I like Joe as a comedian. However he is a conspiracy wingnut. 99%(yes I pulled that out of my ass, but the point stands ;p) of the shit he says on his podcast, which I watch on the reg, is factually inaccurate or based on hearsay.

And thats part of the reason why its fun, the one when he had Ralphie May was brilliant because Ralphie was just pulling stories out of his ass like the North Korean attack which he said "killed thousands" and it was about 2 people.

It's got the right mix of funny stories/conspiracies/drug talk. If only they had Joey Diaz on more.

Loved the interview with Mike Tyson, and Mike sounds like he's in a really good place now.

His interview style is truly excellent, can proper tap in to and connect with the interviewee no matter who or what walk of life they're from.
I don't watch him much, but I'm really interested to hear he's done one with Iron Mike. I'll check it out! The one with Tyson Fury was very, very good.

Have been listening to his podcast for a while now, after @Pogue Mahone once mentioned it here IIRC. Usually skip the UFC episodes but the rest is usually top notch. Loved the recent one with Tyson as well.

Has there been any update on when Kanye is doing this. I mean I can’t stand Kanye but it will be intresting to see what he has to say and what Rogan will say to him. Kind of feel like that tweet from Kanye about none of the media wanting to discuss mental illness was Kanye propaganda and Rogan has called his bluff and he’ll never show up.

Since that Kanye said he has spoken to Joe and that thr podcast is "coming soon". Also in the Mike Tyson episode this week, Rogan mentioned he's been listening to a lot of Kanye West recently. It's definitely in the works.

Not being a hipster but his earlier stuff is light years above his current work.
He steers the conversation to the same Rogan talking points regardless of the guests and has too many bro / pseudo scientists on and presents them as experts regardless of credentials.
The Kanye podcast will never happen though. He's just too mentally unstable and won't be allowed to do it.

Yeah I saw this which says they are working on it. Which I’m sure getting a date between the two is hard but this is sort of why I feel it won’t happen. I really hope it does but until I see Kanye in that seat I’m not getting my hopes up.

Anyone else see that gift Tyson got Rogan? I want and need it.

The big problem with the podcast is that Rogan himself is an utter moron. Some guests are interesting enough to overcome that but with others I can actively feel my brain cells dying in horror.

That's why he tends to change the course of conversation back to himself.
When he had Russell Brand on you could see Russell get frustrated at Joe not being able to keep up so simply humoured him with his fecking Conor McGregor questions.
He even tried to convince Brand, a recovering addict, to take drugs again because of all of the benefits.
Its Rogan bingo at times.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this, he's amazingly dense.

I suspect that most people would come to that conclusion if they listened to him speak for a few hours.
I didn't. Sure he's whacky and has some daft ideas, but I would't consider him an utter moron. He's successful at what he does, and it's not like he espouses himself as some sort of intellectual either. He's just having fun on a podcast.

He doesn't, but I get the impression a lot of his fans do.

Its a not a representative sample but the friends I have that like Rogan like him specifically because its not intellectual and just more mellow fun, casual type of thing. If they want to listen to intellectual they'll turn on Radiolab or something. No one I know that listens to him takes him seriously or echoes his thinking (unlike all those famous Youtubers).

He does have on random interesting guests that aren't really media types so that angle is interesting to me

There is nothing I can say about Joe Rogan that he can’t sum up much more eloquently himself. "I am the link between the potheads and the meatheads. I bring them together", he once said.

Yup. I don't understand how it is so popular.
