Had an okay game Guehi, but what on earth is he even trying to do there ? When is it ever a good idea to let a ball fly in the box...

It’s a good 3 points for Arsenal but for all the hype they have been very average, don’t let Sky’s creaming fool you.

Unfortunate for palace. Played well here, Arsenal a bit shit after the first 30 but can't criticize too much about a 2-0 win away to Palace on the first day I guess.

We'll see how the year goes. But this game asks more questions of Arsenal than it answers IMO

Really? I thought Guehi has been the weak link in the Palace team. Has looked a bit scared numerous times throughout the match.

Agreed. With all the hype sorounding them I was expecting a 5-1 demolition that we did on Fulham back in 2006/07 when we finally won our title after a break of 3 years.

I'm pleased with this arsenal performance. After pre season I was concerned they might be getting better.

One game I know, but at best these look like they did last season to me. They'll get taken apart by the better sides as usual

You can't even say Arsenal have defended all that well, Palace just don't have a decent forward

Arsenal deserved to be leading the league more when it was on alphabetical order.

Arsenal tired out after 20 mins. Palace haven't had much of a pre-season yet battered them in the second half.

They've not been great but you'd absolutely take it. It's not an easy fixture away from home when the crowd is up for the first game.

Vieira is a good coach. They have played well, but don't have the players to do much more.

I kind of love that Jordan Ayew has had such a good career despite being a non scoring forward(by modern standards) but Palace could really do with someone who could be a consistent threat along with all the other good stuff Ayew does.

His stats are horrible, no matter the era tbh

Arsenal look about the same as last season when good. A more clinical Palace and this is a lot closer
