Decent cameo like last time but you just don't expect Wout to score. Also, he's so fecking tall and I feel he loses most of aerial duels.
He does, whether its due to genuinely being poor at timing a header or he is afraid to challenge there is actually no reason why he shouldn't be dominating aerial duels.

He served his purpose when we desperately needed anyone up front. I don't even see how Burnley keep him around, you cannot have a player as slow and cumbersome as he is as well as not being able to dominate aerially. It makes no sense.

Yeah, even if Dyche was still there Wout wouldn't be back in the Burnley team probably. 3 more games for him at United, with more or less involvement.

No one passed to him in the box today again. I wonder does Ten Hag ever speak to the squad about this or does he understand why?
I think it's pretty clear that Antony only passes to him as a last resort and Bruno has completely sworn off passing to him at all.

Very good at pressing though. I thought he helped turn the game around a bit pressing from the front and causing the Bournemouth defenders to give the ball back to us.

Martial and Wout illustrates the wasteland that the CF position has become in the sport. Weakest set of strikers outside of the elite few that I can recall.

Yep and he isn't alone, I'm surprised Ten Hag hasn't said something. I genuinely don't know why Ten Hag bothers bringing a striker on that none of the rest of the team will pass to in the box.

Nah. Martial represents what happens when you have talent but no drive and Weghorst is a midtable striker, if that, and our getting him represents how in the red the club was in January when we were actually looking pretty good and could have done with a quality addition.

There's plenty better. Look at Brentford and Villa. I'm not saying we should buy Watkins or Toney, but they're obviously better than what we have.

I do not even see him as good enough for any of the clubs in the PL. He really tries his best, but he is just so bad.

The only team that matters
You know someone on this forum dubbed him a 100M striker if he had a bit more pace.
Not sure about 100M but if he had some pace he's definitely score more, he knows how to score but he doesn't have the speed to get there to do so

I’d love to see the team possession stats before & after Ww comes on as sub. It seems to me that Utd’s passing throughout the team turns to sh1t after he comes on, and we just get deeper inviting pressure. It maybe wasn’t just as noticeable today as Bournemouth were poor, but against Brighton & Villa it definitely felt like it.

I always tried to see what he brings to the side rather than his obvious flaws. But as his loan comes to an end you can’t say he has been anything but a disappointment.

2 goals is very poor.

The biggest a disappointment has been him being a complete nonentity in the air. We’ve been desperate for an aerial presence in attack so signing one of our tallest players ever seemed like a good idea. But nope. Turns out he can’t head the ball for shite.

He did play ok today though. Credit where it’s due.

He's been pretty much par for the course for me. He's just too limited of a player and doesn't have enough talent to be an adequate player at a top club.

I'm certain he doesn't even try to jump at times. I'm not sure if that's some sort of fear that he will hurt himself when he plants down after jumping. But it's weird how poor he is with an obvious advantage

Unfortunately, it hasn't worked out for him. I was happy when we first signed him, but a bit surprised that he is so slow and can't head the ball. Also when a striker doesn't score then you have to look elsewhere. Too bad we were financially restricted in January. I feel that Luuk de Jong or Haller would have fitted in better in our current setup.

Happy with his contribution (bar the scoring) and his mentality, he always looks eager to play, but he sometimes looks frustrated on the pitch as well. Safe to say both Sabitzer and Wout had underwhelming loan spells.

It's astonishing that we've made top four with a 2-goal a season striker. Even Rashford hasn't scored THAT many to compensate (though 17 goals is a great haul, Callum Wilson and Ivan Toney have both scored more goals still, so we desperately need to supplement Rashford somehow). I like Weghorst but he should be gone in the summer, can't really blame him he's done the absolute best he can do which was honestly a breath of fresh air after hands-on-hips Cristiano making us play worse by his sheer presence.

He won't play. Maybe he'll take a penalty after ET (if we manage to get there at all), but I do think he will play tomorrow and that's it for him at United.

I also don't expect him to play but the thought of him in his final United match becoming the matchwinner like he almost did for the Dutch NT against Argentina would be great and hilarious at the same time.

He would be an instant cult hero! Highlight of his career for sure! Would love it.

As in, after the match has finished, everyone else has gone home, WW will go back onto the pitch, place the ball on the penalty spot…and still miss

I’ve been really surprised how poor he actually is. After he got a couple of goals in the World Cup, I thought he would be a lot more dangerous with his size, but he can’t use it.

Hope he doesn’t play in the final, unless absolutely necessary.

No one was expecting Harry Kane but he genuinely looks like he'd struggle in the Championship - I expected more than that!

Wout Wout
You deserve a clout
You are the one
They’re talking about
Come on
I’m talking to you
Come on

Wout Wout
Gonna kick it out
Instead of crossing
And see it go out
Come on
I’m talking to you
Come on

Wout Wout
Part of a rout
Unfortunately it’s the other way
And it made us shout
For you to feck off
feck off

Would be lucky to get a game for a league 2 team. Genuinely an awful striker

He has not been good since January but I commend his effort, he is difficult to dislike. I hope that he has a good career far away from United. :)
