I wouldn't them off after we couldn't beat Palace.
We’re after winning every game since the WC, We’ve been asked to play 6 games in 19 days which is ridiculous, we were denied a stonewall penalty and only ended up drawing to Palace because of that and a world class free kick, we’re absolutely fine. They just got hammered by Brighton and Brentford and cheated their way past Wolves in the cup. We’ve absolutely no reason to be negative.

I want City to win tonight, Spurs staying shit is important to us. A draw would be alright. As much as I've growing confidence that we should get top 4, still a long way to go.

In truth I can't say I'm too worried about any of the chasing pack when it comes top 4. It's ours to throw away. We'd need to shit the bed badly. The other teams in the race look a lot more likely to keep shitting in the bed anyway.

Might come back to haunt me, but it's bloody nice to have some belief in this team again.

That's flattened me until we win a few games again, starting after Arsenal where we will get absolutely nothing

Love how our next league game after Arsenal is bloody Palace again  hope we give them the battering they deserve.
Unfortunately will be too late then when we needed to be doing that last night

If anyone seriously thought we were winning the league then sorry but you’re more deluded than the Scousers.

We have zero squad depth. We have a manager who hasn’t even been here for a season yet. When the likes of Eriksen or Casemiro don’t play, the drop off in quality is huge.

We’re progressing far more quickly than I could have hoped for. We’re in good shape and will be even better when the sale goes through.

Not winning but at least have applied a hint of pressure but can't do that now

Based on what thought? Just seems like you’re looking for a reason to be annoyed. We’re doing well, why not enjoy that fact.
I'm bloody frustrated we still haven't learnt to kill off games. You aren't always going to close out a 1-0 lead, just ask City against Everton and Villa.

Spot on absolutely on the money, we need 2 more Midfield players, one like D Rice and one genuine no 10/8 like Milinkosavic or J Maddison. We also need a world class number 9 like Benzema or Kane and another quick young physical CB like the young Croatian lad , J Gvardiol or J Timber. That lost would be almost impossible to get in 2 windows let alone 1 and cost best part £300m. We need to then get rid of probably Fred, Mctominay, Harry Maguire, A Elanga, P Jones and A Tuanzebe. The most important thing is if you asked 100 united fans what they think of ETH and whether they want to keep him, then 99 would say yes and the 1 that said no is a scouser in disguise!

Can only get one midfielder in summer absolute maximum and that relies on new ownership

Don’t think we have to worry about dropping out of top 4. I think we’re comfortably the 3rd best team in the country. Only the 4th place will go to a “race” IMO between Newcastle, Spurs and Liverpool.

Well we’re level in second now. City needs to fix their defence and work around Haaland or they’re right in it

Last thing we needed was Spurs back in the race.
Yes not great if Tottenham win a game tonight they were expected to lose.

Gap to 5th is currently only 3 points plenty of work in the 2nd half of the season for Man United to secure a top 4 finish and will need to keep key players fit to achieve it.

To be fair, best result for us is a draw in this match. City aren’t dropping out the top 4 so it’s all about a buffer between 4th and 5th

Shows how fragile it is.

United were a minute away from going 8 points clear of spurs. By Monday night they’ll possibly be above us

That’s not possible???
Edit - actually it is on goal difference but we would have a game in hand

Correct. One could even argue that a City win is preferable to a draw as we really do want to get rid of Spurs altogether, whereas there is no getting rid of City.

If Spurs win we’ll be 3 clear with a game in hand. There’s no real difference between potentially going 6 clear or 8 clear when we’re only in game week 18.
The only thing worse than thinking it’s over are the people shitting themselves unnecessarily every week when results don’t go 100 percent for us
Edit hope everybody is happy, looks like Spurs isn’t winning this. We can keep the shitting of pants for another time

It is between us, Pool and Newcastle for 2 spots. And i still don't trust that Newcastle can keep going like this

This must mean we’ve solidified top 4 now right?
Saying that I think Spurs will get a third

I agree with this, if ETH had been in for slightly longer and had more of his own players than perhaps a league challenge could be realistic. I think it's high optimism, when you concede that Pep, Arteta even Howe have had multiple season it's a testament of the profile of ETH.

Oops, I screwed this up. Was hoping they’d lose three in a row, then Loris started playing like a non league keeper.
