impossible to check this thread as 95% of it is unbearable.

Sport doing a u-turn and saying de Jong hasn't rejected United but won't negotiate until his wage issue and bonus is sorted.

Literally a complete change from recent weeks. Laporta also pouring cold water on the Chelsea links and saying there's never been any talks with Chelsea, or something like that

I have family visiting from the UK for a few days from tomorrow, we'll be going out a lot. Sod's law we get loads of movement on this. :(
Your sacrifice will be remembered, hopefully the good stuff will come when you're around :) Have a great time with family though!

I’d say it’s 95% random, never been unbearable. But it was 95% that started this whole thing…..
I guess so... its been amazing though all the way through. One of the most fun threads I've been in. Still got the flight tracking yet!!

Teamtalk are reporting that our final offer includes paying the debt but that's probably old news on here. I can't be arsed reading through the pages of madness

This thread needs to go into the classics, it's had everything you can imagine
No way! FDJ didn't properly flirt with us for it to go there.

There was no Sneijder 'we will see' moment and neither was there an Alcantara ball sign moment.

That one seems a bit off to me. We've had a bit accepted and no one is willing to gazump us. Why would we up our offer now after carrying on the brinkmanship this long?

At least we still win summer saga every season. What with this never ending farce and the Ronaldo story, we’re still top of the class at this sort of stuff.

If we're talking about obscene things that should never happen that are all over the internet, you guys should check out "one de Jong one Laporte", it's grotesque.

What is artillery supposed to mean? Chances are, there is some movement in there because we are upping our offer.

You are probably right about their intentions but I think, there is a misunderstanding of the first part. If the two of us made some agreement, that I'll work for you, you'll pay me 40k in the first year, and then 50k in the 2nd and 3rd year, and I leave after the first year, than I have no right to ask for more than my 40k. Seems like that is the case with FDJ, who in best intentions wanted to help his club through a rough time, but was badly advised (it seems at least), so is now in a situation where the payments he pushed into the future are simply not due yet, so there is no way for him to get them. Therefor, not contractually owed but, as I said, morally owed. Think, there is also something with loyalty bonuses which increase over contract length and seem to be due every summer, might be the case that the 17 million are about that.
There is a contract if he stays. You're basing your post on the assumption he is 100% leaving, in which case I would agree, he would forfeit the deferred wages because he's not fulfilling the contract and neither are Barca. He can choose to stay and there is not much Barca can do about it other than make his stay miserable as feck. There is no way they come out the good guys if that were to happen and it's unknown what effect that is going to have on the registration of players and wages. Barca will be the ones to waiver in this battle as they have the most to lose. Player registrations, salaries, all these fecking levers they keep pulling. They are kicking the can down the road and making their already dire financial situation worse. The easy out is to pay Frenkie and he will leave. Hopefully to us.
