Aren't the comments from "sources"? Besides blaming De Gea for Maguire and Shaw's performance was a regular occurence on caf last year. Although not from a majority posters.
Whether people are rightly or wrongly blaming De gea, they’re allowed to do so as fans.

Maguire telling his mum or whoever he’s getting to talk to the media for him to criticise his teammate is poor form to say the least.

The guy pretty much embodies everything Man United have done wrong on the pitch since fergie. Yet he’s found himself as captain here and prefers to stick his fingers in his ears at any criticism.

What a loser Maguire is. Truly a joke of a player. Just when I thought I couldn’t dislike him more. Can’t wait for him to take his freezer head and drag it out of Old Trafford. With how slow he is he should start walking now to reach the exit by the time we properly get rid of him.

Can't wait for him to get out, after this summer clear out he is probably the one I want gone most now. Worst captain we've had that I remember as others here have also written. Terrible attitude and just plain stupid to leak this now

Well at least it gives Ten Hag a convenient excuse to rip the armband of this absolute plank. Surely no United fan will defend Maguire anymore.

On top of everything else he's just a moron. I don't know what United fan would ever buy that as an excuse. He needs to just keep his head down and show some form on the pitch instead.

I don't disagree with anything he's leaked, but I don't see any benefit now to doing so, in fact the opposite. He lacks pace, we all know that. Playing him as we often did with Lindelof and a keeper afraid to come of his line, with no actual defensive mid was a recipe for disaster. We've moved on, morale in squad is improving, all this does is cause issues. Bad enough when starters says crap like this but when subs as he now is, do it, it's disgusting.
I disagree with all of what he has leaked.

He is a passenger regardless of who he plays alongside. He can only play deep defensive lines or counter attack.

De Gea saved his arse alot last season. In fact, Maguire was to blame for most defensive mistakes.

It's very different to have a captain slating his team mate to having a redcafe poster criticising a player.

We won't even get 25 million for him. End of days for him, finally. Captain my ass. Mr. Relegation.
I'm not too sure which club would have any interest in him as I don't see him getting much game time this season. Only big six clubs are in a position to take on his wages & no... Leicester don't want him back.

Maguire's issue isn't even his lack of pace.

He gets too tight, he makes too many fouls and throws the defence into disarray by being a nervous nelly.

You have to laugh that he put out that 'every manager has played me so I can't be too bad' quote, and now he's not he's in shock.

It's a shame it didn't work out as in his first season I had a lot of faith in him, but rushing back from injuries in time for the Euros/Europa league final was a huge mistake.

We essentially have the same backline as last season except Maguire was replaced by Martinez and look how much better we've been since we made that change. I know that Malacia is new as well but he was also a cheap punt.

No offense and as lovely as that story may be, I doubt he'd go there to fight relegation. Everton, West Ham, Newcastle are all possible destinations for him.

Jesus...I hope Harry doesn't think like this and is capable of introspection.
You are talking about a man who stated that he wasn't bad because the manager was starting him and if I'm not mistaken he once said that it wasn't his fault if others weren't doing their job or something to that effect. Even if the source of Ogden doesn't exist, the quotes fit the character.

I remember being livid after that post match interview.
Blaming your teammate for your poor form is snake behaviour

Just a good one most matches would do, which he pretty much was in his first season here bar one or two miserable games (one against Giroud springs to mind). Form dipped a fair bit in the second season and we all know what happened last year.

Price tag and captaincy (neither his fault btw) was just ridiculous though. Also seems a bit of a prat at times-retweeting that game against Norwich where he played a few diagonal passes under no pressure as proof of his ability.

De Gea makes our defence look worse. It doesn't matter who plays in front of him. Every defender will look worse when you have a keeper that does little to no proactive keeping. He doesn't sweep or catch crosses. Even though Maguire shouldn't make comments on his teammates like this, he is right about De Gea. That being said, De Gea isn't the only reason why they were bad. The individual errors they were making were clear for all to see.
I see what you're trying to do so I'll say this, If De Gea makes every defense look worst then Maguire makes every defense shit their pants.

I noticed something in the Sheriff match, De Gea was comfortable passing it into Varane especially into Martinez but the moment Maguire came on it was hoof ball into row Z, that's sort of atmosphere(Panic and Chaos) Maguire brings.

Yes Dave isn't at the level he used to be but even he hasn't but up the sort of moronic shit show Maguire puts out on a regular basis.

I still think Harry could come good but I don't think he functions in a United squad anymore after seeing Martinez.

Three players on a free I think are good for the squad.

Jan Oblak (GK) to replace DDG and get DDG wages off the books.
Skriniar (CB) to replace Maguire recoup some of the fee.
Tielemans (CM) to give Eriksen rotation options, with Eriksen capable of playing CAM too.

United should be strongly considering those for raising the level of the squad.

Ole done us up like a kipper with 130 mill on 2 defenders who are shit in different ways. Take the armband off Maguire and tell him he will rot on the bench. Bring him on for the last 2 minutes every game and get shut of WB and Maguire in the summer.

It seems like a pattern with our players. Want to get out of the Club? Just let those "close to source" incredibly daft tweets/media out. Fans would lap it up and force the Club to sell these players on cheap.

As much as I don't rare Maguire I agree on De Gea, he must be a nightmare to defend in front of.

It must also be added, the defence looked happier in front of Henderson. It was a shame he just didn't live up to the hype.

He should at least be stripped of his armband for his media-friendly leaky inner circle. This is cowardly and disgraceful from a United captain. A leader takes responsibility for his actions, for his team, not blame everyone around him for his own poor performance.

Came in wanting to post the first and last sentence if proven to have come from him.

Former England Manager Seven- Goran Eriksson said Maguire and Shaw shouldn't be in the England team.
