Football, Bloody hell!
Couldn’t find a thread already about this movie

Comes out this Friday, I have a soft spot for apocalyptic type movies though I’m fairly certain it’s gonna be a big disappointment as usual, will be going to see it sometime over the weekend regardless... I’m always wary of big budget movies that don’t have any advanced reviews, probably means it’s a bit shit!

Just seen this. Really disappointed. From the trailers it looked like it was going to be along the lines of District 9. It's just a rip off of every alien invasion movie before it. Absolutely nothing original. It makes Independence Day look like Citizen Kane.

Did anyone see the supposedly awful alien invasion film that came out last autumn?

skyline looked so cool on the trailers, then I watched and watched and told myself that it was going to get better, I waited and waited then I saw the credits and I asked myself, WTF did I just watched. I still don't get the movie. Surely they were thinking of making it a two part movie.

Skyline  it was appalling ,quite possibly the worst film I have ever seen ,at the very least in my bottem 5.

There was a apart in when this very pregnant women was being chased my a massive thing from space and everybody round her was being killed and she was moaning about somebody smoking near her , it was just silly

You lot clearly don't know anything about shit alien movies.

Skyline, worst of all time? Come off it.

Have a look at War Of The Worlds (Not Tom Cruise version) and War of The Worlds 2....now these are the worst movies of all time.

mmmm I thought the original one was quite good for the year it was made
Not really...The Tom Cruise version was made in the same year as Thomas Howell's.

2012 Doomsday and 100 Million BC are probably worse though. They make the worst re-makes ever.

Edit - Unless you mean the 1950's original, well that was better then the Howell version!

The name puts me off, it makes me think it is a special of Robot Wars or Gladiators.

I'd still like to know how Goldblum had the right cable to link into the mothership computer and upload the virus in "Independence Day". Was it just yer bog standard USB?

Don't be daft. They were aliens and Independence Day like totally had already gotten their technology. It was all wireless of course.

It was a decent film, depends what you were expecting I suppose...

If you think you will like this film then you probably will, as long as you aren't expecting citizen kane... this is a jarhead alien invasion film, get your popcorn and enjoy...

Aye. Worth a rental maybe, but surely there are better films out there in the theaters wherever caftards are. I was holding out some hope that the 'zero-plot-details' trailers were hiding some nice twists but it turns out they were hiding zero plot.

I liked it.

2 hours of completely mindless alien vs marines action with the plot being binned entirely instead having a half arsed cliche'd effort made of it.

Basically, they've aliened up Modern Warfare 2 and made it into a film. Or alternatively taken Cloverfield and made it less dull.

The vetenarian woman is possibly the most pointless character ever to appear in any film.

Thank you, my faith in humanity has been restored... it is what it is, and it's not bad.
