Did we get any footage of him leaving Carrington? Did the journos not assemble once they saw the security footage?

And they would definitely not talk about the wages, the fees paid to agents, granny, barber etc. Whereas its 150m deal for Casemiro, extremely bad business blah blah.
Exactly. If he had no release clause it would have been an astronomical fee for him and they would have still said it was OK. No matter what we do it will be wrong, so I no longer read the papers, haven't for years and have stopped listening to the likes of Talksport.

I think he will be a big hit with the fans. Love seeing a player run at people and get fans out of their seats.

Really happy with the signing..... Do think we overpaid by quite a large amount though.

Nani was quality for us, if Antony turn out to reach his peak, then we are having a top class player. Better than the rashfords and martials of the past 5 years.
I disagree.

Not sure where all this Nani over rating is coming from recently, he was an incredibly frustrating player at a time when we was still a dominant team. If he was asked to be the main focus of our team over the last 5 years - fans would have lost patience. The stats prove that.

He was a good attacking option, it's debateable he was better than either Rashford or Martial. Luckily, we was never in a position where Nani was asked to be our key player.

i don´t really get this, i get it is quality. but what is needed is composure and leadership, i think the technical ability is in the team, however, the whole team mindset is just lost, and a 100million signage, that can only fail. because of the price.. i get Casemiro MUCH MUCH more than this, even though he will be a problem to offload.

I also get Eriksen, mostly because i am Danish (Sorry) and that i can see his tactical overview works great, as long as the team is fairly in control, and he is used in his actual place (and he is used more than Bruno as a distributer).

to be honest, i think there are fewer and fewer things that needs to be fixed, Bruno needs to be benched, he scored yes, but he missuses so many chances, and him as a captain just seems plain wrong.

Ronaldo needs to leave, and a better attacker needs to be hired in. IF barca really hates Aubemayang, maybe there is a "cheap" 1-2 year quality striker there. better than what the team has right now. then i think it is mentality.
This is where you're wrong buddy. It's really not. It's in Sancho and Martial, sure, but the rest of our attackers and the current aged Ronaldo, nope.

Wasn’t he the top assister in the premier league over a four or five year period at one point? I think saying he was on Rashford’s level isn’t correct. Rashford has played in a far inferior team so it’s hard to compare.

What the hell, Nani was a key player and was definitely better than Rashford and Martial between 2010-2012. He was one of the best wingers on the planet at that point.

Nani had one or two fantastic seasons. Apart from that he was OK. Miles better than any wide player we've had since then (?)

Personally I'd be a little disappointed if Antony only replicated Nani's form.

Someone said he was the new Nani or something, and i replied that i hope not, cause then i'll dislike him.
I was told that i hate Nani and don't like attacking flair players - cause on the Caf it's always extreme in one end or the other. I'd rather have Milner than an attacking flair player too, aparantly.

So happy we pulled off this transfer. Wasn't sure we'd go back after the €80m was rejected. Proper exciting player, can't wait to see him start

Who the feck is saying it's debatable that Nani was any better than Rashford or Martial? That's the stupidest statement I've ever heard.

How was it debatable when he was player of the PL worthy as a right winger in 2011?Rashford nor Martial ever produced that kind of form. He also had to sacrifice his game to accommodate Valencia (who had a great season in 2012 as a RW too) because Valencia only had a right foot. I get the frustrations, but that doesn't override what was a great 3 season period that could have been more if he didn't have to accommodate Valencia.

United fans at that point likely had a higher standard than what we're currently. Even outside of those 3 seasons, as inconsistent as he was, he is likely producing more than any of our right wingers since he has left.

@altodevil

@In Rainbows

Nani
Goal contribution per game = 2.01 or per 137.8mins (based on the 15,710mins played for us)

Rashford
Goal contribution per game = 2.01 or per 132.1mins (based on the 20,082mins played for us)

Martial
Goal contribution per game = 2.07 or per 136.2mins (based on the 17,708mind played for us)

As I said...debateable.

He was a good player. He had a few outstanding seasons. He never once had to shoulder the attacking responsiblity of the team.

I was waiting for someone to call thar post out. Outrageous
Call me out yourself mate. The stats are available to debate.
