Is C.Ronaldo proving to be the greatest heel the sport has ever seen?

He reminds of me Homelander. An ego is one thing, but his vanity has gone of the charts.

Yet despite all this. Still very likable off the pitch

Nah he seems like a decent lad. He has a massive ego but I have a bit of an ego when I have a great day at work and what I do isn't 1 millionth of him.

He is just in the unfortunate position of not being good enough to be worth his ego anymore. Maybe he's a little slow on the uptake with that.

The first game of the season he needs to come out to the triple h theme music, with a bottle of evian in one hand and a sledgehammer in the other, and dressed in double denim.

The British press have really done a number on Ronaldo.

Meanwhile Rashy is still celebrated for God knows what.

Okay I will bite what the feck has Rashford done to be compared to Ronaldos "im a slave let me go" nonsense?
i mean he did feed the kids, and kids are annoying/loud bastards who make everything sticky so that's pretty bad

Why the hell does Ronaldo deserve any sympathy considering what he's done very publicly this pre-season? The British press has done nothing, it's him and his agent that have done this to themselves. I am getting sick of this attitude about the "british press hating foreign players" when it's really just the person projecting their own dislike of British players or the country onto the press.

Djokovic is a beast, probably the number 1 ever and he is more humble, down to earth than our Ronaldo diva.

Had this post in mind since Homelander made sure the heel crown became undisputed.

There can surely be no doubt now!

I love that he chose Piers fecking Morgan for the interview. From that alone, everyone knew it was going to be an absolute gutter interview.

@Fortitude for all my love and admiration of the player, that title belonged to Bernd Schuster. Great player whom, as club captain, walked out of the stadium after being subbed off in a European final and listened to the penalty shootout in a cab on his way to the airport.

Cristiano has blown him out of the water. I've known him to be a cnut for 15 years and didn't want him back because this was a very likely outcome. The guy says he has no respect for the manager saying he is two-faced... and yet has been sitting on this interview for months.

Imagine you've been training for months with someone waiting for the right time to air this. How does he play and do his best? How do you sit there and watch your team do well against Spurs? "But, but, my super duper exclusive interview. Noooooo!"...

He checked out ages ago and ever since then he has actually actively wanted us not to do well because it cocks up his narrative.

He can feck right off. I'll keep the good football memories, much like I keep Schuster's, but I'm done with the freak show. Didn't want him back for the best of all, wanted him gone this last Summer for the best of all, now I just want him sacked.

Not that I'm surprised, for fifteen years I've made a point of calling him Cristiano, and reserving Ronaldo for the real thing.

I just think he wants to protect his narrative for the world cup in case Portugal makes it the final carried by the squad and he'll score penalty and act like he did a Maradona 1986.

The feeling of entitlement in that interview is astonishing. He’s 38 and behaving like a child. He clearly wants out so just cancel his contract and book him a taxi to the airport.

Remember his interview about mentality last season and how the young players weren't mature?

I've disconnected from him some time back, so watch all the shenanigans unfold and find them quite fascinating, but then, I remember he's doing it to our club, again, and it becomes quite sickening. I try to envisage how it is perceived through his narcissistic lens and there's a catharsis in knowing he doesn't care about anyone or any club and it's all about him and his legacy, nothing personal, like.

But yeah, being emotionally invested in someone who has no regard for you is a fool's errand, and it's a shame so many of our fans are coming to that realisation so late in the cycle.

Great stuff about Schuster, by the way. Didn't know about that!

For courageously speaking about his own experiences with childhood poverty and pressuring politicians into reverting cuts to programs that feed poor children?

"God knows what" is one way to put it.

what is a heel?
Its the "bad guy" in American entertainment wrestling (WWE).

Yeah, the Rashford comment didn't age too well, did it? He's had an excellent season so far, while Ronaldo has had his worst. The English press did such a dirty on poor old Ronnie that he chose to skip matches to spend his time being interviewed by them. Not just any paper, the worst in the country to a man caught up in all the filth of phone hacking. He's voluntarily gotten in bed with the worst people in the media. These Ronaldo acolytes can never moan about the press ever again, he's feeding them and they're buying it.

Honestly, calling in sick because you've not got the balls to look your teammates in the face after slinging mud. Ronaldo is pathetic and a coward.

It sure looks like he's trying his best. Can't wait until he officially fecks off and takes his bootlicking fans with him.

Clearly the intention was to not just burn his bridges but nuke them from orbit. Who would have him though? He’d fit right in at Derby and rip it up in league 1.
