His options are incredibly limited, unless he takes a pay cut. He won't go to Sporting because he wants a UCL team and more specifically a UCL team that has a chance to win it. Those teams all have established better strikers.

I think united should make him stay at least at the end of the summer, going to the bench.

Good riddance. Hopefully no payment involved. He doesn't deserve jack shit.

Great, finally we can find a new proper CF and clear the mess dressing room atmosphere
Just guess, who will sign him up on free and a big contract if he don't want a pay cut.

He’s definitely had a fat payout
Unlikely. This was a mutual agreement which would have probably entailed him accepting the annulment of his contract. You get a fat payout if you get sacked.

Have we had to pay him off?
As far as I know, mutual consent usually means they've paid him off but come to an agreement for less than the full amount on his contract.

Doubt we'll ever know exactly how much, but it's a win either way.

Their are two options that would be amazing.

Bayern on a free is for sure an option, they probably become CL favorites

OR

RETURN TO SPORTING <3
Favourites to go out in the next round more like. One of the most anti-Nagelsmann footballers around and Nagelsmann hasn’t played a top level professionally and is younger than him. Where will the respect be there if he doesn’t respect Ten Hag? Disaster waiting to happen.

Sad that it had to end this way.

I’m so pleased they the club has backed the manager.

Just hope he doesn't come to Sporting. Amorim and Ronaldo doesn't sound good for the club
Oh come on Sly that’s insane.

What he would do for our league and club is insane. Also Ronaldo in Sporting puts up close to Mario Jardel numbers

Very much doubt he got a penny. And very much doubt any serious top club would sign him even on a free. Maybe Lisbon if he's lucky - otherwise China or some marketing league. He should retire and spend a year in therapy.

Another good decision by the club...during the summer they made a few errors but generally they have been making the right moves for a while now.

Good to get it all over with.

Sad ending for a brilliant player, but this is for the best. Utd can hopefully move swiftly on from this saga and bring in someone hungry to actually push us on.
It’s always a sad ending for all great players, apart from the King!

I won't celebrate it as regardless of his poor seasona and attitude in the past 6 months or so, he remains a legend in mine and I would assume most United fans eyes.

Those who are angry, and that's probably most of us will come to forget in time and remember the many great memories and moments he gave the club. For a brief period United were the best side on the planet with the world's best player.

On a more petty note and because all this is to fresh, I hope he has an awful world cup and can't find a club.

Good conclusion to what was a really disappointing and unprofessional episode for him. Should've happened in the summer really, but at least it's happened. He messed up and was disrespectful, but that happens - wish him all the best for the future, especially in his personal life cos he's been through a lot this year.

As for us, hope the space freed up on the wage bill is effectively utilized and we bring in a top notch striker in January. That will be the make or break of our season.
