So glad we don't do ridiculous fan attended presentations.

Why? This is how you show how big the club is, how many fans you've got, this is what makes players adored...

So I guess you wee a fan of Owen and Valencia presentation on a balcony the same year when Real Madrid got the full stadium to present Cristiano Ronaldo?

This is business, football.

I think they are cringey. I don't care about the adoration of footballers, their egos are out of control as it is.

I much prefer a simple announcement.

And there are still some people who think player unveilings are pointless.

Yes, you may not like it, but don't ever compare United to Barcelona or Real. This is what a young players dreams of and this is why United will never be as great option as these two.

Why present him, when he is not even registered? Failed club.

But most of its empty - clearly their own fans don't care about it either.

Weird take, so if we paraded around new purchases we'll become more enticing to players?

You seem like the type of fan who would be big into the idea of this stuff

I like unveilings but Dybala's was so over the top  Acting as if they had signed Messi instead of a player that's been underwhelming for a long time and had 1-2 seasons where he was actually world class.

I really liked the way we presented Varane, though.

English clubs could try that but who’s going to be there apart from the unemployed demographic and the tourists who were in the right place at the right time?

If the turnout is shit, it gets mocked too.

I miss Bryan Robson sitting at a shitty, wobbling table on the OT pitch.

This is not football. Players don't dream of being presented. They dream to play football. I find this pretty pointless and nothing to cheer about.

I think we'd become such, yeah.

But of course Manchester United is the biggest club ever, bla bla bla.
I mean fair enough but I just it's such a small part of playing for a club, I think actually winning stuff would do more increase our appeal.

57,000 tickets reserved (the tickets were for free). At 12:30 pm on Friday.
57,000 tickets reserved ?

How many showed up though ?

Lewa isn't as big a name or as good a player as others though so I suppose it's to be expected...

Southern European and American football fans are just more passionate than Northern European ones. They live for football, the players are their Gods. It are complete madhouses, 1000s of fans at the airport, around your car, screaming and chanting. it is both lunacy and goosebump worthy. i’d adore it as a player. This cannot be pulled off in England or Germany. Well maybe it would work in Liverpool, they’re quite passionate for their team but never at the same level as in Italy.

I don't get it.

Why show adulation for someone who has done nothing for your club? They literally haven't had chance to yet due to them just signing. Maybe I'm a misery and yes, I'm pleased if we sign certain players but I tend to take a "Oh that's good, let's see how it works out" kind of approach. Not much of a fan of players getting songs/chants before they've at least played a few good games or shown some fight/spirit/attitude either.

They are generally totally lame and cringeworthy. I would prefer to just see a picture of them in the shirt and then maybe see an interview. I also don't mind if the new player comes out at the end of a match to wave to the fans

It's really embarrassing when a club does a big song and dance about a player that then doesn't perform well
