Sterling 50m
Koulibaly 35m
Cucurella 62m
Chukwuemeka 15m
Fofana 80m?

They have sold nobody.

SURELY they can’t afford Frenkie?!
Who was that other kid they were linked too? Was it a midfielder from Inter? Am sure I read Chelsea reps were over there to discuss another midfielder haha

Barcelona still can't registered their players with the 4th lever.

The key criteria is in the first two levers which doesn't fulfil La Liga requirements.
We ll take Lewa and FDJ for 100M. Will help them to register other players maybe.

I know we have to fill 2000 pages but can we please start discussing something more interesting? Who cares about Harry and his pear?

Frenkie is ours. We knew that 2 months ago. Nothing has changed.

Now let's discuss the real issue: What will be his squad number? 21? 8?

We just go and buy one don’t we?

And Eriksen clearly makes our midfield stronger, despite how underrated he is on here.
It’s not that he’s underrated it’s just wether he’ll play deeper or in Bruno’s position. He’s not the type of midfielder we needed, we needed a specialist DM

Why would those incompetent fecks sign 5 players before checking on the FFP situation? Or did they just assume LaLiga would bend things to help them out?

The new Chelsea owner is a motivated buyer.

He's competing against Roman Abramovich who was one of the most successful owners in Premier League history.

He's making a good start. Nice for Chelsea fans to know their owner is ambitious and prepared to spend to get success on the pitch as a priority.

Again a whole article and all that's mentioned is this:

Talks have been held over midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who Chelsea believe would join them over Manchester United if he decides to leave Barcelona.
That's it. No source, no nothing. Another passing comment. It's just strange how it's always a very small comment as part of another story rather than some important news.

Just realized the grand design of our transfer summer.

We wanted Lewandowski to replace Cristiano. We wanted Rafinha but Leeds wouldn’t sell to us. And we would not have the budget for all of them in their initial prices.

Therefore, instead of just signing De Jong, we told him to wait, to create wage problems, so that Barcelona fails to register their players. So they will go into panic mode with unregistered transfers and they will need to sell them in reduced prices to whom?

To the team who wants a striker and right winger and has money left. De Jong will be activated as well. All positions sorted.

Laporta will be humiliated in Barcelona’s public streets, their team will fail into years of misery, Sport will start covering Real Madrid.

Hail Murtough and Arnold!

I would also say that, as far as we're told by our own tier one sources, United seem to believe that De Jong will choose to join us and the reports are still saying that.

IF all of the "De Jong prefers Chelsea" noise is based simply on the belief of their owners then I don't know if there's much of a reason to lend it any more credence than the belief on our side that De Jong will still sign for United.

Yeah and Barca did likewise, getting half a football team this summer. So the two clubs already better than us spent a fortune on squad upgrades. And still, Frenkie will decide between those two.

Crazy from a United perspective. We're the only one of the three teams that actually need him.

Just so you're aware, this was a prerogative that was established by the Chelsea Supporters Trust when they were looking for new owners. The money that's being invested into new signings is part of the £1.75b that is supposed to be invested into the football club.

It does seem to me that the noise is coming from Barca and not from Chelsea themselves. I don't know if they've just leaked some info out which everyone is mentioning in passing, or whether Chelsea have put the info out just to play the Billy Big bollocks card, the whole we can flex our muscles stuff.

Or Chelsea could be fecking with Barca as a kind of screw you for messing around with our transfers haha. Wishful thinking by myself there though I know.

Fair play on taking my post, replying to it with no correlation and just slating the club.

An unfair comparison though. Barca have an aging squad. They needed major reinforcements.

Messi left last summer, Pique hasn't been replaced, Alba is aging, Busquets is 34 now too. Suarez hasn't been replaced and Aguero last summer he had to retire due to a heart issue.

Chelsea also needed bolstering, they lost Rudiger on a free transfer, Werner isn't working, Azpi and Alonso are aging, they need to replace Kante, have struggled on the wings since Hazard so they're spending big.

United have Sancho, Rashford, Bruno, Varane, Maguire, Shaw, DDG, the squad is better in that regard but of course there are areas that need to be strengthening. United have added good options this summer and for much less. Martinez, Eriksen and Malacia have all been good buys.

Of course United need 2-3 more signings but the money spent is still nowhere as bad and it leaves room for some top class signings to take the squad to a new level.

There HAS to be some doomers willing to put their neck on the line and agree to voluntarily feck off from this place if he doesn’t sign, surely?!
