Nah, it's because he's actually not that good.

A Ukrainian James McClean, Chelsea got robbed on this one.
You can tell this from the mostly 20-30 minute cameos he gets here and there?

There is literally zero consistency in how he much he gets to play and how he is used by Potter/Lampard.

Surely he has to play against us. These are the scenarios he is meant to thrive in. Space in behind the full backs to run into. Defo scoring a hat trick tomorrow.

You say that but the team has been on the beach for weeks. This team just wants the season to end. I don't think we're seeing anything other than a comfortable United win.

I’m not sure about comfortable win. We don’t really do comfortable wins

You think there is no reason for starting him 6 times beyond the excuse of "bad coaches".
I’d say there are reasons. When he signed he hadn’t played any real football for like 2 months and for some reason Potter threw him straight in the starting lineup. The debut cameo at Anfield aside, it was obvious he looked rusty as hell and needed some kind of preseason program to help get his match fitness to the required level. And yes I would say coming into a team that is imploding, that has gone through 3 managers in one season, is hardly ideal.

That is before we even begin to consider the challenges of making the step up from the Ukrainian league to the Premier League league. He would have needed time even if Chelsea were in tip top form and a cohesive unit. That being said, he has looked pretty good the last couple of times he’s come off the bench.

Saw that on twitter yetserday but it didnt even take off because he's such a no mark. Never did seem like the sharpest tool in the shed either.

Does he get immunity to criticism due to being Ukrainian?

Never seen anyone so low in confidence. Just looks terrified.

He hasn’t been given any sort of run of games though. Badly needs preseason.

He is a confidence player. His debut was pretty good, but it seems the atmosphere at Chelsea is so toxic that it has affected his confidence and morale since then. Trimming the team, giving him more play time and as Pochettino stated, "bringing a family atmosphere," could be the only way to help this lad. He has been shocking today
