One assist and two goals. What a game he had. 99% times useless and showed his worth when it mattered the most. Hope this gives him his confidence back.

feck you haters who hurled abuse at him and thought he was done. Always believed

Glad he's back in form. He's not a striker, but he's doing a job for us there since nobody else can and was excellent today IMO. Especially once he's able to go wide and play off a central striker.

He remains a "moments" player, wherever he plays and no matter what this means for our game overall, but in the last two games he's been picking his moments far more cleverly and he finishes them beautifully. It's so nice to see him play with a clear head and, most importantly, smile and enjoy his football again. The fatherly pat on the back of his head from ETH, when he was brought off, was also a very nice moment. Onwards and upwards!

Deadly when he has space to run into.

But seems to be getting better at playing with his back to goal, long May that continue!

I remember when pre-injury era, he was always at his best in the big games. Looking like that form is coming back…

Not a striker his goal came when Ronaldo was the striker Rashford played more as a winger not needing to have his back against the goal and he had space to run in behind he’s a winger not a striker. Great game still he deserves credit today.

His role was a striker, whether at center or on the left. He wasn't tracking back to Malacia's area, as his role is to stay high on the pitch to run into final third. He's like Henry or Villa at Barca. The likes of Sancho is a winger.

But that's just my take. You're probably right. He's more of LF.

He mostly didn't take part in the press, Bruno ran past him and did it himself. Maybe that is part of instructions.

He didn't compete for some balls which is a bit scandalous.

Nothing stuck to him and he couldn't hold it up.

His running in behind was just like its always been, excellent. And he put his chances away.

Mixed bag. He's playing out of position.

That's a crazy stat. Fecking good for him.

He was crucial today when we needed him. If you paused the game after 30 minutes and said that he would get 2 goals and an assist, I wouldn't have believed you. But, he came through and did well when the chances came his way. Well done.
It’s the sparkling stat for sure, but I am sure the number of sprints he makes every game is unbelievable. Everyone playing any sports knows how demanding it is.

Love to see a little bit of confidence coming back into his game, he has been in the depths over the last 2 years, a shadow of himself.

With Martial back the front 3 should be Rash-Martial-Antony.

Much better. Confidence player.
To have lost confidence for 2 years is worrying somewhat, but hopefully ETH understands how to manage him.

If this was Sancho then people would lose their minds - Sancho does one thing a match and people pretend like he has a good game.

People just don’t want to treat Rashford as this new shiny toy Sancho is.

Fantastic from him. As long as we have all players firing on all fronts that is great for us. If him, Anthony and Sancho are playing well then we are in for a great season.

I still have a lot of doubts, but he took the chances which mattered today. Very happy that he shut me up

Overall I still don't think he played well, especially as a 9 but he was excellent with what he's good at.
ETH's system needs a striker like Jesus. Can hold the ball, can dribble, cause defenders troubles. Hope Rashford can learn from it

He’s still not right in the general play but one v one and running between defenders he’s finally back to somewhere close to his best.

Far better performances this season than last and hopefully he continues to improve. Still areas for improvement and at times still looks a bit lazy, but 2 goals and an assist, good on him.

Tony must be watching and think he needs to do the same as in those old, good days. The team is back!

Scored or assisted five of our last six goals. People still whining endlessly.
And the one he didn’t, he made a very good run to take the defence away from Bruno. Started the season still looking a bit short on confidence but was doing the right things and is now getting the rewards. Really pleased for him.

That said, we cannot reward this so far short run of form with a new contract yet. Any contract discussions end of season only please.

He can't play with his back to goal, it's a shame we have to use him that way. But he made the right decisions at the right time which is all we can ask from him.

Rashford 5 attacking returns now. Our most effective player of the season. Hahahaha.

People moaning about a player who score 2 and assisted the other. Some people just can’t live in the moment and enjoy a crucial win. Hopefully they recover from their vendetta against Marcus and he has a great season.

He's a winger and a good one at that when he's on song.
He's almost never on song. Two goals today which is great. His pace is very useful again the top teams like today and against Liverpool, outside of that, he's absolutely useless. He should play these big games and be benched for the bottom 15 teams who sit deep and defend.

The last 3 seasons from Ole and Ralf with Rashford have been 3 of the absolute worst seasons I've ever seen in terms of managing a player. It was criminal. Ole borderline abusing him with his much he was forced to play through injuries, his body took a battering. First a spine fracture, then playing through his shoulder injury for half a year and needing surgery at the start of last season, and then the way Ralf handled him was a joke. Destroyed his fitness, destroyed his confidence. Went from back to back 20 goal seasons to being whatever last year was. Always believed he'd get his form back under a proper manager.
