Great goal! Not only the strike, but his whole movement was fantastic! And good decision not to pass to Wout.

I’m so pleased for this kid and United. He’s going the cement that left side for himself next season.

Reminder that all his best performances have been in late sub appearances against tired defences. When he's started he's usually been underwhelming.

Exciting talent, and a superb option off the bench, but let's keep perspective.

I think, "people" is a bit too much as I haven't seen anybody except me using the name. And for the record, with Januzaj, people as well thought he'd be the real deal. Only for PL defenders to prepare for him and him not capable of raising his level above. Not a dig at Januzaj. But young players are curious things - I am happy, we have Garnacho, lets try to be as reasonable as possible. Will get more than enough attention by United fans, giving him a famous number will bring him attention of rival fans just as well. And iirc he already showed that public pressure gets to him - let him grow and mature. If nr.7 shirt stays in reserve for a little longer, so be it.
I’ve seen others compare players with januzai before plenty of times.

in terms of Garnacho and the no.7, I’d give it another year, see if he cements a first team place which I think he will.

The boy is quality and he reminds me a little of Ole in his finishing.
#7 for next season.

Nope. Dont ruin his trajectory to fulfill club's tradition that hasn't worked since 2009 anyway, if anything its a tradition synonymous with failure in the last decade. Currently theres nothing special about #7, it only adds pressure to the player. Owen, Valencia (RB), Di Maria, Sanchez, Depay, old Cavani, old Ronaldo. Pathetic list.

We’ve missed him. He’s such a good rotation option. And so devastating off the bench. Hoping he’ll take another step up over the next 12 months.

Played and took his goal well when he came on, offers us something different to Sancho or Antony
Better*

This kid might have just ended Sancho’s United career tbh. We just don’t need Rashford, Garnacho & Sancho all fighting it out for one place. Especially as it’s a battle that Jadon will never win. This kid is just special. Has all the ingredients to be a superstar. Erik has managed him brilliantly too.

There is definitely an argument to be had that he's better as a super-sub for now. He'll be our first choice LW in a couple of years though.

Garanacho is fantastic. Antony could learn a lot from him. I love how he will cut in if the option is there, but will also take his player wide. His goal today was a thing of beauty. I loved how he faked that he was coming back inside only to keep going wide. This kid is going to score at least 20 goals next season if given the chance. The way I see it, Sancho's starts should be going to him. He's earned it...

He makes overpaying for an aging Kane seem downright reasonable. Rashford-Kane-Antony for the next 2-3 years with Garnacho as the primary attacking sub, then Rashford moves central and Garnacho is first choice on the left.

Usually its said on here that people overstate player's abilities when they are out injured. In Garnacho's case it's extremely clear that we missed him so badly in the last few months.

In both Antony and Sancho threads there are hundreds of complaints about how they play, specifically what they don't do. Garnacho just represents what we all want to see in a Manchester United wide player.

Errors and mistakes will happen but the intent and directness of his game is in another world compared to the forwards we have other than Rashford.

Not sure why people bring Januzaj up when comparing with Garnacho, he was very under whelming for me and never lived up to the hype from day 1. Garnacho looks the real deal.
The exuberance of youth was what propelled Januzaj, he had no fear, and most people just remember that incredible goal he scored.

Hope we resist the temptation to start him and let him finish off the season with these decisive 20 minute bursts.

We’re not going to give him the 7 shirt, we use that number as a negotiation tactic when we’re signing new players so they can build their ‘brand’ around being United number 7.

We’re more likely to sign a big name on daft money and give them the shirt. Just continue the tradition of giving it to people who don’t deserve it for marketing purposes.

#7 is too soon and too much bad history, leave that pressure for someone else when Sancho leaves. I think he's perfect for #11. Even if by some miracle MG stays, he can take another jersey.

I think next season our wingers options are going to look different. Amad and Garnacho will compete for the first team spot with Antony and Sancho (if he is still here). And I'd have to say I trust Amad and Garnacho more than them... Amad never gave up despite being loaned multiple times, Garnacho is stuborn and has forced himself into the first team. Both has he mentality and it helps that they have been doing really well this season.

I think it's his attitude as much as his ability that lifts everyone when he comes on. That chest out bring it on attitude. We need more of that. God knows Sancho could do with a bit of it.

Lovely goal, but did he touch the ball other than that when on? Think people are going a bit overboard from yesterday. Almost all his best play has been against tired defences because he's outrageously direct and talented.

Keep using him as a super-sub for the next 4 for me.
