I don't think the game is that good technically, lots of intensity for sure but Spain conceded a lot against a Germany team that lost to Japan 3 days ago, they hardly play "a different game".
International cup football, 1 game shit happens. Germany created more xG vs Japan than pretty much anyone in any game this tournament. They just missed chances and then were punished. Reading too much into a fluke result isn't smart

Yeah personally I'd have Rodri starting at base of their midfield but hierarchy I guess.

What a finish from the Bremen guy, he wasn't letting Musiala having another shot was he?!
Spot on. Rodri is much better now. Enriques Barca favouritism will be their downfall.

Schlotterbeck with a great tackle
It is but his general position was horrible there with the rest of the backline stepping up. Not getting away with that if Mbappe or Vinicius are in that position.

I was just about to ask how a country like Germany cannot produce a half decent striker.
They never really do. The only real all time great striker they've produced was Gerd Muller, maybe Klinsmann if you're generous. The likes of Klose and Mario Gomez had weird careers as they were much more prolific with the national team than at club level where they were never truly dominant and mostly spent their careers at mid-tier clubs.

I am talking about the quality of their passing and pressing. They may lose games due to their deficiencies but I like the quality of their football. Talking about Germany here.
I’m not sure what game you’re watching but this isn’t high quality.

Both teams very sloppy in possession and in final decision making

I dunno I just don't see it at all. Spain was too young at the euros and they outplayed everyone and lost on pens to the winners who were also excellent. How is the attack blunt, they are the top scorers in the world Cup? They are coached brilliantly and play like an elite CL side and have bundles of creativity. They are young sure, but Pedri is world class already, not some random young player.
That's a lot of conclusion drawn from basically 1 game against Costa Rica and a draw (so far) against germany.

Agree with whoever said Musiala has a bit of the Zidane about him.
