I barely have any feelings about this, which probably says it all. Relief maybe, but beyond that, yeah whatever. Don't wish him any ill, won't miss him, just meh.

Now that he wont be available to play against Barca maybe we can petition Uefa to unrig the draw.

Multiple sources say he was available for free towards the end of the window and no bugger wanted him, probably because he still wants 500k pw I am sceptical over who is going to take him now I just don't see who will at the level he wants to play at
He's the best 37yo who ever played. Just ask him.

Even though I’m not a great fan of Ronaldo, I felt he was forced to do it the hard way. A shame United and Ronaldo didn’t make this agreement four months ago.

I was sceptic about this deal from day one, but I suppose United was a bigger disappointment for Ronaldo than Ronaldo was for United.

Even if he is an egocentric prick, I think his career deserves a descent and happy ending. That wouldn’t have happened in Manchester, and a hope he’ll have that in his new club.
No one forced him to do anything. His agent was offering his services in the summer and no one wanted him. His form has been abysmal this season and he acted like a petulant child by walking off in a match. He then proceeded to whore himself to Piers Morgan and slag off the manager and club.

It's going to be even more awkward between him, Bruno and Dalot. Glad he left, no more Ronaldo questions at press conferences.

Could it have ended differently? In the sense that if he so wanted to leave he could have done it behind closed doors, not by burning all the bridges and shitting on the club. I guess he's too much of a cnut to do it differently than he did.

I have no idea either, yet.

I can't see why not except if he needed the being driven out narrative.

Finally. Can't wait for the season to kick on again and not being forced to see this man-child stinking up the place.

Good. He was a great player once, and his first spell here was electric (even though he angled for a get out). But now the mega ego way outstrips the remaining talent, and he's no good for us on or off the pitch.

Jolly good, take your planet sized adams apple, your galaxy sized ego and your matchstick sized custard Canon and piss off.

Anyone see his new Jacobs&Co watch getting adverts? The watch face has an image of “that headed goal” against United when he was at Madrid. Needed months of planning to design that!

Was never going to end well and this has been engineered to perfection on his end.

Typical of Ronaldo to go out this way. Think he retires now as can't see anyone decent signing him.

Best decision for both parties. It’s been a difficult season for him and after the interview, there wasn’t really anything else that could happen. I hope he has a good end to his career, I don’t know where that’s going to be right now.

Said it before a few times but he may as well just retire if Portugal somehow win the World Cup. Go out on a supreme high like your mentor Sir Alex did. He can then claim Messi won more Balon D’Ors than me but he hasn’t got the World Cup unlike me, and the stupid Ronaldo vs Messi debate goes on forever between their crazed fanboys as the rest of us look forward to the future.

There's no way they win the WC.
England are closer.

Am I the only one that wants to know whether we’ve been done financially?!? Are we having to pay £10m for his parting comment about always having affection for the club?? Makes me sick to think it’s the fans money - paying for TV, shirts and tickets - that he’s walking off with and nobody even seems to care. This only works as a win for the club if we didn’t let him rob us! Otherwise who’s going to go on Tele at our expense next?

IF so, what a complete ass he is. He could have just spent one more half season with United and gone out in style. If he also made an outgoing statement about the Glazers on a more neutral basis, he would have gone out an even bigger idol. But his ego has fecked him.

There was literally only one other news that could put Ronaldo being booted out on the back burner…and that was the Glazers selling up!

Are you allowed to play for your country whilst being unattached from a club? Can swear that used to be a thing.
