This deal makes sense despite his injury record. We currently only have Rashford who’s got end product.

We need attackers who deliver when fit. Sancho, Martial, Weghorst and Antony don’t deliver even when they are fit.

Neymar will bring publicity and sponsorships and will be on a low transfer fee. You just do the deal if possible.

Despite his problems in the past ego is fine with Neymar. Brazil have never suffered and Barcelona he loved it there. Money talks though hence the PSG move.
This will be the biggest issue with the deal but if it is a loan with PSG partially paying wages as rumored, it'll be perfect.

31, injury prone, ridiculous wages and brings a circus with him.

I'm convinced we have fans on this forum who enjoy us suffering. Neymar would be the cherry on top of the disastrous signings cake.

He's the total opposite to what we need right now. No thanks.

Watching Neymar play is the opposite of suffering. Neymar on a football pitch is one of the most fun players to watch.

Maybe when he's playing in a super team in a poor league.

In our team, in a very tough league he'd be nowhere near as good as you think he'd be.

Never been a fan tbh. Think he's massively overrated

He won’t end up in the EPL as it would be too much hard work for him.

He is annually injured when its Rio carnival and has a lazy arse attitude to working back for the team.

Show pony - probably end up in Saudi.

Stuff with his sister. The constant play acting. His wages alone would be a circus too and cause issues in the camp.

It's the last thing we need.
Giggs brought far more of a circus here than Neymar ever could and fans didn’t seem to mind him

Bruno is every bit as bad as Neymar when it comes to play acting as well. I like Grealish at City and he has his moments. Some players actually get a good kicking because they are too good for defenders.

Neymar is one such player.

So we are just ignoring his injury record and oscene wages then?

Neymar would be a hand grenade we just don't need. We need to build a top team not just a collection of top names.

Sorry but like many others in this thread are saying....it's a no from me.

Really? real bought Benzema, Cristiano, Bale, Modric, Kroos, Xabi Alonso and the rest is history. Who has City made/developed?
Fair point with Madrid. Foden is the obvious one. But my point was they’ve all been coached into world beaters. De bruyne was world class but was he putting in world class performances at Wolfsburg? Gundogan at Dortmund? Bernardo at Monaco?

People never learn. The amount of players we've had in the last ten years with baggage, attitude and injury problems is ridiculous. Nou_camp99 is right.

You can always watch him play for another team
Bit of a useless post dont you think? He never played for Manchester United and i have watched him play before. Dont you think ive seen him play for another team? Have you actually watched him play before?

Scroll up a bit or go back some pages and you can see stats that show that Neymar works harder than Rashford for example (https://www.redcafe.net/threads/neymar.410552/page-27#post-30585836). Or even the claim that Neymar works harder than ''hard working'' Sadio Mané. Only lazy thing is your claim that Neymar is a lazy player.

Maybe when he's playing in a super team in a poor league.

Have you ever watched him play? I seriously dont understand how you can think he cant handle the Premier League. Prime Hazard destroyed defenders and Neymar has always been a better player than Hazard. Neymar is a much better player than someone like Mahrez, a player who is very good but nowhere near Neymar. Look at all the wide players in the league and can you claim that they are better than Neymar? Mitoma and Grealish are praised for their dribbling ability but they arent on Neymar his level. It almost seems like a but can Messi do it on a cold rainy night at Stoke?

You can be against signing Neymar for his injury record or if you think other players would be jealous of his wages and it would cause a problem in the dressing room. Those a valid concerns (although loads of players look up to Neymar and would consider his high wages fair i think) but Neymar not good enough to play in the Premier League? I dont think that will be an issue at all.

Has it been confirmed it's a loan?
That was the initial report.

I just fail to see any downside if it's a loan move with PSG covering some of the wages too.

I see people continuing the myth that Neymar is lazy, but they ignore all the posts here with data that destroys that myth.

You shouldn't bother.

Neymar is the most hated player on the cafe. There's a slew of posters who've never rated him and likely never will.

People who big up the Premier League as this unforeseen step up for players shouldn't be taken serious honestly.

