I heard an interesting rumour at the Emirates last night that Fellaini is a big target of ours this summer.

I like the player. A little bit raw, bit of a nutcase, but still young and offers a few things that we currently lack.

I am not a man........I am Cantona
This nasty streak thing is just hype. I think he has a great attitude personally. As his reading of the game improves he wont find himself getting caught in possession as much and those situations will be avoided. Look at all central midfielders, not exactly saints in their formative years. Its all part of the course.....

Everton paid a club record of 15mil quid for him and he has since gone on to establish himself in their side, should cost a barber and a razor

Didnt moyes pay 15m for him. They'll probably be looking for double that now. Cant see us paying that sort of money

I'd rather have Rodwell.

I like him, and rate him highly, but he'll cost a lot (as in too much) unless there's another reason for selling (some weird fall out, contract problem etc.)

He'd currently cost us too much but one hell of a player! When he sits back in his defensive role, rarely do Everton get caught out and rarely are teams allowed to walk through the pitch. He has a nice scoring streak and is young - be perfect for us.

Everton tried making him into a forward like they have with their Aussie but he's far better sitting back.

I dont think hes better than what we already have, nor do I think he would add anything different. No idea how old he is, so he may develop better, but I know which Everton midfielder i'd rather him and his name ain't Fellaini.

roy keane had a lot more to his game than just a nasty streak.
Of course he did, but he could be a nasty bastard when he wanted to be. The same could be said of Robbo, Norman and Souness. But they were still all gifted footballers and born winners. Im not putting old afro head in the same class as any of those players, just stating a fact. If we are to go after anyone from Everton then Rodwell is the one.

We were linked with him while he was still at Liege at one point. He's a good player for sure, and at 22 will definitely get better. But buying a first choice player from Everton is an expensive option and I really don't know whether he'll ever be worth £20mil+. Wouldn't say no to him in the squad at all, but with Fergie's seemingly looking for value these days, I can't see him splashing out on Fellaini, especially with him currently out long term. Would be a big risk.

He is a top midfielder, definitely good enough for United. I would take him over Rodwell tbh.

We need a technical midfielder not a shit version of Darren Fletcher.

Apart from kicking people, elbowing people and falling over, what is Fellaini good at?

Not good enough, simple as. Plus, what did Everton pay for him? 15m. You'd need to add another 10m to get him. Moyes isn't stupid.

Is this an April fools joke?

This guy is a pile of shit, and would rather play with 10 men than him in our side...

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
He's actually a bloody good player, both on the ball and off it, both attacking and defending. More people seem to have recognised that this season, but obviously there's a lot who still haven't seen it.

He'd be a great option for us, but the price wouldn't be worth it considering we already have Fletcher. We need back-up for Fletch (hopefully Hargreaves), not an expensive competitor. If we're going to spend that much on our midfield it'll be a more attacking player.

I do actually think he is a pretty decent player who does has alot of upside, also a tremendous aerial threat, that said I would rather have Rodwell a million times over.

Those calling Fellaini shit have obviously never watched him play. You remind me of fans of other teams who call Scholes and Fletcher shit. The same lot of you also called Valencia and Carrick shit. The problem is, you're all too often spoilt FM brats who willingly forgo the fact that you know feck-all in order to perpetuate your own pessimistic and rigidly misguided opinions.

I thought Fellaini was a striker. Hmm I can see the benefit of having a player like that on frset pieces - like corners.

Don't sign old players and cast offs
A bold buy for Everton at his price, but a good buy for his age and ability, and I wouldn't have complained if we'd got him.

Actually it's a buy that makes me think about Moyes a bit. Spending a club record on a young player with potential instead of the instant effect a lot of managers go for has the hallmark of a United manager for me.

He's a fine midfielder. The same people who call him shit now would no doubt compare him to Xavis and Pirlos if he joined, pretty much the same as with Carrick.

Dont be silly, those players are 100 times technically better than him

They are, I'm not saying Fellaini is anything close to Xavi or Pirlo or that he will ever be, but knowing fans, a lot people on here would compare him to them regardless had he played for us. Carrick isn't at the same level as either of them yet he's drawn many comparisions, it'd be the same with Fellaini as I believe that with proper guidance under Ferguson he'd reach the same level easily.
