He looks good, but how many 16 yo wonderkids look good at that age and then fail to impress later on in their careers?

If Vinicius and Rodrygo were the norm, every club would sign 16 yo players all the time and we all know that's not the case.
Agreed. Has happen so many times. Overhyped in brasil come to europe and are nowhere near the levels you think they would be. So many of them that some have been completely forgotten.

Tbf, the bar for brasilian players is so very high. If your a attacking fullback then its Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Dani Alves comparision level of hype. If your a forward then its ronaldinho, ronaldo, neymar comparision levels. These are some of the greatest brasilian players but also all time greats.

Has endrick been called a 'generational talent'? Hate that phase from america sports.

The best recent comparision for endrick would be odengaard as a 16 year old. Dad, agent and son did a tour around europe while teams fell over themselves for this 'once in a generation' talent. Stupidly picked Madrid as the club to go to. Ok, hes doing well at arsenal and time will tell if he can become a debryune level talent. But hype sometimes is just that.

All 3 of those are bad options for a young player.

Chelsea are a little better than used to be (don't @me with an essay Chelsea fans, I don't care)

PSG is just no

Real are building a new team but they're not exactly renowned for blooding in youngsters.

To be fair to Real, their record recently has been pretty good, especially for young Brazilian attackers

I don't think this is true. Few talents have had the hype that Endrick has had. People cite the likes of Kerlon etc but nobody was talking about them in the same vein in which they are now speaking about Endrick. He's the best prospect to come out of Brazil since Vinicius Junior who was also really highly thought of and now look at him.

Odegaard was also a terrible example to back up your point. He was identified at a ridiculously young age and moved to the biggest club in the world way too early but he's been performing at a very high standard since he was 19. He's now 23, playing for the team in first position and is one of their star players.

Some of the goals he has scored at that age are ridiculous. Liek many can only judge him from the youtube clips, his ability is obvious from those videos, whether he is ready for such a big move though is another thing.

People forget Viniscus took a good couple of seasons to start doing well and he was older

Surprised Newcastle haven't been linked with this guy. Would be a statement signing and they are the only club that have the financial power to win a bidding war with the PSGs of the world.

ESPN in Brazil are saying the player's current preference would be Chelsea and he reportedly wants to play in the EPL.

No idea how reliable the journo is though. So far I haven't really seen any reason to get excited about this guy because I think he'll end up at Real Madrid anyway but I'd be very happy if we could pull this off.

Can’t see why he’d pick a move to Chelsea tbh
You never know. I don’t think so either but on the off chance that he could be convinced, it doesn’t hurt to throw your hat in the ring.

I think he’s destined for Spain.

La Liga and Spain the much easier transition both on and off the pitch.

If he wants to come to England before going to Spain then the only clubs that would be able to spend 60m on an 18 year old, and actually make sense from a squad point of view, is Chelsea and United. Both need/are going to need a striker in the near future. Newcastle, Arsenal, Spurs, City all look set in that position for atleast the short term.

Kid plays like he's 24 honestly, what a talent.

Shame United would never go for him, enjoy Madrid or wherever you go.

He would have less competition at Chelsea. Madrid probably will go for Haaland/Mbappe, while PSG just bought Ekitike. I don't see Endrick move to Barca with Lewandowski still at there.

60m for an unproven kid really is risky.

For every Vinicius there is a Gabriel Barbosa. It's fair to say we need to spend that money on somebody who can make an immediate impact.

Think young talents are a big thing for clubs now. Or you get stuck in a situation like Mbappe is in where you have to run contracts down.

If there's undeniable talent like Haaland or Bellingham you have to buy the player IMO, even when Odegaard came on the market and Madrid bought him he was worth the punt.

Endrick has clear talent he plays like he's 23 or 24, and when he strikes the ball its so clean I think he's worth every penny at 50 million, the question is do you want to give him development time.

I would not be against United paying the buy out personally, but the issue is 1) united won't and 2) a kid at 16 will have burn out periods where he needs time in and out of the team.

There is no way a 16-year-old Brazilian kid isn't dreaming of Barcelona or Real Madrid.
