I liked your reports better when they were on obscure players, lately you've been a copule of days behind when everyone else called them
Most of them have been on players doing well in the top division of one of the biggest leagues in the world. At that point anyone who pays attention to those leagues knows the player. And certainly any scout working for a club in the top division.

I think the only obscure ones were a couple of Swedish players right? How well did they perform at the world cup?

For the most part his name is ironic

I think he made the Kvaratshkrelia thread before he came to Europe, and called a few others that didn't make it, but thats the fun of it

He’s not a winger though and Antony is doing just fine.

Kudus is great however and he’s a one man cover for 8, 9 and 10. I’d be worried about his injury proneness but I saw him linked to Dortmund for €20mn which is such a low fee as to mitigate any fears in that regard. Free hit for an outstanding talent.

Has adapted well changing his role for Ajax but think I would prefer his countryman Kamaldeen Sulemana.

It was reported we would be keeping an eye on him at this WC and he clocked the fastest speed there so far 35.7 KM/H.

He was tearing up the danish league with neymar level skills and one of our former scouts who owns that club & also runs the Ghanian right to dream academy where Kudus also came from, apparantly flagged him up to us.

Of course there was a battle for his signature from many "step up" clubs including Ajax where Ten Hag was very interested in his electric pacey profile. Ended up going to france with Rennes where he carried on showing his fantastic ability, destroying PSG and scoring some pretty insane solo-ability goals like this one ( need to click through to YT) -

He got a pretty bad injury that put him out for ahwile but he returned recently and shown it hasn't effected his electric pace, clocking the highest top speed at WC so far.

Would really like us to revisit him before he does explode properly, kind of good he didn't get in ahead of the washed up Ayew brothers so his price and profile is still not over the top. Can play on both wings and although we are fairly well stocked now he is the type of player when you can get him, you should just get him especially on the fairly cheap.

ETH knows about him and has spoken a lot about what he wants in wide areas with speed, rhythm & "tempo dribbles" as he calls them, so hopefully if we do end up binning Sancho in the next 12 months or a spot for 2nd choice on a wing opens up, he would be ideal for coming on against tired legs and fighting for a starting spot.

He'll be one to watch over the next few windows, an extremely exciting talent for whoever gets him

Newcastle, Villa, Everton, Palace, Brighton and could all use him, so my guess is he ends up at one of those clubs, with them ranked in order of money they have and thus likelihood. He's better than Willock and Everton don't have a 10 at all really, though might be tough to fit him in with their Iwobi-Onana-Gueye midfield doing alright. Villa is my best guess, they have money and Kudus-Luiz-Kamara-Ramsey and a winger and a striker seems like the sort of physical and annoying team Emery would like, with one of the midfielder dropped at times for a 2nd winger.

Yeah, those players in world cup is clear to see. Theirs qualities. Even my grandma could recommendate those players. So no need to hurry. Like United scouting team are behind everyone.

Like Ramos hat trick scoring. Do you need a scout licence. D license as head coach or Top DOF to see the shining of Ramos?
Yeah but a hat-trick means nothing in isolation. Denis Bailey once scored a hat trick against us for QPR. didn’t mean he was worth signing

If we'd have signed him the day before, he wouldn't have been able to score a hat trick against us. That seems to be City's transfer policy, e.g. buying Alverez and Grealish so no one else can have them.

FFP was brought in to stop that type of behaviour, spending silly money on Grealish to warm the bench.

Sulemana is absolutely undeniably not ready. He was barely ready for the step up to Rennes. He’ll be a couple of year’s development at the very least. Kalimuendo and Terrier are their forward players to watch out for apart from the obvious Gouiri. Doku is in a similar position as Sulemana. Good young player but not taking that next step just yet.

I agree as far as he is not ready for 90 minutes week in week out for us, but that's the benefit of picking him up around this theoretical price point. I assume you are familiar with his game, like I mentioned in my post you know then he would be fantastic coming from the bench for 20 minutes for 1 on 1's or on the counter. Would rather pip him early than end up having to cough up the big bucks when he's putting it all together, thats the trick we keep missing recently.

Kudus has been just as inconsistent really it is only recently he has come into the wider public eye bagging a few goals in netherlands and now WC. Ghana is a great talent bed atm though we should look at some of the other youngsters there coming up, liverpool were sniffing around a few of them as they seem to know.

Doku is a shame his injuries last season were insane really ruining his career so far. I think I recall pool looking at him before he was ravaged. Kalimuendo has looked good yeah and Terrier is a late bloomer I like him although can see him at a West Ham as much as a top club to be honest. We rarely look at players like that although maybe we should.

I don’t think Kudus is the kind of player we need either. But the last thing we need is another young winger who’s not there yet with the promise for 10/15 minutes. We have Garnacho and Amad for that. Add in Rennes bought Sulemana for €20m and you’re probably looking at a hefty price from them. Better off waiting until his contract is shorter and he’s shown that he can actually play consistently in France.

Yeah Terrier isn’t top tier but he’s the only Rennes winger who actually would get into our team with regularity now, which is why I brought him up.

Before ETH yeah definitely not, but we have an actual coach now who can develop players and install basics in possession quite quickly. Considering our record of expensive flops I don't think picking up promising talents that are first team squad ready would be a bad idea. Balanced by a few veterans here and there as we are.

You can forget about him. Ten Hag doesn't like him that much. So unless Ten Hag changed his mind it's not gonna happen

Funny you should mention that, as Andy Mitten takes the opposite view in today's Athletic article:
Andy Mitten is wrong though, Ten Hag didn't even think Kudus was good enough for Ajax, otherwise he'd play him more than 400 minutes in Ten Hags last season at Ajax

He looks really promising, liek Gapko though I think he looks better on the flanks in an attackign three. We have an abundance of options there on both sides.

We need a proper striker like a Vlahovic or an Omishen or someone of that ilk.....otherwise we may as well not sign anybody and play Rashford up front.

He looks good though. What has happened to Sulemana though? He looked fabulous at Rennes at first, got an injury last season. I saw he was in the world cup and barely played, whenever I have caught Rennes he doesn tseem to be playing, same with Doku

Personally I'd have thought that forcing him onto the pitch with an ankle injury and fractured ribs would have been a far greater sign of dislike, but that might just be me!

Would be interesting having 2 of the hardest strikers of the ball right now on the same squad with Rashford and him.

Like what I saw at the world cup, think he's insistent on leaving soon too as well. Let's see if this has any legs, he would bring added versatility across the front line.

Kudus was largely suffering with injuries under EtH whereas his competition was doing a great job, doesnt mean EtH didnt think he was good enough.

Would love Kudus at United, don't think he'd start but would be an upgrade on Donny. His qualities are also much more suited to United and the Prem. He is far less reliant on system and other players.

Oh you might, but it's bad for you, since this means that Ten Hag thinks this United team is worse than his Ajax team. That said, i still can't see it happening

You think Ten Hag thinks the current United side is inferior to Ajax 2021/22?

Except you are talking rubbish. Kudus suffered injuries and was still considered raw last season. Has nothing to do with how highly ETH rated him.

Did you read the post above yours? I don't think we'll sign Kudus either, but if we did that would be a strange conclusion to make.

Your take from this is Ten Hag still doesn't rate him but United are so bad that he wants to use him here anyway?

It's a take, I'll give you that.
