By the way - in Transfermarkt it been written there that he's 6'3(1.91) but on TV he really doesn't look like in that height

We most likely will need two strikers this summer: Osinhem/Kane + backup. He would be great for £30m.

Two of the hottest young striker prospects in European football are passionate United fans. If we don't end up with either of them I'll be upset.

Any Danish reds want to give us an honest opinion on the lad? Have to admit I've never heard of him.

Great at shooting and a very aggressive striker. I guess he does remind me a lot of Haaland in many ways. Hard worker in the press as well but not as great in link up play as martial imo.

Who’s the other? Would be great if we could sign someone like this who hits the ground running and saves us a fortune on a Kane or Osimhen

I'm sold. He won't be as expensive as Kane or Osimhem and we would still have enough for a quality midfielder.

Ferguson, who recently admitted that he grew up as a United supporter and used to watch current teammate Danny Welbeck, is widely considered as one of the most exciting prospects in the Premier League.

Anyone know whether Ekstra Bladet is reliable?
Quite, but I'm pretty sure they haven't written anything about concrete United interest. I can't find it and it would have been all over the Danish press.

It's 2023 buddy. They will look at the Isak fee from Real Sociedad to Newcastle and demand something similar around 60-70 mio.

Haaland took his first "foreign" steps in the austrian Bundesliga before breaking through. Höjlund was considered sub par at FC Copenhagen and went to Austria as well. Same story as Haaland. He was soon to big for the league and was transferred for 17 million Euros to Atalanta. The real breakthrough has come in the last couple of months. He is much hyped at the moment, with confirmed interest from Arsenal, Newcastle, Napoli, Juventus and both Milan Clubs. Even Real is rumoured to look at him as a possible Benzema successor.

Italian transfer journalists claim that Atalanta are looking for 50 million Euros to let him go.

Rasmus Højlund ist left footed, extremely aggressive at pressing and strong in the air. He makes intelligent runs (look at the 1-0 goal against Finland). He is not as clinical as Haaland (yet?) and likes to drop deep at times. His link up play is very strong. A footnote. Rasmus Højlund was clocked at 10.8 seconds at 100 m in training at Atalanta. After being told the time, he claimed, that he stopped sprinting around the 90 meter mark. A man for the future. Yes. Højlund is aware that needs to play to evolve. He likes being at Atalanta and won´t go anywhere to be a back up.

I've a feeling ETH will sign someone like this rather than Osimhen or Kane. Someone younger and cheaper he can develop

I like him a lot but he is in the same boat as Ferguson and Sesko etc in that their quality and talent is undeniable but they need regular gametime to keep developing. Which they won't get here. But if they wait to move, and they continue to progress they will be prohibitively expensive.

Philip Billing of Bournemouth said Højlund should move to United when asked which Premier League club Højlund should look to join.

He and Kolo Muani are easily our most realistic targets for CF this summer. We have next to no chance at either Kane or Osimhen.

Yeah I get you, but I believe that he'd get a lot of minutes here if we were to sign him. He would easily replaces the minutes Wout is getting at the moment.

But he won't be our starting striker. We will buy someone like Kane/Osimhen/Ramos etc. How much game time will he get behind that main striker is the question.

He is physically strong, fast, a good left foot and is good at heading. He actually has everything that a no. 9 must have.

He has been very good in 2023 for Atlanta in Serie A, scoring many goals.Last summer they bought him from Sturm Graz, where he was really good. They had bought from Danish FC Copenhagen, who did not see him as quite good enough. He has developed explosively this season, and it is a little surprising how fast the development has gone.

The article is right that he is a United fan, and he has previously stated that his dream is to play for Manchester United.

He is already a far better striker than Weghorst, but not as good as Rashford. In type, he resembles Haaland, but not as good yet.

I actually believe in him and would like to see him come to United. We need a no. 9, and Højlund is young, 20 years old, and he can become really, really good.

Bonus info: He has 3 younger brothers, who are in FC Copenhagen's youth department, and two of them (twins) has started to get a place on the bench for first team matches.

Which is why we should buy him now (before his price explodes) and leave him on loan at Atalanta for another year. They’ll probably have European footy next year.

I can promise you he does not run 100m sub 11 and certainly not 10.8 whilst slowing at 90m in track and field. If I showed you the guys who run that fast in other sports you would probably change your mind. even Romhmedahl said his times were exaggerated. He was actually and 11.5 100m runner. Only NFL WR, CB RBs be hitting those 10.# but these dudes were often the fastest in their entire country as high schoolers and genuine track stars who chose Football. As an example, there is a list of NFL players who whilst at HS, ran track times equal to British youth national track records even today

I think it was Gasperini who said he was sub 11 seconds (without trying hard apparently). But let's see, he's definitely fast.
