Weird window in that I'm happy with our signings but still think its been a downright bad window.

Really excited by Martinez and Malacia in particular but we've recruited them and Eriksen for the positions where I felt we least urgently needed strengthening. We still haven't addressed our awful midfield unit, right back, right/left wing (whichever Sancho doesn't play on) and our forward line. One injury to Martial and we could already be writing off any hopes for a good start to the season.

Midfield: FdJ, Bennacer, Cacqueret, Kouadio Kone, Mo Kudus (pick two)
Right back: Such a dearth of quality right now but Gusto, Matheuzinho
Wing forward: Cherki, Kamaldeen Suleimana, Mudryk, Madueke
Forward: Most difficult position to fill - Sesko, Jonathan Davids, Burkart, Tammy
Out with an injury until the end of the year.

"Gee Brain, what do we need this transfer window?"

"Same thing we need every transfer window, a GK, RB, CB, CDM, RW, CF"

I'd be content if we went full Dutch and got Memphis, Ziyech and De Jong. Let Ronnie leave. Give Laird a shot. Should be fine for the season.

I just want it to end

United and Ten Hag need squad depth. At this moment. Without Frenkie De Jong and Chong and Diallo as other RW options.

Those 2 positions can be short. A CM and RW squad depth.

Then i will recommend United and Ten Hag a really good upcoming cm player. A player that Ten Hag has works with. His name is :

Kenneth Taylor. May 16, 2002.

Description. He is versatile. mobile, run a lot and can cover big area on the pitch.
He is best with his left foot. But is good with his right foot too.

To catch his current level. I will compare him Donny Van de Beek. As a central midfield player. I rate Kenneth Taylor over DVB.

Its more speed and drive in Taylor than DVB. Taylor is at the age of 20. The age where you are quickest and can run most. Not only top speed over long distance, but the acceleration. Taylor is really quick in the first metres with the ball.

And Kenneth Taylor current market value 4.5 mill euros. Its a lot of value for the money.
DVBeek MV is at 25 mill euros. It is where i think the right market value for Kenneth Taylor is.
4.5 market value for Kenneth Taylor. Its only because he is still unknown. Unknown for Transfermarkt.com.
When Kenneth Taylor will play for Ajax in champion league and domestic league. His market value will rise over 15 mill euros by the end of the next season. I am 100 % convince of it.

Like i said. Ten Hag has work with him. Kenneth Taylor is 20 and if he can become better than he is now. Then he will reach a really high level in football. In the next and years to come.

Where Kenneth Taylor can play?:

In a 433 formation:

RW - Taylor RCM - Taylor CDM - Taylor LCM - LW

Like i said he is versatile. He can play all of the 3 cm roles and postions. Taylor has really high ball skill and is quick in the first metres. He easily will get away from aggresive presser.

And i think he can play RW too. As quick and skill ful he is. Kenneth Taylor can do a decent job as RW. Bring squad depth to United RW options.

Again, for 4.5 and to bring squad depth to United cm midfield option. With a lot lesser risk for a really low transfer fee. Kenneth Taylor i believe will turn out to be a really good buy for United and Ten Hag.
Interesting. Thanks for sharing. Defo one to watch.

The list gets longer and longer.

To sit here and watch a squad thats even worse than the one that finished sixth last season is heartbreaking.

Yeah it's minimum of seven for first XI

GK (De Gea distribution isn't up to scratch)
CB (leader)
RB (can defend and attack)
CDM
CM
RW
ST (not a 33 year old)

Surely the answer is a vaguely competent director of football rather than the second rate administrator we currently have

My wit's end
DDG/Heaton

Shaw/Malacia
Torres/Varane
Maguire/Lindelof
New RB/Dalot

Martinez/McTominay
Eriksen/Fred

Bruno/VdB

Rashford/Garnacho
Sancho/Ziyech
Martial/Arnautovic

4 realistic and affordable signings (assuming we can find a suitable RB).

Arnautovic, Dalot, DDG, Fred and McTominay aren't long term options. That'd need to be addressed next summer.

11 days until the season starts. Still haven't resolved the Ronaldo issue. Still have McFred as our first choice CM (unless Eriksen is being played there), still have no proper other options for our wings then Sancho and Rashford. Which begs the question. What the feck are we doing.

And I haven't even mentioned the RB and GK situation which will need adressing sooner rather than later too.
Got news for you, 11 days later the same problems persist. Oh and we've bid for Arnautovic.

Two actual central midfielders with genuine premier league quality. Anyone. Honestly I’d take Caicedo, JWP, Tielemans, anyone, let alone De Jong or someone actually top class.

