Fantastic news. We’ve missed his creativity and ability to control the midfield. We’ve got very good options for centre mid for the rest of the season now, with Sabitzer available to us too.

ETH has a real boner for Eriksen. Big words. I guess it's easy to see why with his technical quality that is in short supply with the other options.

Quite a dramatic recovery, he must have a very compliant body to outdo the initial prognosis like that. Not a bad thing when you get into your 30s as it's quite likely to pick up some injuries but good recovery helps.

Ideal scenario is he's available in that long Casemiro ban period.
Although the last 3 games of that are over 6 days in early April!

Amazing news! Having a fresh Casemiro and Eriksen in midfield will be vital in April&May.

The idea that he could potentially be back for the next league match is pretty incredible. Now, just need some news on Martial and Garnacho.

Hope he can stay healthy for the rest of the season.

He is vital, with him I am confident we can get 3rd and may be one more final/cup.

He's criminally underrated on here.

He's been a fecking great signing, especially on a free, and I think we've really missed him. Casemiro and Eriksen is a top quality partnership.

He was generally really good before the injury (yes he had some bad games too- the 6-3 to City being one example) but I think he has 9 assists this season and we looked more composed with him in the team. Him coming back will help us a lot.

There were tons of posts on here saying he was lightweight

See

@Rightnr , you posted in that thread for feck sake. Was that all in your head?
Fair enough. That was after the Arsenal loss though and after defeats all of our players are League Two level according to the caf. Also classic caf that when a player is injured they seem to become better all of a sudden. Quite a few saying that he struggles to have an impact after the hour mark which I agree with. But he's been a brilliant free signing and brings so much to our build-up play. Delighted to see him back soon.

You forget how great he is. Was fantastic for Spurs and we are so much more creative with him in our 11.

I do not take kindly to people lying.

Care to quote what I wrote in that thread that supports your lie?

Seriously think some on here either need to see a psychiatrist or an English teacher. Or even both.

What are you on about ?

I said loads of people on here called Eriksen lightweight, you said it was a strawman and I showed you evidence of people calling him lightweight.

I never said you called him lightweight, just that you posted in that thread so you should know it wasn't something I was making up, you weirdo.

You really do love making stuff up, don't you? Where exactly in the below did you say you called him lightweight and where did I agree. Go on, tell me?

Might be time to book that English teacher.

And btw, I do think that general thread had a good point. The fact he might not be suited to playing the big games where we need more energy in midfield is not the same as 'not rating' or 'underrating' him. Either learn some nuance or stop misquoting others.

He's criminally underrated on here.

Who's not rating him?

You seriously cannot read.

I said he was severely underrated on here, @top1whoisman asked who doesn't rate him? and so I showed him a recent thread full of posters slagging Eriksen off and calling him lightweight. @top1whoisman said fair enough and we ended up agreeing with one another.

That's all this was, it's just that you interjected with a load of bollocks.

Gives me hope he may well be able to feature earlier than Forest on Apr 15

Will be a huge benefit for Casemiro to have him back, since it feels like he is trying to do too much at times in the absence of Eriksen.

So apparently if you post in a thread, you agree with it? Or did you, you know, not read again?

Stop trying to weasel out of making it up as you go.

Finally I can stop being nervous with our midfielders trying to find a teammate! Hopefully this means less pressure for Casemiro to play a dangerous ball

Let’s be honest here, he goes missing in big, heavy intensity matches. He just doesn’t have the legs to be in an 8 position.

Let’s hope he continues to make up for it in his vision.

He never said you agreed with it. He said you posted in the thread of people calling him lightweight etc etc so how can you accuse him of creating a strawman when you posted in the very thread he was referencing.

For me, calling someone lightweight does not mean you don't rate them.

The thinking has been that Eriksen lacks the physicality to provide the backbone in big games when our midfield needs to do the heavy lifting. That is not to say he is a bad player, just that he is not suited to certain games (in some people's opinion).

In any case, I have a huge pet hate with people going 'I cannot believe people didn't rate him' and so creating a made-up narrative to support their 'better' club support and making it out that somehow they saw something others didn't. The worst example of that is the idiocy from that Rashford thread by quoting stuff from a year ago when things looked completely differently.

If someone wants to make sweeping statements that are not backed up by the actual message, they shouldn't go crying when there's push-back and I'll leave it at that.
