Garnacho vs Pelestri vs Amad, who will be better?

I think Pellistri has done really well but he's a level below Amad and Garnacho imo. I'd like to see him become a squad player for us in the future though. Amad and Garnacho is an interesting one. Amad has made massive steps forward this season imo and I'm really excited to see what he can offer in the PL next season (whether that's for us or on loan). That being said, Garnacho is playing at a pretty extraordinary level for a player of only 18. Amad in comparison was nowhere near that level at the same age. I feel like Garnacho is already good enough to be a starter for quite a few PL teams, which is saying a lot because of how much talent there is in the bottom half of the Prem.

In 5 years you could make the argument it will be Amad because he will be entering his prime, but I personally feel like Garnacho will have surpassed him even by then. It would be pretty incredible to have a situation where we have Garnacho on one flank and Amad on the other though. Hoping all 3 continue developing at the rate they currently are. Elanga seems to have gone way backwards unfortunately (though I don't think he ever had the technical ability that the other 3 have tbh). Sounds like he'll be getting a loan next season and we'll probably make a decision on his future based on that. I had pretty much given up on Amad reaching the required level to play for us before his Sunderland loan so maybe Elanga can similarly take the chance.

Garnacho is tier 1 product from our academy similar to Greenwood, Rashford. Has the potential to be world class.

Pellistri, Amad are tier 2 product similar to McT. Very useful squad player and could contribute well to the team.

I wouldn't say Amad was "tier 2" whatever that really means. You can't really say what his full potential is yet. But he was extremely rated at youth level across Europe. There could be loads to come from him, saying exactly what role he could be limited to seems like nonsense.

Doesn't make sense to compare with McTominay who wasn't even extremely highly rated at the club. He was physically advanced, got an opportunity with some fortune (which is more important than people realise) and has probably made the most out of limited ability. You're comparing untapped potential with lots of question marks over it with a guy who was quite limited in talent.

Personally I would be of the opinion Garnacho and Amad are fantastic talents in different ways. Completely different players and both have impressed in different ways. Garnacho in bits and pieces for the first team and Amad has a solid Championship season under his belt as a key player. Pellistri I would put lower because he's had opportunities on loan and it hasn't really materialised in much.

Its tricky. Apparently most would choose Garnancho, that what I would choice too.

But let me explain abit more...

Garnancho has Rashford ahead of him, while Pellistri and Amad only has Antony/Sancho ahead of them.

We all know Rashford is by far our best attacker whereas Antony/Sacho hasn't really find their feet in the team yet.

Don't like hyping up kids. They'll considered potential squad fillers until they've proven otherwise by being better than that.

I'd say Garnacho, Pellistri is great at beating a man on the outside but his finishing and crossing is very meh. Garnacho is quicker, can go on the inside and outside, can finish strong with his right, and is useful with his left foot. He can beat a man both sides, and is more explosive.

Pellistri can still make it here as a squad player, he deserves the chance I think.
I'm not even sure Pellistri can be classed as great at beating a man. Almost every appearance has been against tired opposition chasing a game with loads of space.

I really like Amad but right now it seems like Garnacho is very highly thought of by Ten Hag and will get a lot of opportunities.

It really is impossible to predict but I would say

Garnacho > Amad > Pellistri

This would be my order for chances of making it at United. All of them have a chance though

I don't care. What I want to see in the next two years is this:

Rashford
Garnacho Amad Pellestri
Would be beautiful. It's not all that likely they all make it but they're all good players, it's not impossible.

Jesse Lingard is by far the better prospect. After his loan at Forest he will come back to tear the league appart. He will be the best young player the club has ever produced. By the virtue of being young forever.

Garnacho for me. He's already had performances where you are just willing the club to do whatever it takes to secure him on a long term contract. Amad and Pellistri have shown glimpses of what they could be capable of but haven't really done enough yet to suggest that they're anywhere near ready to play a bigger role for the club.

Garnacho and Amad. I dont think pellistri will make it in the first team long term unless he drastically improves his passing and the play with his weaker left foot. I just think fans will eventually run out of patience with him especially if they are struggling to give sancho time.

I think Garnacho will be the better player but I don't know if any of them will be United level.

I've watched him prior to this season, for Alaves, Uruguay and in the youth. It's one of his strengths.

From what I've seen Amad looks the best out of them technically.

Garnacho seems to have the best physical attributes.

Pellistri has that quick turn of pace and low centre of gravity ala David Silva.

In summary, I have no clue.

Pellistri

Edit. I agree its very early on and hard to tell.
Amad: seems to me the "smartest" player out of the three with the best technique
Garnacho: I love his fighting spirit and his direct style of play, he can be very effective but sometimes runs into players
Pellistri: looked promising, but the few minutes he played I wasnt much focused on the game so I cant really tell, but id like to see him playing more

I think Amad is quite overhyped on here - no doubt he is a talented youth doing really well in the Championship but so did Cleverley and Lingard in the past and they didn't turn out to be world beaters. Playing in the EPL is a different kettle of fish.

