He probably won't be available for the Leicester game, expect him to get 10-20 minutes vs Arsenal before starting vs Sociedad in EL.

already saved some tendies to get him on my fantasy team.

Good luck, hopefully he provides that bit of magic from the RW we were missing for so long.

We've obviously paid a huge premium but we need players who understand Ten Hag's football and can hit the ground running. Hopefully he proves to be one of those. The club have also shown that they are prepared to back the new manager, which was looking somewhat doubtful earlier in the window. The importance of that scarcely needs to be stated.

Nani
Goal contribution per game = 2.01 or per 137.8mins (based on the 15,710mins played for us)

Rashford
Goal contribution per game = 2.01 or per 132.1mins (based on the 20,082mins played for us)

Martial
Goal contribution per game = 2.07 or per 136.2mins (based on the 17,708mind played for us)

As I said...debateable.

He was a good player. He had a few outstanding seasons. He never once had to shoulder the attacking responsiblity of the team.

Call me out yourself mate. The stats are available to debate.
Using just goals and assists over an entire period isn't conclusive evidence, Nani played in a different formation and was never used as a striker like Martial and Rashford. Martial and Rashford have always played in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, whereas Nani was mainly used in a slightly deeper role in a 4-4-2. Having that second striker in there affects the player goal and assist % distribution across the team, in a 4-3-3 the goal/assist % is more concentrated across the front 3 positions, whereas it is more spread across 4 positions in a 4-4-2. As an example of this If you look at Rashford's numbers you can see his stats drop after Bruno takes up that support striker role (pre surgery and MBE), causing the formation to become more of a 4-2-5-1 than 4-3-3, this is because there are 4 forwards instead of 3. Having said all that, Nani was close to world class in 2011 with only Messi, Ronaldo, Robben and Ribery being superior at the time, Rashford and Martial have never touched those heights. Nani wins the eye test comfortably.

Is that not an insane transfer fee for a 22 year old footballer that scored just 8 league goals last year in the Eredivisie (of all leagues) and 12 goals across all 3 competitions (Eredivisie, KNVB Cup and CL)?

https://www.transfermarkt.com/antony/leistungsdaten/spieler/602105/plus/0?saison=2021

The Glazers might be bad owners (I don't dispute that) but they cannot be blamed for not spending money in this transfer window at least.

Am I wrong or is the net spend approaching €250 million so far this summer?

Anyway congratulations. It will be interesting to see how Man Utd will perform under ten Hag this season.
