My thoughts as well. Not gonna happen under Santos (or while Ronaldo is around).

Which is a shame as they have a brilliant team.
Although I agree a bit this game has nothing to do with any attacking player in Portugal.

Impossível for anyone up top to perform playing hoofball.

Felix would have been eaten Alive being all alone up top every time a long ball got booted too him

Yeah. It's funny how England, Portugal and France all have fantastic squads but are hamstrung with horribly negative managers.

Halland had two excellent chances but Serbian keeper saved both. Mitrovic had two decent chances and scored from one.

Tbf I agree with you. You put Felix upfront and Santos would still park the bus, so that wouldn't solve anything.

Ronaldo is done.
Hopefully he can move on in winter.

Oh yeah for sure. Santos needs to go and be replaced by a manager who will make use of the fantastic players you have. He was good in 2016 when the squad was mediocre, but now ... It's the same with Southgate and Deschamps. All mediocre, negative managers in charge of squads who should be dominant.

If Santos would have played eye to eye vs Spain I reckon we win 2-0 comfortably.

Spain have no threats going forward. They pass pass pass and do nothing with it.

Sadly we have a coach who treats Portugal like they are second fiddle to every team in the world when in fact we have one of the most talented squads in the world.

Our football was as ugly as our kits. I really dispise our FA and our manager. It was really a miracle we won the Euros with Santos. No other explanation

That Euro win and nations league has made him untouchable.

Why is Joao Mario anywhere near this team? Why does Jota start ahead of Leao? Where is Felix ?

Stojkovic seems to have created a better squad atmosphere in this Serbian team than they often had. He's got everyone working hard, instead of a third of starting 11 often looking like they'd rather be back with their clubs.

It's funny how much better Portugal would be if they just stuck Joao Felix up front instead of Ronaldo. So many attacks break down with him
Another listless performance. But you'll have his fanboys foaming at the mouth for your statement, so easy there.

Always a pleasure to defeat little brother. Even more so with an impotent and frustrated C. Ronaldo as a rival.

Maybe this result will prevent the absurd local Spanish media frenzy against Lucho for a while until at least the World Cup begins.

Gavi and Pedri changed the game. Nico Williams is a really interesting player too. Already better than his elder brother IMO. If he starts scoring regularly he will become quite some player.

Spain and Italy both qualified for the UEFA Nations League Finals. Good to see regardless of this tournament being a lowly ranked one. In particular Italy needed yesterday's win after another absurd and missed WC qualification after the EURO 2020 win.

Very true, like they are all competing who will be more negative. No wonder they all made Mancini look like prime Ancelotti at Euro.

No point asking rational questions. Everyone sees that except Santos and our inept FA

Those two play beyond their years. Composed and mentally strong along with the talent they have. They really are the future of the Spanish national team.

I don’t see how this has anything to do with him. In fact he almost equalized at the end.
He made a tame shot, easily saved.
His miss in early second half cost you.
He got played in and easily got dispossessed at 80th min or so…

Overall 3/10 performance, like the last 10 games he played for club and country.

I feel he’ll cost Portugal in Quatar too.

Such a shame Joao Felix is stuck with defensive managers like Simeone and Santos. I'd love to see him in some attacking team, he'd be a joy to watch.

To be honest, apart from the victory itself, the most important thing was that no Barça players picked up any injuries tonight from what we know so far after the past few days insufferable injury pandemic. Raphinha had a great game for Brazil too. Just saw his two goals and assist. MoM apparently as well.

Anyway Portugal should really appoint a new manager. Santos is a dinosaur and Portugal has played some really horrendous football under him considering the many talented (especially attacking) players that they have. Reminds me of the last time of del Bosque as the Spain manager.

Ronaldo had 3 clear chances (and a few half chances) squandered. Younger Ronaldo has at least two goals tonight. Just not good enough any more and he refuses to admit it.

What about your boy Ronaldo? Ever gonna be critical of his abysmal performances?

His fans still (for some reason) call him the best in the world, so even though he is isolated up front surely he should be able to create some magic on his own?

Who would Portugal fans like to see appointed as manager just out of interest @Sly @SportingCP96

Ronaldo is playing really badly. No point arguing against that. I'm ver grateful for everything that he gave us but atm he is being detrimental to the team. That combined with Santos ineptitude will cost us a good campaign in the world cup. So much talent and an incredibly boring and impotent display. Btw Bernardo also playing like crap but I suspect that it has to do with Santos setup.

Lindelof with an assist for Sweden.
Relegated to group C. Janne Andersson needs to quit by himself since he apparently can't be fired.

I miss the cnuts, donkeys and psychos of our earlier teams who played for no-name clubs but always were up for it in the national team.

Almost as embarassing as the result of the elections,.

Ok, no not really.
