He did very well defensively especially in our own box, but he was probably the worst offender of playing too slowly when receiving the ball in the first half allowing Villa's offside trap time to step up and catch our attackers.

Not seen anyone say signing him is a no brainier in a while. He’s served his purpose as a loan signing but see little point in keeping him next season, other than an odd goal here or there he has done very little.

Still struggles to get involved in games. Running around a lot but hardy sees any of the ball.

He just gives us a body out there as opposed to doing anything really well. I hope we don’t sign him.

Full 4 months of football will be enough to decide if we want to buy him or not. Guess there's a chance we do buy him unlike in Weghorst case.

He is good at getting into position in the box to shoot. Other than that, it is hard to say if what he does is good.

I'm entertaining the thought of having Sabitzer as striker. He's strong, reasonably mobile and fast, can head the ball, and has a pretty nice strike. Many times in the game he's further up field occupying striker position, with Martial strangely dropping deep.

Anyone has similar thought??
I can imagine he was a striker growing up but due to a lack of athleticism dropped further back.

Doesn't get involved enough for me, but then you have to consider that ten Hag does like one of his midfielders to do the unselfish running to create space for others.

I think he's ok. I probably wouldn't sign him, but I dot think ten Hag will. Very good off the ball, as in his pressing and unselfish running, has an eye for goal and is decent on the ball.

In a way, you can see why ETH had to get him in the games because he can provide some goals for us, at least, he gets into good positions in the box. I don't think ETH is playing him solely to have some kind of link-up or control or create. We are lacking goals and goal scorers.

He looks easily muscled off the ball during 50/50s.

I think he will turn up at some mid table premiership team next season.

Thought he came on, did well for the first five minutes (although the one where he was fouled, he should have released the ball first time as we had a great situation on the left)

Then he kinda disappeared

Offered some energy but didn't really do all that much. He's not making a convincing argument to stay if he can't play a deeper role and help us be more steady in games but instead just runs around as a kind of a 8/10 hybrid. We have quite a few of those players already.

I think it's a low-key bad sign for him not to have started as against West Ham, since Weghorst was playing as an attacking RCM which is the role you'd think he'd be playing when Bruno is out wide and Rashford up top.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
He did alright for the first couple of minutes after coming on, was quite involved which is more than he normally does and also more than Eriksen was doing today. But after those first few minutes he just disappeared like usual. Going purely off what he's done for us so far I really don't rate him at all, and will be disappointed if we sign him permanently.

Not good enough. Other than those 2 goals against Sevilla he’s done absolutely nothing in a Utd shirt. There’s a reason Bayern are willing to shift him on so cheaply.

He's nowhere near good enough, and it was clear from the start. Physically not up to the premier league. Small, weak, slow. And does not offer anything special technically to make up for it. For goodness sake can we put the £20m he'd cost towards a physically dominant young midfielder.

Other than a couple of glimpses he hasnt shown enough. No need to keep him.

Decent loan signing when we needed numbers but not sure I’d be giving him a 5 year contract.

Shame about the injury though

Thanks for the goals v Sevilla at home.
I guess he did a job whilst Eriksen was out which was the reason he came anyway.

He did a decent job filling in when Eriksen was injured. Shame he couldn't be in the squad for the last few matches but that is probably (and hopefully) that.

He's been decent I'd say, nothing more and nothing less.

He does seem fairly injury prone though, he's only been here since late January and it feels like he's been unavailable for a good chunk of games, there was talk he has a chronic underlying knee problem that we weren't aware of when we loaned him and maybe this is it.

I wouldn't be making the deal permanent in the summer.

Good luck to him. Think he’ll get away from Bayern… maybe a mid table prem team might look at him. We need better quality and an important thing we need to look at when signing players is their injury record. Sick of injury prone players.

He’s worth signing, especially if we manage to move on Donny, Scotty and Freddy.

Decent player, but too unlucky with injuries. Rather have Rabiot on a free than spending more than 10M on Sabitzer.

yep prob the way to go. Move out fred/mctominay/donny/sabitzer can go back and then bring in rabiot and a top CM to start. Promote someone like iqbal to take the fringe minutes and get a chance.

Thanks for the 30 odd average passes per 90, king. You filled the Donny/Scotty role perfectly for your time here
