Tbh I find him annoying too. He goes way over the top in his praise and I find his analysis meh. Also he speaks so matter of factly, and that things must be as if he knows all, when there is a ton of variability and unpredictability in football. My impression of the guy.
I haven’t seen his other analysis, but I like and agree what he said about Amad. And he made a good point why Amad should stay on his loan.

This basically. He’ll analyze some players and make you think they’re the second coming of fecking Xavi and everyone is an idiot for not seeing it. And then you realize the player he’s analyzing is fecking McTominay

Apologies if already posted but do we have a recall clause in this loan?
Ten Hag mentioned in a recent press conference that we considered recalling Amad, but we decided against it to keep him consistently playing football.
ten Shagger on Amadinho Diallo said:
"We consider everything. As long as it's strengthening the squad.

"But at the same time, I have a little bit of a reservation for that because I don’t want to stop the process. He’s [making] really good progress there, so I’m happy with that.

"I know also, they need experiences, young players. When we decide [for him] to come back, he has to be a player who can be starting XI, compete for starting XI [at a] minimum, for a lot of games to come in and have an impact."

Since his first goal in GW 9 he has 8 G&A in 12 games, quite impressive actually. Took some time to settle in but he's been on fire since late October.

I actually can't stand that guy on twitter but nice to see he's providing some Amad exposure.
Honestly, there are some remarks he makes there that I just don't agree with. Seems like he at least in some instances have a preconceived notion that he just tries to confirm. Diallo is out on the sideline a ton in Sunderland's games. He actually mostly have a very wide starting point. But then he of course floats into the field at times. I also don't quite agree with the notion that Diallo isn't fast. He is definitely fast and his acceleration with the ball is really good. But of course there are degrees here. Is he Mbappe-fast? No. To put it like this, he is definitely not a winger who can make a living on his speed at the highest level. But he is a heck of a lot quicker and faster than someone like Eriksen or even Bruno. And what is that comment about how Manchester United cannot expect to control the ball at this early stage of ETH's project? Really, might "sound" plausible, but that is just not in touch of reality and seem to come from someone who just don't watch/understands football as well as they do a FIFA computer game or stats or whatever. Its certainly something ETH likes to see imrpoved, 100%. But we of course regularly control the ball and slow down the pace to move up a ton of players into offensive positions -- in order to get the opponent to sink really deep -- to get those prolonged segments of offensive pressure. That comment is really only makes any kind of sense if we looked like Everton under ETH, or perhaps against Arsenal/City.

I watch him weekly and whilst he is quickly becoming the stand out player in the Championship he is not ready to i9mpact upon the first team. The best thing for SAFC, MUFC and the boy is to give him another 6 months under Mowbray. He is coming on in leaps and bounds at Sunderland.

Thanks for the reply. I did think about mentioning what you wrote. No doubt he's been on fire since late October. Very happy for him.

I agree - bringing him back here would be a bad idea right now as he would just be wasted on the bench and have 10-15 min cameos

Ohhh, should have been 1-0 there by Diallo after he was gifted a ball by the GK, but put it wide. Lovely start to the game by him though overall.

Boro aren't a bad team, but Sunderland is playing a really good game. What a contrast to what Birmingham showed yesterday...

He is looking very good so far. Nice touches. Feels like he will get an assist or a goal.

Think he'd link up well with Sancho and Antony. If we get rid of VDB and Elanga he'll be a decent rotation option with Bruno and are other right wingers.

He's never going to play so well out on loan that he'll automatically claim a starting spot so it's a question of when he's ready to challenge from the bench.

Not watching but seems like you guys are watching a different game to those on the Sunderland forum

- Diallo having a mare but still feel like he'll have a moment of quality.
- Diallo not looking too confident
- If only Fiallo could tome those rins a tad better
- Diallo been absolutely terrible so far.
- Ahmad only running on 60% magic so far.
- You could argue that Diallo is having both a good game and an absolute stinker.

Don't read the match thread on RedCafe when we are playing.

He did lose the ball a couple of times cheaply since my post. Overall I would still say he's having a good game but is lacking in end product.

Meh, is having an average game, looks lazy.

Maybe he's a bit gassed?

We'll have quite some competition for our RW spot if he continues like this.

Will be interesting who be ETH's preferred choice next season between him, Antony, Sancho and Pellestri(seems like he wants to stay and seems to have talent).

I know Pellestri gets occasionally compared to David Silva but Amad plays more like the Spaniard.

Even in his short spells for us Amad's passing was proactive and beautifully weighted.

He has serious potential.
