At least 200 pages of utter embarrassment in this thread. So many people making brainless comments, making fools of themselves in the process.

ETH has done great job this season. Now let's give it our best in the FA cup final and let's have a great summer...

Good way to paraphrase that we have a swathe of brainless posters .

Couldn’t agree more.

Very good season, all things considered. Could be a great one if we deny cnuts the treble.

People forget the absolute shambles he picked up when he took this job. We were a shambles on and off the pitch.

The mad thing is, we're still an utter shambles off the pitch, and he has achieved in spite of that.

Fantastic first season, imagine what he could do under normal circumstances.

Absolutely! From where we were to now is brilliant, haven’t played great lately but that’s to me is done to fatigue and characters that shouldn’t be there, handle the Ronaldo situation brilliantly and injuries, got to back him now thi summer. I can go to the Caribbean this weekend a very happy man.

Just to think we have fans who slate this guy week in and week out. The mind boggles. He's done a phenomenal job and I can't wait to see where he takes us next season.
There was one that was slating him 58 minutes ago or whatever it is, in this very thread 'Ole Gunnar Ten Hag' they posted! We were winning ffs!

72 pts in his first season with all the drama with Ronaldo, not having a forward etc. is really good. Maybe we'll even do 75!

For context previous totals were 58, 74 (2nd), 66 (3rd), 66 (6th), 81 (2nd), 69 (6th), 66 (5th), 70 (4th), 64 (7th) and 89 (1st )

The points total was only beaten twice in the past 10 years.

Well done to Erik. Had to deal with a lot in this difficult job, so good on him getting us back into CL and a trophy.

Fingers crossed for the FA cup...

He has far exceeded my expectations. That being said, I sincerely hope this style of football is a result of fatigue and lack of quality players, and it changes next season. He should be supported this transfer window.

A year ago this would have been deemed a pretty good season. We’ve played so many fecking games though and you can see it hurting us from March onwards. I think we’ll have played more games than City this season.

Onwards and upwards though, I hope we have some new owners announced imminently and we can get to work with summer transfers.

Heh!

Can't believe he didn't play Weghorst, maybe he is saving him for cup finals.

On a serious note, very good season. Hopefully we will end with one more cup.

This is important. Playing most of the season without one and still managed to get top four.... good on him.

Thought he's done tremendously well given the clusterf*ck he inherited. I also think he did a great job navigating the team to get over the line at the end of the season when doubt could have crept in.

A phenomenal job would be winning the league. He's done a good job, and made some mistakes along the way. Nothing wrong with that, and nothing wrong with some constructive crirism. I'm happy with his first season overall

Great job for season 1. A few dodgy results but I'd say we've exceeded expectations.

Beat City to crush their treble and he has instant legend status

Said CL and a cup would be a great success in his first season all things considered so delighted he managed that. Could still end up 3rd and with a cup double which is remarkable given what he's had to put up with this season. Frustrating to watch at times but I'm a tad pleased for him.

I almost want to pity them. Following a sport and not understanding it can't be a whole lot of fun.

The fun thing about reality is that context exists in it. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Top 4 is the minimum I expected of him this season. To win a trophy alongside that means he has done well. To achieve that under the external circumstances that he has had to deal with, means he has done a fantastic job. No matter what happens in the final, he has earned my trust for next season.

Weird, given that most people predicted us outside top 4.

Mission accomplished. Great first season for him considering how poor we were last season. Hopefully he's backed in the summer.

Very good debut season and he's achieved more than I expected. I would give him a solid 8/10. Our performances have been a wee bit hit-and-miss the past few months, but we had a feck load of injuries and it's clear some of these players are shattered.

Next season we need to start controlling games better, and hopefully a clinical number 9 can sort out some of our wastfulness.

Good first season so far. Will be great if he can win the FA Cup. A really really tough feat considering we've played an insane number of games moreso than the opponents.
