You can all sugar coat you want, but thats just a bad management from him. So Short term thinking.
So what possible reason did he have for bringing Rashford on for the last 20 or so minutes. The game was won. We had other options. It was completely unnecessary from a result point of view. Either we have a complete retard of a manager who brings on tired players for 20 minutes for no reason or Rashford isn't tired and he wanted him to get the game time for positive reasons.

Sometimes you have to think about why someone might do something apparently silly in order to realise that its not silly and your assumptions are incorrect.

The game wasn't won, it was 0-0 at the time even if the ties wasn't, it could also be that ETH wanted a quick look at how a potential frontline might work with Sandro as the 10 feeding Martial and Rashford

You’re messing? The food in incredible.
Bah!

From a Manchester Confidential review: "Tattu is a flashy, highly-manicured drinking den for people of a certain disposable income who fancy a bit of pretty looking food to wash down their showy and expensive booze." Agree 100%. If I want decent Chinese food in Manchester there are loads of places I'd rather go, all of which (even the overpriced ones) are cheaper.

Plus I like my food as authentic as possible. "Fusion" stuff is neither one thing nor the other, unless it's evolved naturally (e.g. French/Vietnamese).

LVG had more or less the right idea with Wings, though even that's a bit showy.

overpriced and pretty looking it is, and there’s a time and place for that else things like fine dining would not exist, but it can’t be said that the food isn’t delicious. Erik was spotted there with RVP hence my post.

Try Aplus oriental in china town.

Ah ok. Well food in Holland is generally dull, so I suppose anything is better :)

Will do! I’m a big fan of Happy Seasons, but since the MEN banged on about how good it is, it’s hard to get in. One Plus on Charles Street is great for hot pot.

Momentum is very important. Rashford, so far, has proved to be a momentum player. Him getting 2 assists in such a short period will keep him in high confidence for the coming games. That’s not even a controversial decision, let alone bad management.
So the momentum would have broken if he hadn't brought Rashy on ? I mean, this guy played 75 mins on Saturday and we have 8 games in 28 days including a final.

Not saying you are wrong but I can't possibly agree with it.

The more we win, the more confidence we gain. The fact is, after that blip vs Palace and Arsenal, we've won 3 in a row and are looking good yet again.

OK if you don’t agree. I’m not here to defend ETH, and I don’t need to. Given the response you’ve gotten, it’s pretty clear that your view is definitely in the minority here (maybe you’re the only one here who has that same view)

The fact he’s now sharing jokes with Keane makes me think he’s the one we’ve been waiting for since Sir Alex retired even more..the thought of Poch or Conte doesn’t even bear thinking about

Sure changed his tune from the Ronaldo saga hasn't he? I think now he's got over that he can see ETH is the real deal.

Best manager in world football at the moment imho, and what he’s achieved for us in the short space of time is truly remarkable.
His handling of seriously complex issues, Ronaldo, Maguire etc during a period with the owners looking to sell is truly exemplary. He doesn’t resort to the Pep, Klopp habit of openly attacking referees, neither does he berate the governing body over fixture congestion, complain about televised game schedules, or moan about injuries constantly. He just gets on with it and strives for perfection.

He’s an obsessive personality type and appears to be of sound and rational character. We’ve got the right man, I’m convinced of that, and boy do we deserve it after the string of managers and mismanagement at board level we’ve had since SAF.

Spot on. I'd love to see where the club would be if we got an ETH equivalent right after Fergie retired.

I think if we got Guardiola in at that time would probably have been the one to just continue upon what Sir Alex left and won title after title but it's all pointless speculation. We now have what so far looks like a good fit and certainly the best appointment post Sir Alex.

Yeah after a decade of bad decisions we are finally making some good ones and am confident we will reap the benefits soon

Shame we couldn't get there before Bayern, anyway that's in the past now so need to just focus on the future.

I think he has earnt the right to make his own decisions and he has more information available to him than we do.

I love the way Keane can barely suppress a smile when ETH is talking about high standards. Music to his ears.
He looks like a proud grandad while listening to Erik. :D

He wanted Rashford to have some minutes combining with Sancho and Martial. The attacking give and gos come from time together on the pitch and that's what he's trying to build. We need better attacking fluidity and combination play.

I think that with Woodward calling the shots we’d have struggled whoever had been appointed.

That’s not to say ETH isn’t The One though.

Marcus has played 60, 70, and 30 minutes the past 3 matches. He and others are staying sharp because they are not training as hard or at all compared to the bench players.

EtH and staff have treated the cup ties as high level training sessions for Marcus and other starters. The past week has maintained the tempo and rhythm.

The issue here is the other team won't be treating this as high level training sessions, they will go out there and not hold back. It's always a dangerous game to play your players heavy minutes in every single game and it could backfire. It has worked out so far (save for Eriksen's injury) but it is still a strategy I have some reservations towards. If we lose Casemiro in a dead rubber cup game for example, people will go crazy and rightly so.

United cruised those games though. I’d say they’ve had harder Training sessions between themselves

It just takes one idiot with an inferiority complex to make someone miss two months of football even if you're cruising up until that point.

Even more of a reason why they don't need to play every minute of all these games. Even your youngsters would be able to see those games off, and all it takes is one moment where Jonjo Shelvey decides he doesn't feel like watching Casemiro pass to Bruno and back. Games against any opponent are always far more competitive than trainings, regardless of score.

It has worked out very well so far and the team is improving so I don't mind it anyway, and people absolutely love that too but all it takes is a couple of moments and it could go from 'OMG this is so amazing, such a beautiful strategy LOL' to 'why the feck did we need to play them in every game'.

Then of course there's argument of letting your reserve players have some playing time so they can stay in form and rhythm. That is also quite important.
