Didi Hamman isn't English? Maybe you should stop making ignorant statements on whole groups of people.
I wasn't referring to Hamman. I was referring to the shit-fit that took place during and after the match on Sky, and the more general trend of pundits in England holding foreign players (particularly those with exuberant personalities) to entirely different standards of behaviour in comparison to English players.

Also, I myself am English. I just happen to think the standard of football punditry in England is woeful.

I absolutely love this guy. His second header tonight was fabulous. To see him in tears with his family at the end of the game just showed how much it means to him. The Spurs fans adore him already.

He's really given Tottenham a whole new dimension. Apart from Halaand up there as a signing of the season candidate. Really would've been a fantastic option for us but CL football probably tipped the scale in Spurs favor.

I think he will continue to get better and get a lot of plaudits.

There was that one goal for Everton that really showed how good he is, where he ran in behind and had a great touch to kill the ball and get it into goal.

Only the truly elite strikers can do that, and combined with his energy and all round ability he'll be a great pickup for Spurs.

Shame, it seems under SAF we used to get the best players like Tevez, but now we have to watch them go to every other team.

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
I said I'd have liked him here for the reasons he's shining at Spurs. He's a very good quality player, but his enthusiasm and work rate is infectious. Thankfully we brought in a few others in the mould, but he'd have fit in very well with what we're trying to do.

Not all but quite a few Brazilian players these days are turning out to be real fighters, particularly in attack. They've got the flair but seem to relish working like dogs on the pitch. This seems to be quite a recent thing, or am I forgetting players of previous generations?

He's a good player and a fighter. He impressed me every time I watched him at Everton and stood out as their best player. Was due a step up.

He’s got that dawg in him. Feel like he would have been immense for us.

Funny enough I didn’t use to rate him much, but he’s a good player and a dog on that pitch

How sensitive.

Who said I dislike the English?

It's just funny how your footballing culture looks down on these things compared to other European and South American nations where shithousery is considered part of the game. He juggled the ball, who fecking cares.
It's not really our "footballing" culture, but more a general culture thing. Brits generally don't like show offs and things considered to be unsporting.

That being said, I love shithousery in football. As long as it isn't against United

He cost as much as Nunez, has 0 league goals never scored 20 goals in his career yet people think he is a gem:lol:

I think he’s decent but it’s always funny how Inconsistently people judge players.

More so because fail to contextualise things. For Spurs he's mostly had late sub appearances in the league.

Averaged around 10 league goals a season playing for a pretty crap Everton side from the ages of 20-24.

For me the reason I rate him highly is from certain moments and goals - he has a golden touch that he's used in some goals that not many strikers have. That combined with his pace and work rare make a very good player. I still think he has another level to go up but not sure playing as a wide player in a Conte system was the best career move.

cost as much as Nunez? He cost 50+10. Nunez cost 64+21.

Also Spurs was a crap move for him but he was desperate for CL football and we were desperate for the money.

I don’t think people judging him by his stats are seeing the whole picture. If being used correctly, he offers so much more than his goals. Has brilliant mentality and work-rate, as well as good football brain. Would be a great addition for any top side.
