One shot on target all of the second half. And it certainly wasn't that penalty. fecking pathetic.
That was absolutely awful. I just don't know what's going on with this team. Once again our top players did not turn up. A summer refresh much needed to shake this lot up.
They are shite.

Funny thing is we looked like we didn’t care second half.
We are the most streaky and mentally fragile teams in the league. When we're on a roll we can destroy anyone - Rangers, Bournemouth, Man City, Real Madrid 1st half, and Man Utd 2nd half all felt the full force of this talented team. This team remind me of the spice boys team of the 90s - they will thrill at times but always ultimately let you down.
We were good for 15 minutes though so that's a positive.
Our only hope of top 4 is if a team out-shits us to 5th and 6th. Spurs COULD do that, you never know
Over hyped, arrogant prima donna's.

Insipid all over the pitch with an awful attitude. No suprise really, we've seen this dross far too often this season.

Senior players have continuously let us down. Trent, Van Dijk, Fabinho and Mo were simply awful today. A reminder to all that changes in personal and attitude are needed in the summer.
They should be truly fecking ashamed of themselves. That, after last week, was completely unforgiveable. They made absolutely clear that they now turn up when they want and feck everything else. City earlier in the season, Utd last week but they can't be fecked to play every week!!

This team is done! We need a huge clear out. Honestly wouldn't care if it included Van Dijk and Mo at this stage.

Truly fecking shameful today from this team.
...
The 7-0 got to their fecking heads. They just don’t fecking learn do they.
Also watching some of those players when we’re chasing a game is excruciating
Rubbish, it had nothing to do with the 7-0 getting in their heads or anything to do with United. This is now our level and has been all season.
...
The attitude of some of our lads absolutely stinks. Just awful and has been all season. They show up in a big game, believe all the arse kissers telling them they’re awesome again and then swan around against relegation fodder like they’re owed the world. And the manager needs to acknowledge his part in it because he’s had long enough to stamp it out.
That fecking swirly trippy kit if absolute shite, should never been seen in it again.
How can they go and play like that after Sunday!? How is it possible ffs!!!!!!
How is Milner not taking that penalty?
I feel for the travelling kop. That’s 3 trips all the way down to the south coast since Christmas to be rewarded with those performances. Disgrace.
Disgracefully poor performance. Absolutely disgusted. They all should be embarrassed by that, if they have any shame.
Shocking stuff. feck off with that shite
...
They are shite.
Funny thing is we looked like we didn’t care second half.
Saving ourselves for a 5-0 win against Real Madrid
...
Nice of us to show support for Lineker by downing tools as well
...
The subs were clearly made with the Madrid game in mind. No point crying about them. We have 1 chance against Madrid compared to 12 chances in the league.
We're 5-2 down against Real Madrid. We're going out. The priority has to be the League and getting back into the CL next season.
Who the feck cares about Madrid we’re not beating them 4-0 at theirs why the feck would we throw this game to focus on that. Nonsense.
Not one of those players started today. The problems we have at the moment run much deeper than individual players.
...
Keita
Oxlade-Chamberlain
Milner
Henderson
Matip
Firminho
Philips
Arthur

All gone next season

We need a mass clear out
Based on that performance you could safely add another 6 or 7 to that list. I get what your saying though and obviously we can't get rid of that many before anyone chimes in.
...

I had checked out after the pounding Brighton gave us. Was getting to wound up. They have pulled me back in over the last month or so. Last week was incredible. Yet here we are again. Sick of this Jekyll and Hyde nonsense. Most of these seem to have lost the fight or lost their edge.

What a shit start to the weekend.
Classic mid table attitude to only turn on the effort for the big games
Well that renaissance was a short one. Back to the old, tepid, uninspiring football I see.
Last week not worth a wank if it’s followed by that utter arsehole of a performance.
Please stop with the shit attempts to mask it or kid yourself by saying this result will help relegate Everton etc etc

That was fecking shameful when top 4 is there for the taking
Not our day. Last week everything went in. Today we could have had an open goal at 5 yards and missed. Shite all over the place.
Well normal service has resumed!!!! what a pile of horse dung. Just didn't look interested, even when salah was ready to take the pen i knew we wouldn't score.
Reverted to type
Bloody hell, that interview from Jürgen, he's really lost patience with them now. Couldn't think of anything positive to say
At one point I just couldn't believe what I'm watching. If this team was playing in some 3rd world country, i would have thought this is some sort of match fixing. Laughable performance
...
Salah is one of the most frustrating players to watch. World class one week, dogshit the next
What the feck was that penalty? He should not be taking penalties if he is this shite at them.
Van Dyks attitude was 'nonchalant' to put it kindly.
You cannot go on from 7-0 to this within a week without a major attitude problem in the squad.
Anybody who puts “Mo Salah” and “dog shit” in the same sentence needs to be put down.
...
And after Madrid our next 3 games are likely City, Chelsea & Arsenal......ah well.
We've been better against top teams. We beat City and lost to Leeds.
Fair point - but our away form has been shite and City & Chelsea are away.....I'm not that hopeful after today.
We’ve beaten Spurs and Newcastle away and could have easily got points at Arsenal. The only terrible away performance against the top 4 was United when we played a terrible midfield.
Those are the type of matches we excel at. We could win all three League matches.
And beat RM while we're at it.
I can see us winning all of those to be honest. Then we'll lose to some shite
...
Don’t think we’ve won a game this season that has had a Sat 12:30 KO
It's not the kickoff time. We're just not that good
...
It’s the age old problem that we’ve seen pre-klopp - players cannot be asked to turn up unless it is a massive game
Its all about attitude we are only turning up for certain games beat City, Spurs and Newcastle home and away should have beaten Arsenal and them lot last week.
When they can be bothered there isn't many better but games like today they stink.
Everyones talking about big game mentality, but noone struggles with focusing against Man Utd.

