If we don't get a new rightback, it's silly to sell him as he can cover both FB sides. It's better to sell Malacia as he's no better than Dalot (probably worse) and can only be LB backup.

I prefer players like Malacia & Mctominay over a Dalot & Fred.

We know what we're getting with Malacia, he is a decent player who performs at the same level in every game. Saying that, it was his first season in the EPL and he may yet improve. Likewise with McTominay, average player but consistent - not saying am a fan of the player but he has his uses depending on the opposition.

Whereas with Dalot & Fred, you throw them in but you don't know which version of that player will turn up.

McTominay, seriously? The only thing he has is height. Fred is not good enough but he has more good games than McTominay. The amount of times this guy gets out marked in his own half is appalling.

I don't think Malacia and McTom are consistent. I don't know. I've seen Dalot's level this season (pre-WC). And I think that's good enough as squad player. With Malacia, all I see is potential (although he's 24 y.o., same as Dalot).

But who knows. Players improve (or not).

Maybe Malacia is consistently average, but certainly consistent in his display imo. Basically, you know what you're getting with him and McTom.

Yeah. I'm not too bother. I was just saying, if we don't get a new RB, it makes more sense to sell Malacia instead of Dalot (if we need to sell players).

I wonder where Álvaro Fernández fits in.

You get nothing with those two. Or to be precise; you get huge downgrade on first team player.
Dalot is not consistent but Dalot is a formula 1 for Malacia.
What exactly Malacia offers? He is zero threat in attack and only average in defence.

In ideal scenario, we will buy top class rb, sell/loan Malacia and move Dalot on left back. Having fb who can cover both sides is very handy to have.

We should sell him this summer and put money towards a new RB. Giving him a new contract on big wages will just make him harder to get rid of but way club is run that’s what is most likely to happen.

Dalot will be free in summer 2024. He could probably fetch just about 10m. And if i were him, i'd just hang around for another year and leave for free, if no substantial offer is coming.

That'll never happen. Not sure why would you think that is a good idea anyway.
He's not adding much to our overall quality and he will clearly never become nothing more than being a decent squad player. It would be more beneficial for both parties to move on.

Like I said, he may be avarage but atleast he's consistently average. You can play him against a weaker side. And besides, it's only his first season in the EPL.

I think Dalot is slightly above average, so certainly not an F1 imo.

Players like Lindelof, Dalot and Fred are just unpredictable in their performance.

Sell him. He is not so good at attacking that we can forgive his lack of defensive awareness. AwB has a much higher ceiling than him.

He has been disappointing since the World Cup.

There's not one area he is excellent at and he's not exactly either all-rounder like Shaw. He can't be anything more than a squad player going forward but I prefer if we just sold him.

Won 66% of his duels this season, more than any other RB in the league.

He also made more key passes than any of his fellow United defenders (54) and averaged the most crosses per game (1.71) when compared to our other full-backs.
