I suspect its more of a sponsorship thing. Companies will have paid a lot of money to have the advertising boards visible. The constant reminders that this was a Uefa decision will perhaps have been suggested so they don't kick up a stink with United/Old Trafford. It is quite ridiculous. That woman coming on the screen in an all black outfit and saying UEFA made the game go ahead. If people are too sad to watch or cant watch because their eyes are too teary than they wont watch. The people who are watching want to watch so i dont know to whom BT is apologizing. The peope watching obviously dont care...
So I have been harsh on Fred who needs games to get his touch but Ronaldo has had his day?Fred needs a few games to get his touch. I know he’s been scrappy, but God, you lot are harsh.
Ronaldo looks poor though. I think he has just had his day.
Elanga is fast but not very talented.
I hope ETH brings a couple of youngsters on.
Are you watching the match?Oh, so you think people shouldn't expect more from an elite DM who won the CL 5 times with Real Madrid, a 100M winger, a 30M/year striker etc.? The best player on the pitch is a guy you had for free after a heart attack (no pun intended towards Eriksen, I love the guy). Some expectations here are very low.
fred has been fine just lacking quality. he will go deeper now and play betterEriksen off- good
Fred still on - baffling
I generally expected more intensity from players who either have something to prove or wear the shirt for the first couple of times. The "they don't know the system" argument has limits. For exemple, Casemiro and Anthony both had full pre-seasons with their former clubs, they're supposed to be ready to play, they might be a bit confused when it comes to finding their teamates on the pitch but you're supposed to expect far more than that unless the club doesn't care about Europa league. It obviously doesn't mean they're going to eternally be average but tonight, it's just not enough. What’s your point? Were you expecting the best version of him in his first start in months in a second string team?
Looking at the players coming off I think its to do with rotation rather than performance.Good he made subs early. At least he acknowledged we were shite.
So funnily relatableErik forgot his phone
You are forgetting a major point that Manchester United is an English club, in the English league, which is part of Britain. If some posters hate Britain so much then why support United? No one needs to show respect. You were in the forces others have different experience with the British, the British Army and the British empire. It's not rocket science.
It will be a torrent of performative "look at me grieve better than you" for the next few weeks as millions of people, businesses, and representatives all brainstorm on the most genuine, sincere and content worthy displays, making sure that it is all caught for a tik-tok.It is quite ridiculous. Its really weird though, the lack of advertising and whatnot. I am not a fan of the continuous foisting upon us of commercial products, but this morbid Muzak and monochrome screen stuff is bizarre. Has everyone else died?
