Gonna be hard for haaland to match Ronaldo… he’s gonna have to hit about 37 goals a season for the next 15 seasons to catch up.
Yeah and he won't get City level service at other clubs which will affect his scoring rate

And the fact he can get injured quite a lot. Ronaldos been really lucky, he’s kept himself in top shape for years and rarely gets injured.

The Ronaldo being portrayed in the media is not the same one you see on the pitch. In fact, he looks more involved as a team player this season than he did last season. And as for his influence in the dressing room, the whole team looked delighted when he got his goal v Everton.

I'll base my views on what I can see, not what some clown sports journalists with a history of nonsense claim.

Ronaldo looks happy. Press seem to be making things up on the spot. They'll move on to Liverpool when things get worse there and focus on Klopp/Salah/TAA/VVD.

Liverpool are currently media darlings who can do no wrong so it’ll continue with attempting to sabotage us with constant stories, good thing is once Ronaldo goes in the summer we don’t have any superstar players that would be able to generate negative or distracting media headlines.

Let’s hope some of these posters who’ve been abusing him can move on to RAWK also . Some fairly pathetic comments in the last few pages

This probably should go to the player performance thread, but I'll post this here anyway. It's so awkward to see Ronaldo come deep and try to interchange passes, you can just see the nervousness in the players when he does that, his passing also seems very impulsive and unplanned, like everyone is just waiting to see what he's going to do, and he keeps playing passes to players who are not in the best position to receive the ball, that's because he want's to not lose the ball and get rid of it so that he can make a run towards goal.
Don't think he should come deep at all, even on counters when he's deep, the rest of the players are reluctant to make runs because they don't know what Ronaldo is going to do.
So they just slow down and wait for his next move.

You probably were not reading the media (dont't blame you) when Ole was the manager. With or without Ronaldo, we always have media writing negative articles about us, simply because of our huge fanbase and the general negative sentiment of those fans who are online. It only takes one loss for them to write a crisis story about us.

I would say that Liverpool being media darlings is partially true. Its more of they dont have a fanbase the size of us, thus not much clicks generated.

Maybe its something to do with ETH training? Ronaldo is probably coming deep to keep the line between attack and midfield compact.

Whose paying a transfer fee on top of his massive wages? Or is ETH going to do an Arteta and give him the PEA treatment.

I know he scored a goal, but there was a moment in the Everton match where a pas was under hit and he wailed his arms up frustration and made no effort to get back, United win the ball back high up the pitch but Ronaldo received the pass form an offside position. Eventually lead to a Bruno goal being chalked off

He has a shocking attitude on the pitch. For all his professional and discipline off it. On the pitch he is toxic

Spot on. I find it so infuriating when he comes to receive a pass to just then ping it back to the player who just passed to him. And when it is with Rashford, this can almost become a loop where they just make 2 metre passes 5-6 times.

I think other players should not pass to Ronaldo when coming deep to receive, unless he can turn with the ball. He is very uncomfortable playing with his back in deeper positions. And it shows.

If that is the case then it's odd because I haven't seen anyone make many runs beyond Ronaldo when he comes deep, they seem reluctant, and why would they make a run beyond him, not like he picks those passes, on the contrary what that does is makes the opposition step out and stop our counters because they don't have to back peddle.

You don't get a transfer fee for a 38 year old player with 6 month left in his contract. CR7 is still a quality player.

Do you think the players or ten Hag get distracted by media headlines on Ronaldo?

It’s possible but I really hope he doesn’t do it purely because he isn’t as good a footballer as peak Ronaldo. Not even close.

Ronaldo is impressive because he didn’t start as a out and out goal scorer, he bloomed fairly late and evolved his game from the tricky winger to pure goal scorer. Incredible player in his peak.

And don’t get me wrong, haaland is unreal still.

Ronaldo seems very involved and happy in all training sessions videos and pictures I’ve seen. I don’t know why people clutch to every word of every random report to be furious with United players. It was the same with Pogba. Just downloading unnecessary headaches. We’re winning, the manager is selecting the team he seemingly wants. Players seems in decent spirits. All good for me.

Yep.
You wonder how poor TAA, Salah and Van D have to be, and how low down the table Liverpool have to be for the media to start questioning them.

Nah, i celebrated like crazy of course. United is at first place of course. (shame that diva doesn't thing like that :D ).
What are you talking about? Ronaldo has shown total commitment when he realised he was staying, he didn’t kick up a fuss. He’s been cheering on the team from the bench as you’ll see with some of the goals we’ve scored with him on the bench. He’s supporting his team mates and doing his best when he gets on the pitch.

Oh no, Ronaldo cheered when we scored. Well if you want to go that way; he was angry as feck when we beat Omonia. While other players celebrated, he was sulking because he didn't scored a goal.
But it is completely irrelevant. He treated our club as dirt. Twice. And he is not good enough anymore for playing at highest level.
So that is why i want him gone soon as possible. Because it is the best for the club.

Name a striker that doesn’t get angry when they don’t score? It’s in a strikers nature to be mad because they didn’t score when they knew they could of. It’s like when defenders don’t keep a clean sheet I bet they also get mad. How did he treat our club as dirt? Have you mistaken him with pogba? How isn’t he good enough to play at the highest level? He was our top goalscorer last season. He’s probably going to leave anyway either in January or the end of the season, but while he’s here why don’t we just support him.

Ffs, he wanted to leave. Twice! That is how. First time he said that he is a slave. Then came back at the end of his career and after one year refused to train, demanded a transfer and gave a shit start to our new manager.
And yes, he is finished at top level. Bloody hell, have you watched him this year?

The entire public relations and media unit of Manchester United would be sacked if those videos and pictures showed otherwise. It’s PR.

Nobody really cares if you are "furious" anymore Cristiano. Go and be furious in Saudia Arabia, or even better try and going back to Real.
To be honest that's kind of a wierd comment. Its like saying we all know you dont have it anymore and we didnt want you to be embarassed. granted we were gonna lose anyway so it didnt really matter

Sling his hook and get a cover player in.

Reckon Zaha is available for an AWB swap, out of contract and 29, can play across front three and there’ll be a nice redemption story if he comes back and does well.
