Not really surprising we would be interested, his name has popped up as a candidate to move on from Portuguese football pretty soon and that was prior to his exploits against Switzerland. There's a pretty limited pool of natural number 9 candidates that are young with potential.

I’ve only seen him against Switzerland but his hold up play, work rate and all round game looked good and statistically he seems a very well rounded forward. His pace would concern me - doesn’t seem like someone who can stretch teams but I’ve seen very little of him so could be wrong. He also doesn’t look 6 foot 1 so that surprised me!

This screams of Real Madrid signing James Rodriguez after he scored a great goal 8 years ago. How'd that turn out?
James’ biggest problem was that he was injury prone, and never truly fit tactically at Madrid. He was still a very good quality player
Ramos seems a traditional no.9 in a position we desperately need a player. He might fail, but I don’t think they’re that comparable