We need more small game mentality, the ability to focus and grind out wins match after match. Thats what wins you league titles
United make it easy. There’s no way Bournemouth push up so high that Salah can run at their CB like he did with Martinez. Or so that Salah can turn Cancelo and be in on goal. We don’t have the right players.
...
Is it desire or just the simple fact that when it comes to a midfield battle we only have teenagers and pensioners.
When we were winning the big trophies we dominated midfield week in week out. In their pomp Fab, Gini and Hendo had a combination of ball winning in Fab, athleticism in Hendo and press resistance in Gini that dominated teams.
Stick that midfield in their pomp in that game today and we win comfortably. The midfield was that bad today we ended up playing basically with attack and defence
how do you explain last week in that case??
Utd pressed high, left spaces and made mistakes, Bournemouth had way more bodies behind the ball which completely changes the dynamic.
Last week the midfield battle was essentially competing with a crocked and aging Casamiro, Fred and and a petulant Fernandez's
Souness and Keane showed more midfield nous that them three
Last week United gave up. This week Bournemouth didn’t. You expect the bottom clubs to fight for every ball and to defend for their lives. Today we showed very little desire to match them and thought that our superior ability would win out.
...
It really fecking annoys me that they'll all(manager and staff included) have seen what Bournemouth almost did to Arsenal last week and yet they have still decided to take them lightly
...
Top 4 isn't the be all and end all, look at where Arsenal are without top 4. Big summer ahead.
It kind of is though, missing out is a ready made excuse for the owners to not invest yet again
The difference is Arsenals owners have been happy to spend some of their own money to strengthen their squad over the past couple of years. Our owners won't do that. The usual excuses will come out if we don't finish in the top 4
Arsenal have had a Leicester of a season IMO. They have had luck and mostly had an injury free season (other than Jesus).
They are very good but I wouldn't be surprised if they were battling for top 6 again next season. Depends on who strengthens from us, City, United, Spurs.
There is no way they can't reinvest if we don't make top four.
They'll spend money, but it won't be theirs and it will be less than what they would have given us if we don't make the top 4. Happy to be proven wrong by them though.
...
Someone said it's 12 points out of 39 available in away games, which is relegation level return.
I simply don’t understand us any longer. Just honestly can’t comprehend how we go from that game to this in six days
The one possible good spot could be if we're out of Europe we will have a bit more time to conserve our energy for the remaining games. Or maybe try different systems in training especially for those games against the lower teams, that we're having issues with now.
We won't be out of Europe, we'll be playing a load of crap Thursday night games followed by Sunday afternoons unless we pull the plug now.
Pitiful. Onward to Thursday night football.
...
Teams know where the spaces are, they don't need time to get their heads up and worry about our press, we're predictable now.
So how come United couldn't deal with it last week? They should have known how to play us if we're as predictable as you are claiming.
First half they did and had their chances, a world class goal gave us the lead and frankly Uniteds heads fell off. It happens.
...
Leeds , Forest and now today…I can handle losing to teams you should beat but you don’t get outfought and outrun and show less desire than them…
Today was fecking shameful too many players were smelling themselves over last week when as much as we will revel in beating Utd the truth is if they had taken the lead in that game we would have folded like a pack of cards like we always do when going a goal behind
Had a hunch this would happen today. The universe had to balance things out. We gorged on too much giggles with that 7-0 tonking of Man Utd.
Still a bit shit and average. Last weekend was the anomaly

It's funny how shocked they are. They were convinced they were amazing last weekend when it was all down to us being a disgrace.

At least they all agree that last week isn’t worth anything now. Hear that PL record keepers? Make it 3-0 to Liverpool and we’ll pretend Salah scored that penalty

Tinfoil hat time. Maybe Klopp got them to throw the game against Bournemouth as a quid pro quo. They gift 3 invaluable points to a team in a relegation dogfight, and that same team turns around and single handedly funds Liverpool's summer transfer spending by paying ridiculous sums of money for their deadwood. Remember Jordan Ibe and Dominic Solanke?

They were nowhere near as good as the result suggests last week, they were playing their biggest game of the season against their biggest rivals on their own ground yet couldnt manage a single shot on target until they scored in the 43rd minute which shows how good they really were.

We played right in to their hands last week by making silly mistakes, giving the ball away in in dangerous area's, and doing very little to try to win the ball back when we didnt have it.

They laughed at our title challenge lasting a few days. Well, at least our top 4 challenge didn't have the same fate.

If Newcastle and Brighton can win their games in hand, it’s back to 7th!

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Of course it was a false dawn. Many tried to insinuate that after last weeks disastrous display but it was obvious that it was nothing but a freak result.

I can see Newcastle deflating for the reminder of the season sadly :( Feckers can‘t buy a goal even with their £65m striker who sits on the bench strangely.

3 points behind spurs with a better goal difference of 6 goals. Will be absolutely fuming if these feckers get top 4 on goal difference. Really need them to lose the 4 games now including Madrid.

Wins in those games will give them confidence.

Edit: provided they win their game in hand.

Pictures like this are a bit dumb when you’ve used an actual recent picture of them parading the Champions League.
Flipping heck, you’re a proper laugh.

It’s a bit hard finding a bus parade picture which doesn’t involve a cup final win.

They haven't got too many recent Bus Parades to choose from to be fair.