Brighton outplays us with a bunch of players that wouldn't even make our bench, and the first thing we do is discuss how many new players we need. IMO this is a wrong approach. More than anything, shows that the most pressing issue isn't new signings but proper coaching and time. I know it's boring and if the players aren't capable of implementing the manager's ideas on the pitch, we obviously need to replace them, but if Graham Potter can make Pascal Gross and Danny Welbeck look like world beaters, EtH should be able to get a tune out of what we've got. He also acknowledged this in his post match presser.

We really need to splash the cash now. Forget FDJ and get on with some sensible business before it’s too late - if it’s not already.

That’s ok if you are not sat on zero points after 3 games, which is looking quite likely. He’s has a good while to coach this bunch which looked half-decent in pre-season - but absolutely froze today.

What do we need? A fecking miracle at this point. A proper midfield would be a good start.

New owners. The club is dead without them. They don't learn from mistakes. Appointing Arnold after the Woodward fiasco is just mental but they did it anyway. Murtough has been here since Moyes was appointed and been involved in all the failure. What do they do? Promote him.

I can't even have a go at the coaches or the players anymore. Until the owners sell up we are finished.

Where are even loose links to a second midfielder, my god there must be some seriously blind people at this club right now.

I will still drag out the usual suspects

It's criminal that we've gone into the season without a new forward, midfielder, and right back. Everyone involved in our dealings this window is culpable for how the season plays out. ETH isn't blameless either, fixating only players he is familiar with has left us missing out on many midfielders and forwards that could bolster a squad lacking in quality and numbers.

I was excited for this season when ETH was announced, that has mostly faded and all that's left is the hope his coaching can paper of the cracks until we get real replacements for these pathetic losers.

I can’t understand why our throw-ins can’t always find our players. We must be only top-6 side to do that.Whenever we get a throw in we are team who is under pressure.
I can’t believe Ole , Ralf and Eth did not see the problem and solve it. I honestly don’t know what’s wrong with our club. It’s definitely more than need of quality players.
Can’t rule out curse or black magic :)

Spurs, City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea

We're in the next tier with Leicester, West Ham and Newcastle. I guess it's debatable. Our team is dysfunctional and I can honestly see us finish 8th place. Don't see it getting any better either because we've had months, if not years, to sort out glaring holes in the team but the Glazers are clearly sucking us dry still. Said it all summer, if we don't get a defensive and central midfielder we wont see any progress. You can't start with McTominay and Fred and expect to improve. They are garbage. The central midfield is the core of the team. What alternatives do we have? Garner? Zero premier league experience. Same with Iqbal, Mejbri. That or playing Eriksen or van de Beek (who's useless) in the wrong position.

Face the facts. We haven't done nearly enough in the market, this season and years before that and we're only falling further behind. All the teams above us last season had a better off-season. Why should we expect to improve? Ten Hag?

For me our priority positions this summer were RB, DM, CF and RW. As a bonus I wanted another CM and CB.

We have not recruited a single player for our priority positions. This is laughably bad. Murtough has failed ETH. At any other serious club, this is a sackable offence.

The bare minimum is a midfielder, RW, RB and an ST if Ronaldo leaves.

For midfield, ready up an alternative to De Jong, and give a deadline on the De Jong deal before that alternative becomes unavailable.

For RB, loan Awb out If we can't sell him. Don't care if we pay half his wages but if his presence is blocking a right back from coming in then get rid no matter the means.

For RW, God knows why we haven't secured an one by now. Not even any credible links to targeting one. Makes no sense

For ST, just don't let Ronaldo leave unless we find a suitable replacement

Best thing that could happen to us is that Erik doesn't get backed and he ends up walking away. The Glazer out movement would never have had as much momentum.

How come nothing is happening, almost 24 hours after the shit show that was our midfield (and more) yesterday

Should have sent transfer dealings into overdrive and work nonstop to secure some players

Embarrassing this club, fecking glazers!
Why and what did Gill and Fergie get moved into? Some brainstorm thinking advicery bubble? Reckon they happy with this Squad? Are they also of no ambition anymore? Why are they even still around? Where and what is our DoF doing?

Have to back ETH properly or he is out soon enough and it's another restart. How is it not blatantly obvious we need more out and more new in. Ralf said 10 new in needed and got fired, well looks like he was right but it's cheaper to use fred & mctominay again and again and expect them to improve.

transfers that would please Ten Hag and also the fans:

RB - Jeremie Frimpong, £30m
DM - Teun Koopmeiners £25m
CM - Konrad Laimer £15m
RW - Hakim Ziyech £10m, 1 year loan
CF - Benjamin Sesko £40m

It's actually fecking abysmal that everyone knows what we need and yet the club just aren't doing it. It's the most competitive the PL has ever been and the directors are pissing themselves over having to pay an extra 10 million for De Jong. Liverpool just paid £95m for a one season wonder from the Portuguese League for fecks sake. They just aren't as bothered about making United a force again as we as fans are.