I have watched him a lot. I just don't rate him.

Same reason I didn't rate Pogba despite so many of our fans on here who did and look who was proved right there.

There's more to football than just having natural talent. With Neymar I don't see a player who will come to a Utd team that is still a long way off being back to its best and roll his sleeves up.

Don't think he's a ETH type player either.

It would be ironic if we signed Neymar but released a certain 'Mr Naivelumber' - simply replacing one devisive presence for another is just stupid. I get that we are linked with any cnut with a set of boots and a pulse this time of year, but come on, why are we even talking about this?

Im not even pro Neymar and saying he should be signed but i find it a bit ridiculous how Neymar is underrated here. Sure, he is everything a proper caf lad dislikes. He makes fouls on him look worse than they are, he likes to dance, does social media, does fortnite stuff and fashion but he can actually play football very well too. I think it would be fun to see him make those amazing Premier League defenders look stupid. A bit how it was kinda funny to watch Haaland break all kind of goal records when people here claimed he would have issues scoring since he came from a farmers league

You dont rate the player or the person? Pogba and Neymar do have in common that they are very ''modern'' footballers who do all these things outside of football that older or ''old school'' football fans dont like.

Also whatever people keep claiming about Pogba, he was good at his start. Double figure goals and assists and it was actually fun to watch him play football. He only really became shit when he became injury prone. I would have loved a first or second season Pogba next to Casemiro this season.

It's been par for the course with Neymar on here.

People don't think he's great and that he'd struggle in the Premier League. I mean they invent silly narratives constantly about him and bring up him playing at PSG(even though he literally excelled at Barcelona - but people don't rate La Liga either)as means to reduce him as a footballer. There's people on here who only rate players that play in the Premier League. There were people on here who wouldn't sign Mbappe if they got the chance. So don't be surprised.

I mean he's going to be Brazil's record goal-scorer(passing Pele), but yeah he's just not that good

Dont forget every february he will miss the last 16 CL tie as he'll be "injured" and in brasil celebrating his sisters birthday.

The mixture of overhyping of the Premier League and the lazy narratives about Neymar without actually watching him play is hilarious to be honest. Looks like the "lazy" narrative is the one that'll stick and that he can't handle it in an apparently elite league.

You people can't seriously think a player would miss a CL tie for a birthday party right?

Correct me if I am wrong, doesnt he usualy break a bone or something? Sure he has missed 1 or 2 season but I think more times than not he tends to be out for months not just a week. He has been out for months this year, you cant surely believe a team paying him 1m a week is going to sign off on him missing months worth of football to party.

Neymar has always done well at every single club he has ever played for. He has consistently been one of the top 10 attacking players on the planet each season.

His merchandise sales and publicity pay for himself. He’s a superstar.

He is so beyond what players like Sancho and martial will ever become as a footballer both on and off the pitch.

Ten Hag would love to call on Neymar in his squad. Every single manager on the planet would, that’s a fact. .

Players like him are made for playing for great clubs like Manchester United. You need arrogance yes.

Most importantly our attack is barely mid table standard right now.

Beckham, Giggs, Keane, Rooney, Ronaldo etc all had a circus round them. They all did okay for us.

True  I’d actually love to see a team containing Bruno, Neymar and Martinez.

We’ll wind up the middle aged rival fans no end. Will be classic.

It's such a stupid narrative.

He's been a sicknote unfortunately with injuries since his move to PSG. That's been his biggest problem since moving to PSG.

If we had a guarantee he'd play 40-45 games for us next season on a loan, it'd be the best bit of business we could do in years.

Sign Kane, Neymar and Rabiot - we are winning league next season
We added Sancho, Varane and Ronaldo after finishing in second place, a lot of people expected us to challenge.

We had Rooney, Falcao, Van Persie, Di Maria and Mata as attacking options under LvGs era, quite a lot of people were giddy about our chances.

Adding big names in the latter stages of their careers just never seem to work as well as we hope for.
Adding Neymar and Kane on Ronaldoesque wages to our squad is a thought that frightens me..
