Fulham Football Club (also known as The Cottagers or The Whites), is a professional association football club based in Fulham, West London, England. Fulham were formed in 1879 as Fulham St Andrew's Church Sunday School F.C., founded by worshipers (mostly adept at cricket) at the Church of England on Star Road, West Kensington (St Andrew's, Fulham Fields). Fulham's mother church still stands today with a plaque commemorating the team's foundation. They won the West London Amateur Cup in 1887 and, having shortened the name from Fulham Excelsior to its present form in 1888, they then won the West London League in 1893 at the first attempt.

Fulham started playing at their current ground at Craven Cottage in 1896, their first game against now defunct rivals Minerva. Fulham are one of the oldest established clubs in southern England currently playing professional football, though there are many non-league sides like Kent side Cray Wanderers who are several decades older. The club gained professional status on 12 December 1898, the same year that they were admitted into the Southern League's Second Division. They were the second club from London to turn professional, following Arsenal, then named Royal Arsenal 1891.

After suffering relegation to The Championship in 2013, Fulham have been on a road to recovery and were promoted to the Premier League on 26 May 2018, by winning 1–0 in the 2018 EFL Championship play-off Final against Aston Villa. Fulham fans consider their main rivals to be Chelsea, followed by Queens Park Rangers. They also have rivalries with other London clubs, including Brentford and Crystal Palace.

I'd go for Antony, Sancho and then Elanga at RW, in that order.

Don't think we should shunt Rashford or Garnacho out on the right, so bench for Martial. Thought Martial was a little rusty tonight, so fine with him on the bench and back starting after the WC.

    Antony isn't fit right?

Rashford and Garnacho are better than the other options, someone has to play on the right
It's criminal to play Rashford after this performance on the right. His form needs to continue unhindered. Does Garnacho have experience of playing on the right? I don't remember a single game there, but I haven't seen too much of the u23s.

Sancho not back from his illness?
Let's just not play on the right.

feck it just stick McSauce at RB. He'd do a better job than AWB or Lindelof.

Just eek out a win whatever way we can and that'll do nicely for the first half of the season.

Great time to play Fulham given how leaky their defence is, two yellow card suspensions and Mitro doubt.

Hopefully Ronaldo is saving himself for World cup.

ETH has sweet worries up front for this one. To start Martial up front and then on the left. Or maybe on the right if Antony is out with Garnacho on the left. Also Malacia probably at RB instead of Dalot.

Get a win here, and it hasn't been all bad for this first part of the season. Some clear highs and lows, of course, but we would be going on 'break' with a good position to fight for a top four spot after the World Cup.

Fulham can definitely be a danger, but we simply have to win. With Martial and Eriksen back, Rashford looking strong and Garnacho proving useful, we should have enough going forward to score a few.

I know it's a cliche but if we are going to even pretend to have a chance of top four, this is a must win. A proper performance and we will. Not turning up as we did at Villa Park and there's no chance. I'm afraid it might well be the latter. Martial, as much as I don't rate him as a natural goal scorer must start and so should Garnacho. Rashford should play coming in from the left, not right...

I would have liked to have seen Mitrovic up against Varane/Martinez to see how good he really is. If he bullies Martinez, we should seriously be considering him if we can't get a top young forward

I'd rather Malacia came in than Lindelof playing there. That one game where we did it, our right side of attack was genuinely toothless
If Antony is still out, our right side will be neutered anyway, so not sure it matters that much. But I agree that Malacia should start there

I do wonder how certain players will play when we're so close to the World Cup. Any small injury could take them out of the majority of WC games at this point, so I wouldn't be surprised if some played it a bit safe.

It’s almost a certainty that this will happen. Psychologically players would remain less committed risking it even if they don’t consciously realise it.

I think this game will end in a bore draw.

Expecting something like this with maybe Bruno drifting out right again. I'd hope that we put Martial and Garnacho in, but I'm interested to see if EtH does think it was a mistake to go with Eriksen in a midfield 2 away from home or if he will persist.

It's really awkward as I want us to be playing Martial & Rashford, Garnacho deserves game time and EtH is probably going to pick Ronaldo anyway.

We are so, so depleted. And whoever is left has their eyes on the World Cup and will be very careful not to get injured, so we can't expect much. That right side is just dreadful. Who do you even put there now?

Also, no Ronaldo and no Van de Beek, please.

    I'm not optimistic about this.

I’d be interested as a whole to see how many of the World Cup players who do play in all games this weekend approach this weekend. I can imagine some weariness in intensity and in some ways you can’t blame them.

I imagine the likes of Mitrovic and Antony who are injured probably aren’t going to chance it.
