Certainly hope Rooney and Di Maria back, as the key two.

About time Evans, Jones, Rafael are back too.

Shaw I expect will be another week at least.

I predict Saints will draw tomorrow against Arsenal, then we'll nick a 2-1 win at their place, up into 3rd, and sit there safely for the rest of the season

I'll be proper excited about our chances if we can win this. 5 wins on the trot would be nice.

    Will be tough though.

My guess is we'll have Rooney, Rafael, Evans and maybe Shaw & Di Maria back for this.

2-0 win since Herrera has his bad game out of the way now.

We are playing them at the right time, If this was a month ago I reckon Southampton would beat us but they seem to be fading slightly while we are hitting a run of form.

2-1 United, late Falcao winner :keano:

Utd will win, Southampton haven't been able to beat any big club.

Rooney should be back which will be a huge boost, but I still can't see us winning it. Predicting a 1-1 draw.

If we can string a set of good results this month, there is a real possibility of us challenging for the title. Really looking forward to the next 2 games!

Win this and I'll start to become extremely confident of finishing in the top two or three.

anyone back for this... hope rooney starts. going to a different test to what we had today... a test i think we are better at... which is playing against a side that likes to play with the ball on the pitch. Pelle looks to have been figured out. Morgan Schneiderlin out hopefully will be a big boost for us. wont even try to make a team formation till the press conference when we hear who is back and who sprained a pinky toe at carrnigton

It's going to be interesting to see Young/Vanlencia versus a better team. If Rooney and Di Maria return, one of Mata/Herrera will be on the bench. I hope we don't return to play 4141.

we need to have more composure in the last third, we can't miss chances like we did against Stoke as we won't get many.

Big game this, especially with Liverpool following. It just feels like if we win these next two games then we will be back in business and on our stride again whereas a couple of dodgy results could throw us back into uncertainty about what our level is.

    Season defining.

    ---------------Carrick---------------

    Big Dave
    Rafa - Smalling - Rojo - Young
    Carrick
    Mata - Herrera - Fellani
    Rooney
    Falcao

Think we will struggle in this one. Their that home and will probably be on the back of 2 defeats, so the pressure will be on for them. If we can deal with their wing backs and Pele I think we should be fine.

    1-1(Rooney)

    Best case scenario?

    de Gea

    Rafael
    Smalling
    Rojo
    Young

    Carrick

    Fellaini
    Mata
    Herrera

    Rooney
    van Persie

SUBS: Lindegaard, McNair, Evans, Fletcher, Valencia, Januzaj, Falcao.

Don't get me wrong, I want him in the team, but on tonight's evidence, Falcao is nowhere near ready to start a game. Get another week's full training underneath his belt, try and give him half an hour and then unleash him against the Scousers?

    I really hate mondaynight football.
Works out well for us this time as it gives Di Maria and Rooney and the other crocks time to come back for this one which is a pretty biggy, considering they'll be ahead of us at the start of play.

    ---------------DeGea--------------
    -------Evans-Smalling-Rojo-------
    Rafael--------Carrick--------Young
    -------Fellaini--------Herrera------
    ---- --Januzaj--------Rooney------

Would like to see this. They are really good at switching play and puts in alot of crosses, an extra defender would be nice. In a diamond i think we would be too exposed on the flanks against the saints.

Maybe Wilson instead of Januzaj. Rooney is our most in-form striker and i would like to have the other striker dropping deep and let Rooney stay up more. Therefore we need one that can dribble and have some pace, and when Di Maria is injured, the two Young kids are the alternatives.

Exciting game, im far from confident of a win here, i like Saints very much and they have taken Koemans playing style to Them perfectly. Hearing that Schneiderlin maybe are out, if so, that's a huge boost for our chances, he really is the man pulling the strings for them.

Alternatively, we could also play a 4-5-1 with Januzaj and Mata on the flanks.