Garnacho looks to be a far more explosive winger than the other two and will likely go further, but you never know considering their young ages. I think Pellistri could surprise a few.

Its a tricky one

Garnacho - proving it premier league, explosive pace and gets past players easily

Amad - technically the best of the 3 but still needs to prove himself in the premier league

Pellistri - long way for him to go. He needs the most coaching among the 3

Whos to say who will be here in 5 years? Garnacho goes the same path as Ronaldo, it wouldnt surprise me if he doesnt end up at RM, maybe Barca. Amad hasnt played at premier level for a period of time, nor Pelestri, so ts hard to judge them yet.

Garnacho is not a product of your academy. Good young player but needs to have a barber fix his hair. Blonde isn’t a good look on him.

Garnacho has made the biggest impression so far in the first team and that is how it stands at the moment.
Garnacho definitely looks like the one with the most goals in him and Amad looks like he could be the best all round footballer if he can take his form to the Premier League stage. Pellistri could be the real hard working assist maker while not attracting the attention of the other two but vital to any top team.

Garnacho is the most impactful player. Pelestri has a more rounded game based on his few appearances in the WC and minutes for the club. I'm not sure Amad will make it at United or in the Premiership due to its physicality.

PS: I've not seen Garnacho make a decent contribution in the first half of a game. His best efforts and goals have been when attacking the Stretford End.

Dig up stupid!
Has to be Garnacho

He's the one playing most often at the highest level despite being the youngest. He produces in what the kids would call 'clutch' moments. Direct, aggressive, fearless. I also like the fact he's got that air of a bastard about him

Very excited about him, he's filled the void of he who should not be named nicely

The others look promising but I'm not sure they'll make it here long term

No contest. Garnacho.
Agree. In all honesty it's not even a contest, at least with Amad, and Pellestri (admittedly in less time) hasn't shown anywhere near as much ability.

@Jules_T mainly the difference at least with Amad is 1) that turn of speed / physicality. Amad will never have that. He will HAVE to compensate -massively- technically to even be in the same breath. Januzaj was similar - had a brain and technical ability but not "more" than faster players.

2) that eye for goal. It's a natural ability that some players have and some don't. Scoring ANY goal is -hard- in football. See: Richarlison. Garnacho always looks like he's got a goal in him, doesn't matter who it's against. Pellestri hasn't got that I don't think, maybe he can grow into it, but it's a lottery with players. Amad does have an eye for goal but not to the level Garnacho does, so he's better here than Pellestri arguably but it's hard to say really.

Could be wrong and they could all be world beaters but Garnacho has more about him than maybe any of our youth players have for a while. I'd even argue the case he's got more than Greenwood had (though obv Greenwood would score points on (2) there).

I think Pelistri will show us what he has got if he is given a few games to play. I have a sneaking suspicion that he can beat players on the inside and outside. He may surprise us.

Well considering garnacho is in and around the squad at a younger age then the other 2 then this shouldn’t even be a debate. Think amad will become a really good player though and can rotate with Antony next season for RW. Pellestri looks pretty decent too and would be a good squad option. I think pellestri and amad would be decent AMs because they’ve both got the dribbling technique and vision.

He’s a lot less greedier than greenwood but greenwood came from a ST background and got converted into a RW. Greenwood’s finishing was something els, every time he hit it you knew it was going in or on target. Garnacho has got decent ability and can beat players better and he’s also looking for assist and knows when to pass.

Amad for me. Garnacho has the better physical tools currently but isn't even close in terms of technique.

Garnacho then Amad then Pellistri. I’m unsure if any of them will be first choice starters but Garnacho looks like he has the tools.

They are all very young, give them a little more time.

Seems we are only looking at ability. There are other factors like motivation, passion, determination, ambition, adaptability, coach's favourite boy and character that will determine a players rise. Let's not forget injuries and scandals, hopefully they'll all have injury free careers.

Garnacho is the obvious choice at the moment, seems the most confident of the lot. Someone else would have been in this category if he hadn't been banned.
Amad and Pellistri are also very talented players but not as confident. Not sure they have fully adapted to a different culture especially Pellistri.

My thoughts back then when I saw supremely talented Adriano and Obafemi Martins, then at Inter Milan at a similar age bracket with the aforementioned players were going to dominate the world of football but to my utter amazement, they just fizzled out of the spotlight.

They are really young players and should be protected. I think they're all going to have great careers under the tutelage of Eth. Garnacho is the man of the moment.

Next to impossible to judge at this point. Obviously, Garnacho has made the first big leap considering he's the youngest amognst the three and already getting minutes in the first team. But personally, for me, I think Amad. He can play on the RW (A position that's got very little cover at United and maybe in general, can even play at No 10). He isn't rapid, but has a lot of qualities that are very mature for his age. Even if he doesn't make it at United (Which I really hope isn't the case), think he's likely to be the better amongst the three in terms of Goals+Assists output.

As much as I like Facundo and admire his effort/hardwork, his pure natural ability might not be at the level of the other two, but I think he can have a pretty decent career too.
