Not sure if this is the right place to post, and if its not appropriate then apologies and mod can delete.

I'm a Newcastle fan who bought a Club Wembley membership for our final vs your lot for the Carabao Cup Final. To keep it brief for those unaware the way it works is you have to agree to 3 year membership and you get 9 games per year and it costs £2.4k per year.

So I have a ticket available for the final in the west stand which I believe is the side of ground you are for the final (Note all of Club Wembley is neutral and no club colours allowed). I see the forum allows tickets to be sold at face value, but in this instance face value is somewhat questionable with how Club Wembley works.

For example, there's a portal to sell your ticket and for the FA CUP final the range to sell is £200-£420, note not one person is selling there ticket through the portal. For comparison for the semi finals the range was £180-£220.

I had tickets for both semi finals as part of the membership, and City vs Sheffield Utd game went to waste.

So yeah, I'm not a ticket tout trying to make the max amount of profit I can make, just a football mad Geordie trying to minimise my losses.

If the post is ok to stay up and someone wishes to purchase this ticket then of course will provide proof of membership etc, cheers, and hopefully meet you again someday back at Wembley.

Phil fecking Jones. Your time is now.

Not a big believer in man marking, but Haaland needs to be sat on. For this, we absolutely need to wheel out Jonah, I heard that he's currently going through a Rocky style training regime, running up steep hills with Anderson strapped to his back. Tomorrow he'll do a half ironman, before going 15 rounds in the ring with Keano and on Thursday an ultra marathon endurance run alongside pace-setter three-lung Park, Friday he'll have clean tackling practise with Scholes. Van Persie was always terrified of flying but fancies a holiday in France, so at the weekend Jones will swim the channel while towing RVP's yacht with the whole family aboard.

Despite enduring all of this, he'll be stretchered off after 38 minutes on cup final day, but by jove, he'll keep Haaland in his pocket.

It's the way propaganda works. Repeat a "fact" many times and people will take it as fact.
Exactly though I think it used to be more draining to play on, something to do with the way the pitch was made up, maybe still is

I like the way you think.
Roy Keane ended senior Haaland.
Jones will end junior Haaland.

His final act for United. Glory

Am I crazy for thinking we should start Wout in this one?

Hear me out - the best way to get at City I think is leaving Rashford high on the left hand side to try exploit the gap left by their RB, so basically absolve him of any defensive duties. Thus it might be better to put Wout in there to cover the ground that Rashford isn't - and dropping into midfield whilst one of the midfield covers the space on the left/help out Shaw....

Or you know, don't do that and do something way better.
I suggested something like that somewhere a while back, City having an easy time passing the ball around and us letting them will kill us IMO, we need to harry them a bit and for all his faults Weghorst is reasonably good at it.

To win this game I think we need to do something they aren't expecting

Keane didn't end his dad though, he almost ended himself though, he might have intended to but he got the wrong leg

it's the most famous perpetuated myth in footballing lore, and i shall not go against it.
Yeah I know, but I'm afraid Keano apparently didn't know his left from his right, but he can make amends , I'm assuming he's on pundit duty so he could accidentally ..... :D

Will Ortega start in goal for City? or will Pep play his strongest team?

I’m looking forward to seeing the chuckle brothers reunited for one last gig, passing the ball between each other, getting caught out, causing the keeper or AWB to have palpitations. Wooo should be good

we may not even touch the ball except for kickoff against City if we defend against them like we did today

Casemiro Fred and Eriksen midfield with Bruno, Martial and Rashford up front. Fred must play.

Should really be Garnacho over Martial on form but it won’t be and we need an impact player off the bench.

Yeah I'd agree, we need Fred for his energy (was great vs City last time), Eriksen for his passing and then Bruno on RW as Antony is injured now.

But we'll have to play much better than tonight to have a chance of getting result.

Whatever you feel about Antony we will definitely miss him in this game

They had 71% possesion last time we played them and had 5 shots, 1 on goal. FA Cup match we'll lineup like we did in that 2-1 win

Rashford-Martial-Bruno
----------------Eriksen
-----------Fred-Casemiro
Malacia-Shaw-Varane-AWB
or------------or
Shaw----Lindelof

Can't see Eriksen starting, City's midfield would just breeze past him even easier than Chelsea's did

Cup finals are often about moments. It is not often you get high scoring games in cup finals between two big teams.
It is more likely to be due to a set piece, or a lost-their-heads moment, or a sending off that changes the game. We cannot let that happen.
Key for us is to keep it tight and disrupt the flow, a bit of shithousery. Nick a goal. Counter attack or set piece probably. Man mark KDB.

City will be under more pressure to win this to get their treble, make no mistake about that, and whilst it is important for us too, it is our last game of the season and we can put everything into this game. City still have a Champions League final to play and if they had to pick, they would want the Champions League.

Fans will be key here, I think a loud set of United fans will really pressure City and if we can nick an early goal, they will start to feel nervous, especially if we play a stop-start shithousery game.

I hate to admit this, but we need a typical Jose cup final approach to win this.

Personally I think nicking an early goal is possibly the worst thing we can do, they'll just up their game to levels we can't get to, the longer it goes without them scoring the better it is for us because they'll get frustrated and over do it hopefully

It’s not ideal but having Eriksen in there is a disaster waiting to happen . We need legs and energy and a bit of shithousery and then 3 in front who have pace for counter attacks because that’s the only way we will beat them.

Sadly agree - can't see how we can get away with both Eriksen and Bruno in a midfield v City and not expect to get massively overran.

Got to find a formation that allows us to keep it compact and break with pace. Probably looking at something like:

DDG

AWB
Lindelof
Varane
Shaw :nervous:

Fred
Casemiro
McT

Bruno
Sancho

Rashford

Questions mark will be over Sancho or Martial, especially if Antony is out. Hopefully Shaw is fully fit and back. And a rogue one - do you try and fit Dalot in on the wing for his running/defensive back-up.

I fully think we can win this, but it's going to take some serious Jose ball to do it.

United minus the Glazers
This game will be our back to reality moment just in time for us to embark on a seemingly purposeful foray into the transfer market only to come back with a geriatric has-been striker. I hope I’m wrong.

I would be shocked if Eriksen is benched, but I really hope he will be, otherwise Howe will definitely lose.

Hope we beat the feckers. Mountain to climb though, Pep rarely lose a final, I think 2 in total?

McTominay? No way. Fred, Casemiro and Bruno should be enough for the midfield. Adding useless bodies don't strengthen the midfield, just weakens us more in the attack.

Upfront should be Antony, Rashford and Martial. Antony will be better than Sancho in this due to his work rate.

We should be cautious but at the same shouldn't be cowards. Our chances are low either way so let's give it out best.

Shaw Lindelof Varane AWB
Fred Casemiro
Bruno
Rashford Antony
Martial

That should be our best lineup for such game. Many hardworkers but at the same not toothless up front.
