Very good debut season and he's achieved more than I expected. I would give him a solid 8/10. Our performances have been a wee bit hit-and-miss the past few months, but we had a feck load of injuries and it's clear some of these players are shattered.

Next season we need to start controlling games better, and hopefully a clinical number 9 can sort out some of our wastfulness.
Think we need a midfield partner for Casemiro who can dominate midfield and control games. And with a number 9 we should be scoring a lot more with the chances we create.

Yeah, we badly need a more dynamic midfield next to Cas.

Beat Fulham and he’s already had a better league season than any post Fergie manager besides Mourinho in his second season. Considering where we were last May that’s frankly incredible.
That we have one cup in the bag and an FA Cup final to look forward to only enhances that even more.
Brilliant start as United manager, would love to see him get a top ball playing CM in now and see what we can do.

Love his interviews. Always straight forward and always focused on the next game and improving. Got through a shaky stretch there and got over the line in the league. Now lets turn a good season into a great season by pulling off a coup at Wembley.

If we somehow win the FA Cup its an 8/10 season. Right now, i'd give it a 6/10. Rock bottom expectations coming into the season
has helped fan perception but overall, not much different to the other post-Fergie United sides that finished in the top 4. Some really good things and some really bad things. The summer will essentially tell us what he really is about and will make or break his long-term future with the club. He really needs to be brave. The team is still carying a lot of deadwood. Needs to get rid of a lot of that. Then, he needs to trust the younger players more and try to add a lot more control and comfort on the ball to the squad. Once again, next season is a huge season for Manchester United. Just like in 15/16, 18/19, 20/21 and 21/22, expectations are sky high again. Hopefully we are not disappointed this time.

Good 1st season. Potential to be great with a FA Cup win over City.

Some very good football at times. Some poor defeats too, but hopefully a thing of the past.

Need a good window to push for 80+ points next season.

You’ve got a bloody nerve coming back into this thread after your ridiculous and pathetic post calling him “Ole Gunnar Ten Hag”.

Should be thread banned.

Also deems your 6/10 rating utterly irrelevant.

A solid 7/10. A couple of decent signings and who knows, although next season I imagine NUFC, LFC, and a few others will also push on. Chelsea might even get it together...

I could not care less what you think. This team is very very similar to Ole's best teams both in style of play and tactics.

Yet here you are caring what I think , else why even comment.

And re your second sentence, bravo on demonstrating once again your complete lack of footballing nous.

8/10 for me, enough points this season and would of qualified last season as well.

Hope we get 3 quality signings to push on for 80+ next year.

Good season especially after last year. Let’s not forget those losses against Brighton and Brentford either. The extra running session the day after the latter was a calculated gamble that did seem to work in establishing culture within the dressing room. The slip towards the end of the season is one I’m more putting down to us having to rely on more of last season’s first 11 who aren’t up to scratch really. Can’t see us beating city but you never know. Proper interested to see who will be let go this summer now

Your post history is so horribly nasty and negative. Just constant moaning about the manager and players and performances before they’ve even happened. It must be fecking exhausting being so utterly abject of joy?

Given his emotional intelligence it looks like he has stolen a "0" to go after the "3" on his listed age.

So far a decent season especially given the horrible first two games.

He's had a lot of shit to overcome. The Maguire, Ronaldo and greenwood stuff. The number of injuries, late signings, no real backing in January, a lack of striker for the majority of the season

And yet, A trophy to end the drought,, another final to come, Cl qualification confirmed (with the chance to finish third) ,and our home form.

the away games especially that result against them lot, and the cup exit were bad, but the good has outweighed the bad so far

Yeah, agree with 7/10. Could be argued 7.5/10 and if we win FA Cup maybe even a 8/10. If we win FA Cup, it is likely the best post-SAF season.

Had my doubts (and still have) but the last 3 matches, we showed nerve and good results. Long May it continue and hopefully we make the right signings to push for a title challenge next season.

Take a long hard look at yourselves the ones who doubted him, he's made mistakes but deary me I don't think I can cope with the knee jerk reactions on the caf anymore best manager we've had since the great man who made plenty of mistakes.
Anyway I'm pleased for him.

A pretty austere reading of his performance, that. I’d give him an 8/10 right now. The decline toward the end of this season was largely down to ETH being a victim of his own success. We also had some key injuries and the majority of the players became exhausted.

Right with you on the expectations, though. It’s still going to take us a couple of seasons to put in a meaningful challenge. We need to be realistic and a little patient. And hope there’s decent investment.

I think we’ve looked a million miles from an ETH side since February but we’ve got what what we wanted in the end and hopefully he gets the right backing.

If anything it just makes me more positive about the future that we've a manager with a deep philosophy but isn't scared to alter it when he needs to dig deep and win. He's exactly the type of manager we've longed for the past decade and more.

Was obviously difficult after the second Casemiro red card and we haven't quite gotten the momentum back in full since that moment.
Overall a good first year for Erik which has the potential to be great if he pulls it off against City.

Limping towards the end. Really need to build the bench. We're playing with no strikers and always one injury/suspension away from a major crisis in midfield. But what I really liked in those games when we did look like his team is the clear pattern of play, and hints of a pressing side.

Delighted for him. Given the mess that he inherited it's been a great first season and that's regardless of what happens in the cup Vs city.

Hopefully we see the back of the Glazers soon and that the sale of the club doesn't impact on the transfer business he wants to carry out. It's going to be a really crucial summer and hopefully we can improve the squad and be in a position to release a number of players who really just don't deserve to be here.

We're definitely on the right track under this guy with massive room for improvement. Really excited to see what he can do now he's firmly settled and established himself.

Last year we finished 6th with 58 points. This season, we’re just one home win against Fulham away from finishing 3rd on 75 points. A 17point improvement, along with a cup win and a second cup final.

This btw is our 2nd highest points total for the whole decade, since SAF’s departure. The best one being Mourinho’s 81-point season in 17/18 when we finished second.

Whatever happens in the cup final he has had a very first season. He turned OT into a fortress again.
