Lovely goal, but did he touch the ball other than that when on? Think people are going a bit overboard from yesterday. Almost all his best play has been against tired defences because he's outrageously direct and talented.
Sign of a good player. One chance, one goal. At this stage of his career, that’s what he need to do constantly too.

He's going to be fantastic for us in the long term, but his biggest moments have been off the bench.

Jumping to conclusions of "Left wing starter" and "#7' as choices next season is a bit rash. Brilliant talent though and I see him becoming more frightening next season.

We’re not going to give him the 7 shirt, we use that number as a negotiation tactic when we’re signing new players so they can build their ‘brand’ around being United number 7.

We’re more likely to sign a big name on daft money and give them the shirt. Just continue the tradition of giving it to people who don’t deserve it for marketing purposes.
Not completely impossible to say it might have been part of his recent contract negotiations too though. He has the number tattooed on him, it’s in his socials. He might wanna make sure he gets it

Yeah it’s hasty to give him the 7 shirt. He hasn’t put a run of starts and good performances in yet. That might be just around the corner.

A never-nude? I thought he just liked cut-offs.
I think next season our wingers options are going to look different. Amad and Garnacho will compete for the first team spot with Antony and Sancho (if he is still here). And I'd have to say I trust Amad and Garnacho more than them... Amad never gave up despite being loaned multiple times, Garnacho is stuborn and has forced himself into the first team. Both has he mentality and it helps that they have been doing really well this season.
What about Rashford? Do you think he's going to move to centre-forward next season?

Interesting how both Bruno and Ten Hag were kind of measured in the compliments department. Hints there of the departments being worked on to bring maturity and nous as well as on field excellence. All good, though; delighted for him.

You might be overestimating Amad a bit. He’s a classy player for someone so young but I think he’ll find the Prem very tough.

I think it's his attitude as much as his ability that lifts everyone when he comes on. That chest out bring it on attitude.
It almost Cantona like, I'm garnashers, I'll do what I like and there is feck all you can do about it.

He's going to score a late winner in the final isn't he.....

Most excited I've been about a young player since Ronaldo (No, I don't think he will reach that level before people jump on me).

He has the X-Factor. Arrogant & talented beyond belief. He's going to be a top player, just hope the club can match his ambitions so he doesn't leave in a 2 or 3 years.

Every time Bruno talks about him he caveats it with essentially "sometimes he is a twat but he's working harder now"

I don't think I've seen anybody speak about him without the caveat "as long as he keeps his feet on the floor/keeps working."

It's why I wouldn't be rushing to give him the No.7 or anything. I don’t think the lad needs an ego boost.

I hope he's just an annoying arrogant little shit like young Ronaldo. Would absolutely love a player like that: technically gifted and highly competitive. So long as he has that drive/desire to be the absolute best.

what I love about him is his fearlessness, just before that goal he made that run with the ball but overhit the pass to Bruno. Head didn't drop, still made himself available as soon as he could and topped it off with a nice finish.

He can’t be worst than Sancho though, which means a possible improvement for us.

Good talent but needs a astute manager to keep him on the leash to help him mature, luckily we've EtH so we may get some proper development with this kid.

Just trying to make sure he doesn't become too cocky, I guess. You have Andy Mitten on the latest Athletic podcast saying that United are trying to avoid another Januzaj situation where the player has a few good months and then suddenly turns into a knobhead who insults staff at the club and pisses off all of his team mates.

Amazing talent and still raw and because of this I feel he is best coming off the bench for the last 30 minutes, certain games I feel he is a good option to start.

Maybe next season we would be seeing him start much more games, I'm confident he can become a starting regular, however, the biggest fear would be if he has 2-3 good years as a starting regular then he will eventually be off to Madrid/Barcelona :(

I think there's a genuine concern from the players and the staff that he was a bit of a dickhead when he first came into the first team, and still is from time to time now. It's a strange one because he's the first young player in a while that I can remember that has been routinely told he needs to keep his feet on the ground publically by colleagues and coaching staff.

I also noticed that while Ten Hag celebrated his goal, when Garnacho took his shirt off, he went from celebration to hands on hips and shaking his head with a frown. So it would seem there's some form there for 'big time Charlie' behaviour and they're trying to knock it out of him to ensure he makes it before losing his way.

Mitten also said that he went to an open training session and Garnacho was tearing it up. When he spoke to the staff they said he was only doing that because he knew the media was there.

I think he'll start more regularly once they're all confident he's a team player and his dickhead behaviour stops.

Was listening to Devil's Pod this morning. I had no idea that Januzaj was such a bellend, to be honest. I know there were rumours that he was a little...dim. But he appeared to have pissed everyone off.

This is the thing when people say they love it when a youngster comes through and has arrogance, and is a bit cocky. It's such a tight line to walk. Hopefully, he has some good people around him. You can understand why some players and the manager speak about him in the way that they do. Keep him grounded.

You don't think Sancho would absolutely dominate in the championship?
He would probably be better for sure, but I wouldn't know how well he could cope well with the physical side/intensity of the game, especially when he has limited space.

Very excited about Garnacho. He's fast, direct, good finisher, and great game mentality so far. Hopefully he can become like Mo Salah, who I rate very highly.

You’d think so, yeah. but it might not pan out that way. They are actually pretty similar I think. Easy on the eye, technically, but a bit blunt against strong pacy defenders.

I don’t say Amad couldn’t contribute something but if everyone else is fit, I would be surprised if he gets many minutes. It would be a shame and I don’t want to be too negative; it would be great to see him given a proper chance.

Bloody hell! If he ends up like Salah we’re sorted. You are right about his attributes. He looks like that rare player who looks about the same level and effectiveness no matter how good the opposition; he never looks out of his depth.

Yeah I think we'd all take that but let's just wait and see a little :wenger: for now I'd take him just securing a starting 11 spot. Would solve a lot of our issues.

Also he has a very satisfying name. You just love saying it after a goal!
