The next you'll tell me the same company has a TV service and commissions its own TV shows. Some people really are idiots and I'm thankful we have you to enlighten us all
Apple are a public listed company. How will their shareholders feel about them spending billions of their cash on a football team, something that will absolutely tank their stock? It's their CEO's job to raise stock prices, not destory them. Stock prices go up when Apple enter a new market or invent a new device, when they innovate, show greater iPhone sales data or do something truely brilliant, not when the drop billions on a sports brand that no one who owns Apple gives a flying shit about.

People really think a company that makes phones and computers is going to spend billions of dollars to buy a football team :lol:
You don't think they'll want to bang 5billion on us, then another couple of billion on ground, training ground and players?
Why not?

They've openly admitted that they purposefully make the product you have already paid for not work, in order to force you to buy their new product. You got to be an absolute mug to buy an apple product after hearing that. Which brings me to my next point, Apple fanboys are insufferable, and if we get bought by Apple there's an additional half billion insufferable apple fanboys.
How many on the Caf are mugs? Me I guess.

I wonder what the thoughts of the folks in Saudi Arabia are. They’ve wanted a football club for a while, and just a few months after they’ve bought Newcastle, both Manchester United and Liverpool are up for sale. I wonder if they regret it?

Could probably afford just to bin the club off back to Ashley, then buy either or. Or both.

I agree it probably won't happen but we all know these companies are not all run on a common sense approach at all times. It's not like paying £6bn for United is going to register as a big shambles on Apple's bottom line.

Only the ones that continued to buy products from a company that openly admitted to reducing their performance in order to force you to spend more of your money on new products.
So, who knows maybe 50-80% of people on here are mugs? No clue on Iphone usage numbers of course, but I'd assume it's pretty large.

And, I would say there is no way Apple is buying United.

Apple’s stock will not tank because they spent $10b buying us.
That is peanuts for them. They could literally buy us with their spare change.

I know this will sound funny but there's a lot of Manchester United fans in the world. However, there's a LOT LOT more non-United fans obviously. Those fans will not want to buy Apple products knowing it will be going a way to help bankroll us, as fickle as it sounds.

Apple are incredibly well run, hence the reason they're worth trillions. And it would, that money has to come from somewhere, they spend all their cash on innovation, R&D is crazy expensive.

I would like to think sane adults would not think that way. For example I always use iPhones but if Apple bought Liverpool that would not make me switch to android.

Of course they could, they just have £10b sitting in a cash account, waiting for Tim Cook to whip out his contactless Apple Pay in the OT corporate suite to get the deal done...

If Apple bought Liverpool, how fast are you dropping your £1000 iPhone next time the contract is up? There might be a lot of United fans but how many can afford an iPhone? How many anti-United fans are there? You know what really tanks stocks? Poor sales data, missing earnings, poor growth metrics. All these things are true if Apple buy United.

Some of you live in a fantasy world.

I recall what Radcliffe said but the story as I remember it was they were looking for outside investment and may sell if they can't get it. I believe that is still the story it's just a different emphasis in the headlines.
Nah Ratcliffe met the Glazers and specifically said they wouldn’t sell.

It’s a huge development now than they will.

Totally new headline and story.

As if. The only people dim enough to make such decisions probably couldn't even afford an iphone or mac

Apple bought Beats and I don't recall any outcry. If, and it's a big if, Apple were after United, I'm sure they have a legitimate reason in mind. Plus, the cost of United is a week's takings for Apple and United would be another asset.

I just hope all this speculation doesn't end up as just that and the Glazers still own us at the end of it.

Amazing how a nonsense story from the star gets so much traction.

Every iPhone that is bought, would be another £ to the Liverpool transfer kitty. It be our fault they end up buying Mbappe
