16 forced turnovers for Casemiro. No idea what that means but we cooking
With all the attention on the attackers, defense may even be a bit underrated. So much experience and skill there. I'm loving it

This is the same Serbia that won their UEFA qualifying group. Really poor cowardly performance.
Yep ... Deserved what they got. Obviously takes a lot of courage to try and force the issue against Brazil, but at least you expect them to try and play

Usual story with these bunch (and a symptom of how easy are European qualifications).

Remember when they went to the world cup with the best defense in the world (only one goal conceded in like 2 years or something like that) and Argentina abused them 6-0?
Too obvious

Red Card for Casemiro!
I know you lot love him and Imma catch flack for this but Antony doesn’t look anything special. Not in the games I’ve seen him play for United. And here he looks a level below the other forwards as well.

:nervous:
You're not wrong in thinking so. The catch is that he's discouraged from dribbling and taking the high risk shots at United, so you'll see a far more conservative version of Antony for a while than his flamboyant counterparts. Also, he came on with clear instructions to keep things calm, so there's that. There is a genuine worry that it's not just a switch - the ability to dribble or the confidence to do so.

Hope he gets more time and more freedom in the WC that he can bring back to the club.

From what I saw, not particularly entertaining but Brazil looks good. Controlled the game in all aspects, tough team to beat with a lot of options.

Having seen all teams now: Spain and Brazil the most impressive.
Agreed. Don't want to get ahead of myself but a potential QF between Brazil and Spain could be the match of the tournament.
Hopefully in such a scenario, the inexperience in Spain's midfield is exposed.

Football is not football without Brazil and the world needs their Joga bonito. After playing like more European teams than actual European teams for more than a decade Brazil needs to come back to its roots and play like they were meant to be. Come on Brazil !!!
They are cooking :drool::drool::drool:

They got trashed by Brazil, nothing to be ashamed of.

Also Croatia barely scrapped their qualifiers group losing the direct spot to Iceland, and reached the final last WC...so i don't think it's a symbol of anything.

Can Brazil go far without Neymar ? He is so fragile, it's not beyond the realm of possibility that he might be out for a while
If any team can, it’s this one. Ridiculous attacking riches. What a far cry from the last World Cup.

Think in recent years they were always great attacking wise, but a bit of a soft touch if you got at the defence. Think Thiago Silva is majestic and Casemiro is brilliant in front of them.

Someone's going to have to put in a very good performance to stop Brazil winning this, insane depth they have in most areas.

Looks like they’re going to be the team to beat. I don’t even think they got out of first gear. Serbia offered nothing attack wise though.

In the past no but this year, absolutely, they have the best attack by miles in the tournament.

Which game were you watching? There were some beautiful moves from the Brazilians, today. Did you see the second goal or Casemiro's shot hitting the bar? The link-up play between the forwards?

True.

Also people forget Brazil himself is using money now to overdominate Copa Libertadores, they have started buying the best players from other southamerican countries(adjusted by availability), including argentinians and uruguayans.

They have always invented way more money in Football than the rest of south american countries, by a lot.
Do you realise they have half the population of South America and account for over 50% of its GDP?

Of course they invest a lot more. The anomaly would be them being less dominant.

Neymar, Rodrygo, Vinicius, Richarlison, Jesus, Antony, Martinelli

vs.

Kane, Sterling, Saka, Rashford, Foden, Grealish, Wilson

I don't think England's attack is far off.

I can see France doing their boring France thing and beating them on the counter. Brazil vs. Spain is what I really want to see, god that would be tasty.

Wouldn't shock me if that's the final unless they can meet before. Still a chance Brazil-Portugal could occur aswell.

This is his first game back from injury to be fair, he's been great for us though, always provides a goal scoring threat from the right and has produced important goals for us this season.

Yeah, but they face Harry Maguire and not Thiago Silva.

That's what I said, literally.

I think they might be only around 3-4 countries in the whole world who invest as much or more than them in Football : Germany,Spain,France and England.

Some people just think that because it's a third world country, these "poor" guys do what they can with their resources.
