Lots of people wanted him. Look at him now, he would moan like this at United too.
Classic case of the Mourinho’s. These guys disassociate themselves from failure because it couldn’t possibly be them, it’s literally everyone else around here that’s causing theses issues and everyone else is out to stop them from being successful.

We all remember his demeanour around Chelsea before he was sacked, sulking in every interview, moaning about everything in sight, he’s doing exactly the same now and he’ll do it everywhere he goes because he’s never the problem in his mind, or at least part of it. You can absolutely guarantee he’d be pulling the same shit at United, Madrid, PSG, anywhere, you name it.

Urmmm... to inform you Chiesa was injured last January. Romero also was on loan to Atalanta for a few seasons, he was not playing for Juve when Spurs loaned / bought him.

Maybe Juve would have been a better team with them in the team.

How is Ten Hag another lets try our luck manager? Conte is not a good coach, he is a big baby really.
I’d get it if he was implying Solskjaer was that but Ten Hag? Coming from a club that took a massive punt on Pirlo and Sarri…

Now Tottenham isn't a winning side so yeah but all the previous teams he managed won a championship or close to.
How can you win a championship by playing shitty?

Anyway I gotta say first Juventus under Conte was really enjoyable to watch when we were playing 4-3-3.
Things changed when he switched back to 3-5-2 and he sat back on out prime defence (Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini and Buffon).
And guys remember things could always be worse and your manager could be Allegri.
If you don't like Conte style people would hang up themselves if they had Allegri as their mastermind
That's my point. He's done it before, both at Juventus and at Chelsea. He knows how to do it.

A part of me feels that managers like this are actually exposed when they go to clubs that give them more power and control. Where they are asked to make more decisions than simply tactical decisons. They can work well in environments where transfers are handled for them, where they don't have to care about the legacy of the clubs, but rather the short term initiative of winning.

However when asked to do more than that and actually be managers ( something they always request to do), they show how shortsighted they really are

Not too many of them in here apart from myself
Well a spurs fan doesn't surprise me, I'm more talking about the ones who were still banging on about that we should've got him even after EtH was starting to show how good he is for United.

Well he is alive and should fire them up for Arsenal game. Can imagine him and Arteta clash at some point  no way they won't be up for game against their biggest rival who are possibly going to win the title as well.

Six winners in 30 years suggests you are talking out your hole

also if more places are up for grabs it would take away from the PL anyway in terms of competition.
It’s just Barcelona, Madrid and possibly Bayern btw three teams who take advantage of their own league weaknesses to dominate everyone.

Apart from them we absolutely dominate football these days. I don’t know if you realise but La Liga is poor right now.

Madrid won last year was one of the weakest sides ever to win a CL. City didn’t get out of first gear and should have put 8 past them over both legs.

It will only get worse too for the Spanish clubs. The Premier League is just far too strong. Foreign clubs can maybe get away with it in Europe sometimes due to them conserving energy on weekends but on a level playing field City for example would smash Madrid 8 times out of 10.

The 2 Spanish sides with Messi and Ronaldo / a golden era Atheltico was lightning in a bottle which will probably never happen again.

There is no way Spain gets back to that level. They would have to cheat or destroy football as we know it to compete with our far superior product.

Do you work for the Premier League?

Could it not be that spurs players are a bunch of entitled cnuts with bad attitude? They thrown Poch, Mourinho and now Conte under the bus.

I do not agree with this sentiment on here that Conte is a rubbish coach. They played really well when they won title with Inter.

This was just a bad match from the start Conte and Tottenham. But their squad down tools and look so disinterested!!

Never wanted him. Too abrasive and wouldn't be able to take boring wingbacks game after game.

The way Spurs have played in the North London derbies this season reminds me of the approach Mourinho would take for us in the Manchester derbies. Really poor

This is actually trash management from him. You can’t be called an elite manager and continually make the same mistakes. Literally every big game this season they’ve been battered and mainly because they completely concede the midfield area with this system. I actually cannot believe he’s sent that team out today after what happened at the emirates. If he was here and doing this, I’d be absolutely fuming.

Yes. The results will soon start to match their shit performances. Their football is horrible.
They were top when I posted this I think.
People hailed their summer business, some even said they will contend for the league. I remember they were third favs.
Man for man, their team is better that it looks but Conte is a terrible coach. Might be a good manager but when it comes to improving players, he’s terrible.

If your midfield 4 is Docherty, Sarr, Hojberg and Sessegnon then it doesn't matter if you have Kane and Son, you're going to do feck all.

They were set up to fail. Whenever they get forward, it was 3-4 against double the amount of Arsenal players, that’s how deep they are playing. Son probably should’ve done better with his chance but when playing under the cosh the whole time without being able to generate chances tend to sap the enthusiasm out of players. Look at us during that 20 min spell at the start of the 2nd half yesterday and we are a better team by far than Spurs.

We genuinely had people on here saying Conte could win Spurs the title.

Roberto De Zerbi is a potential opportunity for Spurs and he has the ability to coach a brand of football that is attractive on the eye in possession and effective off the ball via a high intensity press. I think he's showing the potential to be a world class coach.

Arteta is absolutely schooling Conte here and the reason for that is very simple, and that is because he's a superior coach at implementing a progressive/imposing play style on the ball. Spurs better hope Harry Kane can muster something because I can't see any other way back unless Arsenal gift them a goal.

He’s a manager and tactically astute, the biggest hurdle for him is the fact that Levy doesn’t have anything left for transfers after spending so much on an impressive stadium. The Spuds have got half a decent squad but like us, have some deadbeat players they need to replace.

He's a good manager but at the wrong club. He isn't the kind who's going to sign and develop young players and work on an average budget. Spurs certainly don't spend as other top clubs do so Conte isn't the man for them really. Still I'm glad we went for ETH instead.

What EPL club will be the right club for him?

The way he sets his teams up means results will ultimately catch up with performances in the long term.

Granted he hasn't got the players he wants but he should do more with Bissouma etc.

Dominates so hard, that a full 2 of the last 10 European cups, and 2 of the last 9 Europas have been won by English clubs.

At least wait until England win both the cups in 1 year, or win a couple in a row.
