Ziyech is quality if we can get him for a small fee and reasonable wages. Even in a seasons time he would be a useful squad player no matter what we do in the transfer window.

Pretty much. Ziyech showed enough class under Ten Hag and with Ajax back then that I'm still willing to give him another chance now if the financial terms are decent.

I haven’t seen much of him for Chelsea but while Tuchel doesn’t seem to rate him, Ziyech’s fbref profile still looks very impressive.

I've been shouting his name on here for a while. Would love to have him although lots of people believe his future lies more centrally. Also, given how few games he's gotten given his outrageous talent and possibly unfairly reading between lines that may not exist, I got the impression he may not be the most professional.
71 games for a 18 year old isn’t bad, there was one game where the chairman listed him and few other players about their attitude on the pitch. But I’ve not come across anything else regarding his attitude and if anything that means he price will be more reasonable. Future ballon D’or winner

Im a little confused, we have Rashford/Martial for the left and Sancho for the right why are we prioritising a new right wing option? We need depth in the middle of the park more than another winger option, no?

While these players have been decent in preseason, the only thing that is reliable is their unreliability. Martial, who will play up top this season rather than on the wings, is already injured and the drop in quality from these guys to the next level of depth is not acceptable.

3 players for 2 positions is enough? Plus 1 of them is supposedly our starting CF. We need at minimum 6 forward players for the front 3. Right now we have 4 and there are issues with all, except maybe Sancho:
Sancho (not great last season)
Rashford (been terrible for 2 years)
Martial (been poor for years and now injured)
Ronaldo (wants to leave, doesn't fit system, is 37 yo)

After that we have Garnacho and Elanga, neither of which have proven to be ready to step in to a top 4 side.

So we need minimum 2 signings and RW and CF are the positions that make the most sense. If it were up to me, I'd sign Ziyech on the cheap, Sesko for whatever will get it done, let Ronaldo buy his contract out if he really wants to go and have Garnacho and Elanga available as needed.

Martial is a striker not a left winger. We have martial and Ronaldo up top. Not ideal, 2nd biggest priority to replace Ronaldo, but anyway. For wings, we have Sancho and Rashford. That's it. Elanga isn't good enough, but you need 3 top wingers to be able to rotate amongst each other, push each other on. There are 5 subs this year, we need to be able to rotate players and keep them fresh, or have options to change a game. As it is, Rashford and Sancho will play every minute of every game because if they don't play, we will be playing a championship level (at best) player out wide, or playing a midfielder out of position.

He's played 49 games but only 14 90 minute equivalents which is good for your run of the mill 18 year old but he should have far more minutes under his belt given his talent. He played 6 games in his age 15 season in Ligue 1.

He's a ridiculous talent and people used to bang on about Greenwood's two footedness (uses dominant foot 77% of the time) but this guy is genuinely two footed (dominant foot used 53% of the time which eclipses famous two footers like Ousmane Dembele (57%) and Santi Cazorla (68%).

Rayan Cherki from Lyon, young both footed, Strong, decent pace. We were close to getting him along with Hannibal, he's had a bad injury last year but played against Inter and scored in their latest pre season game. This guy ticks all the boxes, super technical and physique that could handle PL.
Cherki is a special talent. Would love him here.

He’s a bloody brilliant player though. Dynamic, strong, technically gifted and knows where to get and create goals.

Shame he’s right footed and primarily a LW
Didn't say he was bad. If we were going for him to play centrally, it would make more sense.

He can play centrally but I think it’s not his best position. He’d be a perfect Rashford understudy with the potential to surpass him.

I doubt we are after an RW specifically. The report has always been "ETH wants an attacker". We wanted Antony previously but ever since we moved past that deal there's been no credible news on getting an RW, instead it's Sesko

We need a striker, a RW, 2 CMs, a RB and a goalkeeper before we need a Rashford understudy, especially since we have Sancho and Garnacho. Would be a poor use of our funds this summer, if the plan isn't to use him centrally.

i always really liked Zaniolo as an Italian player. Not sure how he has been post injury.
Being heavily linked with Spurs for a reasonable fee.

Thinking about it, he's exactly what we need. He's talented, young and can play in numerous positions that we need to strengthen, he's deceptively quick for a big guy, can hold the ball up, powerful runner, great with his feet, left footed, good strike, creative.

Only seen some pre season highlights post injury but he looks sharp. We should be all over this.

I just don't understand why we haven't secured one by now. There hasn't even been any links. 1 game into the season and we've seen that we can't rely on Rashford and Sancho. It would be even worse if one of them gets injured. What is this club doing?

What do you mean when you say creative? I personally think he’s all style and no substance. Very pleasing player to look but he doesn’t score and he doesn’t provide assists and he’s incredibly injury prone.

He's a good dribbler (both technically and by using his strength and pace) and always seems dangerous when I see him. Think his goal numbers are decent for a young attacking mid/winger. I agree his assist numbers upon checking seem pretty low, I'd have to watch more of him to form an opinion on whether it's a problem with his end product or circumstantial. Still, he looks to have all the raw ingredients, and I'd be excited if we went for him.

If Spurs got him, then they'd have 5 attackers who I'd be envious of them having. 6 if you include Perisic who is very useful to have. Not sure how many of our forwards they would say the same about tbh. Worrying times.

Just letting us slowly rot away by looks of it
