Big congratulations to him. Great to have a player capable of hitting that number.

The fact that he doesn’t play as an out and out striker either.

Well done Rashy.

Let's not wait another 10 years for someone to do it again.

Kane next season will be grand.

Congrats to him. His best season for the club.

Hopefully another goal or two to come in the FA cup final

Congrats to him but quite embarrassing for us that we've lacked a class goalscorer for so long.

We need to score a lot more goals to have the kind of success we all want.

Crazy to think he's managed that despite having relatively barren runs in Oct to the World Cup and then March to May.

A real coming of age season, with the post WC run one of the best I've seen from any united player ever in terms of delivering the goods.

I hope this isn't a one off and at the very least is his level going forwards. We need goals.

Great year from him.

If we get another 20-25 goal player next season, we would be so much more better and higher in the league

Congrats to him. The mental strength needed to perform how he has after last season is exemplary. Needs to keep this high standard and hopefully we can pair him with a lethal CF next season.

Our MVP this year. Very happy for him. If anyone deserved it, it was always him.

It’s a weird stat you wouldn’t have believed to happen 10 years ago. From memory, Lukaku was very close to getting 30 in Jose’s second season and Zlatan was very unlucky to not exceed 30 in Jose’s first season because of that knee ligament injury.

Well done on the goals Rashy! I knew he could be a 30 goal player. Ever since that goal vs City at The Etihad in his debut season.

Beautiful little dummy with the right then quick touch with the left today to set himself up. I think he's improving his composure in front of goal a lot

Good for him, but we need him to consistently do it, along with another one or two.
56 goals in 37 Premier games is a disgrace really for a top club. 2 Strikers are essential at least.

Easily player of the year. Without him stepping up this season you wonder where we'd be.

Hope the lad signs a new contract and plays for many more years to come. Odd to think he's only 25.

Assuming we sign a top striker this summer, I don't imagine we'll be seeing another 30 goal season from him, but even so with decent output every season he'll end up a top 5 scorer for the club all-time.

Ibra was nailed on for 30+ had it not been for Mou overplaying him into injury. He got to 28 with still 25% of the season to go iirc

He's a great player, seems to be a decent and intelligent guy especially with his desire to help out struggling kids and families. I'm an old fart though so I was worried that him hitting the clubs with Lingard with those shit outfits had ruined him but fair fecks to the guy, he's shown that he is the real deal.

I know the standard thing to say is "hopefully he improves on this next season" but frankly I just want him to maintain it. He's been a bit selfish this season but I don't blame him because he hasn't had much quality around him. We shouldn't have to rely on him so much. Either make him the tip of the spear next season and bring in another LW or give him a target man up front to work with.

In short; he's brilliant. Our local version of Rooney except not fat.

Brilliant achievement. Let's hope he carries that through to next season alongside a 30 goal striker and 15-20 from the right side. We'd be cooking then.

Great stuff. I think he is capable of even better if he has better players around him and we don’t need to play him when he isn’t fit.

Hoping for better attacking options next season to complement him.

Holding my hands up and admitting I’m eating crow with Rashy.

For a long while he seemed lost, and to be quite honest I was in favour of letting him go.

This season he has been fantastic, his post World Cup form was world class. Fair play to the lad, and it looks like he has been enjoying his football a lot more. Seems more focused and has a smile on his face again this year.

Long may it continue, get that contract signed.

Still a bit disappointed that he can't be our first playing hitting 20 league goals a season since RVP. Thought he could surely do it after his red hot form after the World Cup..

He'd have hit 20 if Ronaldo had left at the start of the season. Some of our play in the initial games relied too heavily on trying to pass to Ronaldo & this wasted opportunity for others.

Carried the attack by himself. Some of the fans wanted him sold.

Let’s not gloss over the fact that we were in Europa and played all rounds of both cups at home. “First since RVP/Rooney” stuff is doing those players huge disservice. They scored mostly in the PL/CL. Against crap cup opposition they were either benched or not in the squad so didn’t have the opportunity to statpad.

17 league goals is all that matters. Good return but he has done it once before. Hopefully this time he can actually build on it and not proceed by stinking the place up for two years.

Captain hindsight here coming in strong after 2 disastrous seasons.

Well done Rashford, hopefully to many more!
It wasn't 2 disastrous seasons. It was one very bad season, which was terrible for pretty much everyone at the club, and 1 decent-ish one, which was not bad for a player still developing.

This. Padding goal stats against League One fodder and teams in Kazakhstan is neat, but PL+CL is what truly measures quality.
